Me and Kassie walked up to the climbing wall. It was on full active mood. Shaking and crumbling, lava pouring out from the top, and rocks falling down and threatening to smash everything in it's path. All that good stuff.

I saw Kassie gulp. I smiled, "Don't worry, you can do it." I jumped onto the first ledge and held out my hand for her to take.

( Love you Calligraphy! I was hoping for a romance with Desert ( ok so it's not a romance it's Desert slightly crushing and Spirit being naive)and you give me what I wanted! Love ya'!)

-Spirit-

Desert sighed. He knew he couldn't argue with Nick. Especially not with cabin rules. We both get up and follow Nick out of the cabin. I feel Desert's gaze on me, but Nick doesn't seem to notice.I truly want to tell him- anyone - but I didn't want to worry Desert OR Charlie ray. They both have enough problems of their own. I flinch a bit uncomfortable with his gaze. I glance over, hoping to soothe his worries. We lock eyes. I never noticed how pretty his eyes are. Blue-green-gray. I break away. Well, that-that didn't work. Nick glances back.
" Are you guys ok?," he asks.
"F-fine," I replied shakily.
He shrugs. What in the world? Camp was my happy place and now my happy place was- scrambled. This secret could ruin everything. I tugged at my yellow sundress, afraid to talk to Nick or to look at Desert. It seemed like an eternity before we reached the Dining hall. I sigh with relief as we enter the overly crowded room. I wave at my friend, Charlie Rae wishing I could sit with her. Instead I sit next to a Hermes girl, her names Celcia I think, trying not to think. Chariot... Chariot...Chariot...Anything but the Secret.

Glancing around at the bright yellow room, I gag. yellow. Well, I suppose it's a tribute to Mom.Mom. who supposidly died in a car crash, after I was born. My mom was DEMETER. I remembered the "great revel" of last week.

"Your- not normal",the satyr had told me.

"What do you mean?,"I had asked, tired of all the confusion.

"Your mother is the godess Demeter,"he'd said.

" Your insane,"I said shaking my head.

After that he'd shown me his "goat legs" and a giant dragon ran after us. So, I suppose he was right. I plopped down on one of the beds and started unpacking my stuff. Old teddy bear, check. Comfy ripped jeans, check. Photo of my great dane, yep. Cheerios, uh-uh. Cheerios-grain. Demeter. Well, then. Glancing around I saw my cabin mates stuff scattered all around the room. I'd never had siblings. I wonder what they'd be like. I knew I'd be the youngest - I always was. I heard a knock at the door. Probaly should open that. Nah. I glanced out the window at a girl sitting under a tree, reading. she wore ripped jeans and looked about thirteen. Erm, well I guess that's as good a spot as any.

I walked down the stoney path toward the girl. Something caught my eye and I turned. Oh it was just that blondy I saw early. That pale pale hair of hers could start a fire. Getting distracted I glanced up to the clear and perfect sky. I felt the girl's eyes on me, I turn and meet them. She is a daughter of Hades. I know that before she even opens her mouth. The way she carries herself, the way she looks.
" Who are you," she asks bluntly.
I chuckle.
'"My names Kasey," I told her," You are..."
" Ophelia. Daughter of Hades."
" You... introduce yourself by your parents?"
"Newbie," she grins," yeah."
" Oh. I'm a daughter of Demeter, then."
" You don't look like one."
" Is that an insult?"
" No... a comment"
' Huh. I suppose I'll see ya' around."
She gave me a strange look, then smiled..
" I suppose I will."
She went back to her book. I saw it was "Jane Eyre". Huh. A almost friend. It's more then I could have hoped for. Even though I'd never read "Jane Eyre". I probaly should call my cousin and borrow that...

( Amu are you still in this? I don't want to be alone?!?!?!)

Ah, how I love adjitating Jack. I guess you could call our relationahip an annoying brother-sister one. I do love to annoy him. It's funny to watch when he's mad. He will never be as strong as me, no matter how hard or long he trains. Because I have trained longer and harder. Ho else would I have gotten this way?

