I'd just like to say that YWS is at its best when it's at its most humourous. The reason that projects like 1000 Monkeys fail is because people are originally interested, but when it comes down to it they don't want to do it. But you saw the amount of interest just now when we're together making up puns and being stupid. If this is going to work, I think it needs to be taken lightly. As a group, we're probably not going to write a serious sort of musical about political intrigue. I, personally, and I'll wager quite a lot of other people, want to write something silly about Mesh's hair and SB addicts and just have a bit of craic with it. Which is why I'd say that we need to be able to laugh at ourselves. If we have a princesses group, the princesses need to all be shallow and worry about their nails. Things need to be over the top and loaded with private jokes, in-jokes and bad puns if we're going to hold interest for more than a week.
I understand completely. That's why Last Paladin suggested in in Pantomime forms, and hence the music. It's not necessarily a political campaign as much as it is a scrabble to the top of the pile. It's highly cliched in what can only make it funny and if it fails, hopefully it won't but it will fail with laugh.