I finished my breakfast and ran back to the cabin (you know, to help build up my calf muscles) and walked in through the door. No one else was there, they must still be eating. Pigs. I walked back to my bunk, all the way in the back of the room, and lay down on my bed. I stared up at the pictures of my little brother I had taped onto the bottom of his matress just after he died. I never allowed anyone to sleep on his bunk. No one complained. That's where being the strongest, and probably bravest, comes in handy.

Brian's death was the only thing I was ever upset about. Now if you think that his death made me all scared and timid, think again. Anyway, my brother was the only reason I dared to visit home.

"Can we please, please, please visit mom this year?" he would beg me, a puppy dog look on his face. There are just some questions you can't answer with no. That was one of those questions.

That lucky duck had gotten a quest his second year of camp.I won't tell you what it was about 'cause it's none of your buisness!

So he went away and ended up fighting a monster. The monster won. Now unfortunatly, for the monster, it is in grave danger. Because one day I am gonna get a quest, find that monster and pulvarize it. I will give it such a hard time that it won't want to reform.

Just then one of my siblings walked in through the door. I immediatly rolled of my bed and grabbed my lucky sword, a gift from Ares, from under my bed.

Keed walked towards me, glanced at the sword in my hand and laughed. "I guess I don't have to tell you it's time for swordfighting?"

I shook my head and grinned. Together we walked out into the dazzling sun and headed to my favorite activity.

Sorry for not posting sooner. (I don't think the whole 'Monday is Monday in the SB' thing is gonna work.)

~Kassie~

I took Tristan's hand, pulling myself up onto the first ledge with him. Great, just a hundred more, and I'd be to the top. Fun fun! For a moment, I thought I couldn't do this, but then I remembered who my father was, and I unconsciously touched my necklace, closing my eyes and taking a deep breath. If he could do this, so could I, I thought, and I began to climb up the wall, dodging everything that tried to hit me.

***************************************************

I woke up, a little disoriented, and I wanted to go back to sleep. I had spent half the night wondering why people treated me as if I was one of them--equal to them. I was new, and they all treated m as though I had been here my whole life.

I don't have time to worry about that, I realized, jumping out of bed, and pulling on a pair of jeans and a long-sleeved black shirt with a red tank-top under it. Who cared if my hair looked like I had just woke up, I pulled it into a quick ponytail and left it, hurrying out of the cabin and to breakfast.

Jessie

I was sitting between two girls, talking to them ecstatically when Justice decided to talk to me for the first time since we had a fight over... I didn't even remember.

I see you're still having fun. When are you going to focus? He asked. Ah, so it was about me focusing on girls rather than what I was supposed to be doing.

When it comes to the life or death situations. And what about you? You can help me anytime you want to, so why don't you come out when you don't want me to talk to them? I asked, not really wanting to him to come out at all.

Alright, he answered, and I knew he would do just that.

Had to admit it was a shoe in. Our chariot was woven with wood on the outside, covered with cement on the inside. ( My idea!!!) The bottom of the chariot, was designed similarly. Little daggers were hidden in the weave. Our horses were just brown mustangs. Desert and I were just adding a couple of tricks in it during this free time. He was still worried about me. I felt bad about it but there was no way I would worry him with my mortal problems. I stopped putting the stink bombs in the secret pouch to watch a passing cloud. Glancing at the chariot I decided it was good. Desert was adjusting something on the horses sadles and didn't notice me lay down on the ground. I lay there, just watching the clouds. After a bit Desert lays down beside me.

" Are you ok?," he asks.

I don't say anything, just twirl a piece of my hair. We sit in silence.

" Do you think we have a good chance?," I ask.

He rolls over on his side.

" Yeah, I do."

Something clicks inside my head. Grinning I turn my head.
" But it's not perfect- yet."

Ok everyone, time to chariot race!

>Saturday<
Nick~Hermes

I woke up quickly, remembering that today was chariot racing day. Me and Charlie had worked on our chariot all day yesterday. Ok, so maybe it wouldn't win the fancy award, with it's chipped paint and all, but being a Hermes kid, I had a couple tricks up my sleeves.

Everyone in my cabin woke up instantly. Not everyone was planing on racing, most were just going to watch today. As far as I could figure, Desert and Spirit were the only ones in the cabin that were going to race, besides myself.

Throwing on a pair of old jeans and a dirty T-shirt, I opened the cabin door and stepped out. All of the other cabins were emptying out, and we all headed toward the stables like one gigantic mob. I checked my watch, 15 minutes till race time.

I met up with Charlie at our chariot. "I'll leave you to get the horses hitched up, seeing as your Poisidan daughter and all." She nodded and left to go get the horses. After making sure everything was in place, I left to go make an errand of my own.

When I returned, Charlie already had the horses hitched. She must have seen the mischievous twinkle in my eye, because she crossed her arms and said, "Where have you been? What are you up to?" I shrugged and smiled innocently. The truth was, I had taken a visit to my cousin's chariot, and loosened the bolt on their wheels.

Charlie probably would have pestered me more but just then Chiron called for us to line up. She hopped into the chariot and grabbed onto the the horses reins. "Come on," she beckoned to me.

I sat in the bleachers and watched as everyone pulled to the starting line. I was so excited! "Whoohoo! Go Charlie! Go Bryan!" It was complicated when you had so many campers, I didn't know which one to root for, so I rooted for both of them. Gwen, being an Aphrodite girl, decided to stay out of the race; and Georgie, my other camper, just didn't feel up to it, I guess. They sat on either side of me and munched at bags of popcorn.

"Ready!" Chiron called from the judging table. "Set!" The campers tensed. Chiron blew into the conch horn and the chariots leaped forward.

Okay, so I'm all phsyched for the chariot races and we're starting soon. But before we do I gotta share something very interesting that happened to me today.

I woke up this morning and bumped my head on the bunk above me. I silently yelped and rolled out of bed. I had to remember that I had grown over the summer and the bunk beds hadn't. I crept past my snoring siblings and slipt out into the morning sun. I usually don't like waking up this early, but I needed some extra training. I sometimes sneak off into the woods to fight the monsters. It helps me keep on my toes and be completely ready for battle.

I snuck past the Apollo cabin and peeked in the window. Luckily they were all asleep. They must not have felt like waking up with the sun this morning. I ran the rest of the way into the woods. I pulled out my sword scanned the woods, looking for a monster I could fight. I made it almost into the heart of the woods before I heard somthing.

There was a rustling in the bushes to my right. I bent low and pointed my sword at the bushes, ready to pounce. What came out of the bushes caught me totally off guard. Well, who came out the bushes I should say.

"P-please don't hurt me. I'm n-not bad."

A small timid boy was standing before me. I'd never seen him before, but he seemed to know why he was here. I stared at his eyes. They were the same color as mine which freaked me out even more.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"My name is Andreas. You aren't going to hurt me right?" He asked staring at my sword. I glanced down at it and put it back in my hilt.

"No I'm not. I'm not bad either. Are you a demigod?"

"I don't know," he responded, "all I know is that I heard someone talking in my head. He told me to close my eyes real tight and not move. I felt this rush of air and next thing I was here in the woods. There have been a lot monsters that have come by. Don't make me stay here." the boy made a puppy-dog face that reminded me so much of Brian that I got chills. I looked at him. He looked lost and confused.

I was just about to tell him all about camp half blood when a bright light flashed over his head. Looking up I saw a bright red spear spinning over the boy's head. At that moment I knew. It was the same symbol that appeared over my head when I got to camp. He was a son of Ares. He was my brother.

He tried to see what I was staring at, but he couldn't see it. Once I pulled my gaze away from the spear, I told him what it was. His eyes grew wide and he suddenly realized something.

"Ares must have been the one who brought me here. That would make sense!" he told me excitedly. I nodded and told him to come with me. I walked with him back to the cabin then told him to wait outside. Keen and Jack were awake (finally) so I told them all about Andreas. They looked at each other and walked outside.

"Andreas?" Jack asked the little boy. He nodded. "Well, welcome to Camp Half-Blood. Did you come here with a Satyr?"

"What's that?" Andreas asked.

"I told you already Jack, he just popped up in the woods. There was no one with him." Jack looked at me then back at Andreas.

"Okay, here's what we have to do. After the chariot races we'll take him to Chiron and Mr. D. We'll let them know the situation and then we'll see what happens." Jack announced. I was satisfied with that answer so I beckoned Andreas along.

"Come on, the chariot races are starting soon. You can sit in the stands and watch me and Jack race." I told Andreas. He nodded his head and followed me, Keen, and Jack as we all head to the arena.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Lexie, you ready?" Jack yelled at me. I tear my eyes away from Andreas and shake the story from my mind.

"Yeah, you got the stuff?"

Jack piled a net, a javelin and a jar of Greek fire into the chariot. How he got the Greek fire, I don't know, but hey, I'm not complaining.

"Okay, do you want to control the horses?" Jack asked me.

I nodded. "Yeah, you'd be better with the fighting anyway."

Jack raised an eyebrow. "Really? I thought you were the best fighter here?"

I punched him on the arm. "Try to keep you ego under control."

He smiled back at me and hooked up the horses to our chariot. Scanning the stands I realized everyone was there. If a camper wasn't racing, they were watching, ready to cheer on their favorite camper team.

"Ready!" Chiron called from the judging table. "Set!"

Jack and I were ready as we ever could be. Slightly leaning forward, I was ready to go. Chiron blew into the conch horn and off we went.

New Camper Alert!

Name: Andreas Minopolous

Age: 12
Mortal Parents: Katrina and George Minopolis
God Parent: Ares

Appearance: Short boy with jet black hair and black eyes that turn fiery when he's scared or ready to charge into battle. He likes wearing hoodies and jeans.

Spoiler

Just imagine the boy in this picture a little younger and with less hair. I couldn't really find a good picture.

Personalities: He's a little timid, which is strange for a son of Ares, but he's not afraid to get in your face. Once he learns all about the camp, he's really excited to get started. He enjoys fighting and climbing the rock wall, which he successfully climbed on his first try.

Other Personalities: In battle he prefers a sword and shield. That way, he can attack and hurt with two weapons, one of which also protects him. He enjoys training in the arena and climbing the rock wall. His favorite part of the day is lunch. After a long morning, who wouldn't want a great feast?

Brief History: He lived with his parents in Florida and enjoyed going to the beach almost every day. Monsters stayed away from him for a while, but one day about five monsters attacked him at once. He didn't have a weapon, so his only option was to run. He ran down the beach and hid in a changing room. He heard Ares' voice in his head (though he didn't know it was Ares). Ares told him to close his eyes tight and hold very still. The next thing Andreas knew, he was in the woods of Camp Half-Blood. Lexie found him in the woods when he was claimed as Ares' son.

Up for love: Nope. He's at that age where girls are gross.

Other: He looks up to Lexie because she was the one who had found him first. He really loves Camp Half-Blood and isn't sure if he ever wants to go back home.

Alex~ Apollo

Our chariot lurched forward, but not as smoothly as I expected. The chariot rattled as we raced forward and we dropped behind. The Ares chariot pulled beside us, and then started going ahead. Ebony urged the horses on, and I drew an arrow from my quiver. I aimed carefully at the back of Ares chariot, and shot. Hitting my mark of course.

The arrow had a string attached to it. So now their chariot was pulling our chariot. They pulled us ahead of the Hermes chariot and I laughed and yelled ahead, "Jack, Lexi, thanks for the free ride!" They just smirked back at us and turned the first corner. I realized to late why they were so smug. The impact of their chariot turning, swung our chariot, making it tip, and I knew that it was going to capsize. Jack drew his sword and slashed at the rope that had attached our chariots, and our chariot flipped.

Me and Ebony both screamed as we were thrown. I landed painfully with an "umph". Unfortunately my left arm was in the wrong place at the wrong time. A nasty crack came from my arm and I gasped in pain. Trying desperately to hold back tears I army-crawled off of the track. My broken arm was on fire with pain and I was afraid to look at it, knowing that I would see it deformed and bloody.

The sound of rushing feet made me look up, and I saw my cabin mates run up to me. Being Apollo kids, they were some of the best with medical injuries and I was glad to have them there. They surrounded me and helped me up. I wanted to watch the end of the race but I knew it was important that my arm was put back in place, so I let my siblings bring me to the camp infirmary.

The reason I made it like this was to:
1. Make it more realistic.

2. To speed things up a bit and keep things moving.
I was in a demigod storybook once that took four days to get to the chariot race, and we started the SB on the morning of the race. It died before we could even start the race.
After that, I was really disappointed and I promised myself I would make a better demigod storybook that finished the race.

But considering that the race might take a little longer, and nothing interesting is going to happen on Sunday (I don't think they'll have a Sunday morning church service. lol) we'll let Saturday drag on to Sunday, and then we'll pick back up on Monday being Monday.

Ah the races. I could practicaly smell all the trickery. ( I was after all, a Hermes girl.) Grinning I glanced over at Desert. He smiled back, but still had that worried glint in his eyes. I flinched. He's your friend. I'll tell him right after the races. We had made our adjustments ( cement turned out to be a bit heavy.) Now we were minutes away from the beggining of the race.
" You steer," he told me.
" That way I can control my own weapon?," I teased him.
" You know there's absolutely no way I'm gettinng near that thing!"

I laugh and it feels good. Desert tends to do that to me.

" Charioteers ready!," Chiron shouted.

I wink at Desert and he rolls his eyes.

"3...2...1 GO!!!!"
Our Chariot smoothly lurches foward and we zoom foward. Swerving past Alex and Ebony, we take a firm spot in the middle. I hear Ebony scream. One down, five to go.
" Release the stink!,' I cry back.
Desert lets go of about 5 stink bombs that blow in all the other charioteers faces. We pull into the second place.

* Feel free to still pull in front of us... I just felt like releasing stink bombs!:)*
I have loved the words and I have hated them. I only hope I have made them right.

Name: Georgie Decamshyre
God parent: Hades (if I can have that)
Human parent: Dalila Decamshyre
Age: 16
Personality: Nice at times, can be hateful and cold. Likes to hang out with boys more than girls. Enjoys watching the Ares kids fight with the Athena kids. She is considered the secret weapon of the Blue Team. She is only nice to her two friends, Tristen and Trent.
Weapon: Black Night. The sword is made of all Onyx. She wears a bracelet on her right wrist, and when she pushes the Onyx gem her sword comes out.
Powers: She can create fire and weild it like a sword. She can also make clouds of smoke, for a sneaky get-away or to protect something from falling.
History: She has been at camp since she was twelve. Her home was attacked by a Harpie in the middle of the night, luckily her "ADHD" *cough fighting skills cough* kicked in and she beat the monster. Her mom then relized that she needed to be sent to Camp Half-Blood and this how she got to camp.
Mortal life: Georgie was a normal child until she was twelve. She was considered "popular" but never embraced it. She hated being surrounded by people. During her life she would hear her dad aka Hades talking to her, telling her the right things to do. I know that doesn't sound like Hades, but hey he wanted her to grow up being "nice" and "caring" which never happened. She basically did the opposite of whatever he told her.
Relationships: None, she would like to find an awesome guy to be with but she can't.
Saytr: Tristen, just for Dragonet!
Close of hers is Trent
And my story started here
I was sitting in the bleachers with Tristen watching the chariot races. I watched Trent drive his chariot by, shouting at some kid from the Hermes cabin. I giggled to myself knowing that he would win.
"Tris, who do yuo think is going to win?"
"I don't know Georgie. I don't know."
"Well take a guess.... Wait what's that jar? Shit! He's got some Greek fire!" I gasped as Charlie and that Hermes kid use the jar to create a smoke screen. I was worried about what would happen to Trent. I soon saw that the air cleared and it revealed a pegasus with Trent on it.
"Tris? Tris!? Look!!" I pointed towards the sky and saw Trent get stabbed in the thigh with a spear. Next thing I know he's fallnig, really fast. Tristen gasped as he started to fall. I jumped up from my seat and started to jump over kids and saytrs.
"Georgie! Georgie! Come back here!!!" Shut up Tris! I got down to the barrier between the race and the campers watching. Holding my hands out towards Trent I summoned a dark cloud of smoke. Please work. I tried to make the cloud as thick as I could, and next thing I knew Trent was safely on the cloud. I pulled the cloud towards the bleachers.
"MOVE!" I hissed at the small campers sitting there. I gently removed the cloud and laid Trent there. Chiron came running, galloping, over to us.
"What happened Miss Decamshyre?"
"I-I don't know! There was Greek fire, a pegasus, and then he's falling! I think he g-got stabbed."
"Well let's get him to the Big House." I nodded and helped Trent up.
"Trent? Trent, wake up." I heard him groan and look up at me. I smiled knowing that he was ok, well to some extent.

Sorry if I kinda took over. I was just trying to give you guys a feel to my character. I edited this after The New Hero posted his comment. :)

Trent ~ Zeus
-----
Chariot day at Camp Half-Blood. Praise Zeus we get to drive around a track with dangerous machines. I'd be happy to simply continue writing my novel based on one of Rachel's prophecy, but none of the other Zeus kids have stepped up to the plate.

So it was me all alone. I shouldn't have been allowed to race without a partner but I uh... made special provisions. Only one horse. Small chariot. Easier to maneuver. My spear in hand, crackling with electricity.

The track was a blur. I push above a nature spirit I recognized as Jones, grinning as I shoot past him. His mouth forms a wide 'O' and he suddenly begins frowning and shouting at me. Ares and Hermes were the cabins with the most show. They were going to be hardest to beat. Think Trent. Ares or Hermes. Who to take first?

I decided on the Hermes kids. Possibly stupid. But I was hoping that I could lure the Ares kids into a scuffle and then launch my secret weapon.

A few of the other chariots pull up in front of me. We'd been around once already. Two laps to go. I curse as I nearly run over this overturned Apollo kid. Nonetheless, I pull up by Nick from Hermes cabin. As our cabins race side by side I catch the site of Charlie, daughter of mighty Poseidon, with a water pouch in her hand.

"Yo! See you at the finish line, guys!" I shout. Nick can't help but smile slyly.
"If you make it." Suddenly he pulled out this jar of Greek fire. He didn't do what I expected him to, which was blow me to Hades. Instead, he attached it to the back of the chariot. He took the reins from Charlie and told her to use her powers.

The jar exploded and Charlie started drenching water in their wake. They shoot forward leaving a smokescreen in their wake. The rest of the campers tried desperately to avoid the trap. I caused the rushing wind to redirected. The smoke from the flames got into the eyes of the Ares campers who started cursing with extra spice.

Nick's jar runs out. I manage to get the Ares campers right on my side as the three of us crossed the line. Ares stabbed. I crouched. It hit Charlie in the arm. She screams and splashes the Ares kid with water. I stab Nick's wheel. "Hey!" I pick it his pocket making sure to crush whatever I can. "Stop it!"

As both chariots push against me, I grab at the reins, dodging spears all the while. "Now!" I shout. My horse suddenly unveils two magnificent wheels that burst his 'body armour'. The wind resistance causes us to shoot up. Ares and Hermes hit each other hard. I'm about to cross the finish line when I feel a piercing arrow in my thigh. My pegasus cries. My thigh burns like the sun itself. My siblings had warned me not to do this. If I failed in the flying trick I probably wouldn't live. And now I'd gotten myself into a real mess. As I fall to my death, I pray to all the gods I knew...

---

I'm sorry if I haven't done this properly. Maybe I took over a little too much. This is only my second storybook.
