Name: Keed Sears

Age: 17

Parents: Ares and Poppy Sears

Appearance: She's not short, but she's not tall either. Her clothing style is a mix of country and punk, with a lot of plaid.

Spoiler
Image

Personalities: For a child of Ares, she's likable enough and can get along with people, but she has a temper if you mess with her. She loves weapons and fighting and archery and other physical stuff.

Other Personalities: Likes: Fighting and other physical stuff. Dislikes: Frilly stuff, girly girls, and Aphrodites girls.

Brief history: She lived with her mom 'till she was twelve, when she ran away. For two years she outran police and monsters until a Satyr found her and brought her to Camp Half-Blood, where she's stayed year round.

Up for love: Maybe.

Other: She has an addiction to black coffee. She desperately wants to go on a quest, and that's probably the only reason she would give up coffee.

I'm going to make a satyr, since no one else will.

Name: Tristen Vine

Age: 36, but he looks/acts like an 18 year old.

Apearance: Curly brown hair that covers his goat horns. Brown eyes. Like pic but he has a little bit of a go-T, (and modern day clothes)
Spoiler
Image
And this hat.
Image

Personality: Tristen is impatient and hates waiting for anything. He's a very positive thinker, but most of it is just an act to cheer up the people surrounding him. He's very self-conscious. Tristen loves his campers is so very proud of all of them; he's always there for them. He likes tin cans, volleyball, his campers, and strawberries (he usually can't help himself from eating the strawberries that the camp grows. So he usually gets in trouble for this). He's an amazing volleyball player, everyone would agree that he's the best.

Campers: Charlie Browen, Bryan Barlow, Jason Riley, Gwen Scot, Georgie Decamshyre, and Marie Hefter (If you guys don't mind.)

As half-blood hill came into view, I quickened my run, a funny little skipping gait that all of us satyrs had. I was coming home for the summer. Unfortionatly I hadn't found any half-bloods this year. Mr. D will have my goat hide. I guess I'm just not good enough I sighed.

When I finally got into the camp boundaries, I found everyone sitting down at the pavilion, eating breakfast. When my campers saw me, they smiled and shouted, "Tristen!" in union. I smiled and gave Jason and Gwen a side-hug, and slapped high-fives with Bryan.

"Children! Children! Back to your seats please!" Mr. D called from his table. Then he looked at me and commanded, "Tristen, report." I headed toward his table in dread.

What was wrong with me? I paced back and forth. What was that feeling? Spirit was just my friend no more. Yes, a good friend she had been one of the only people that I trusted at first, but she was only a friend. I looked at the cabin door. She was my friend and something was wrong. I should be there for her not be thinking like this. Not be so confused. It was my second day at camp. Why did it have to be so difficult? I squeezed my eyes shut. O.K. what would spirit want me to do. What would make her feel the best. I searched my brain. Finally I decided.

I turned the handle. "Sorry" I realized that it was breakfast time I had slept late. That was fine I didn't feel like eating. "Do you want to talk?"

She just stared into space fiddling with her blonde hair. It shone golden in the sunlight streaming through the window. I sat down on my bed and waited. A few minutes passed. Finally she said,

"Not right now, not at the beginning. It is my first day. Wouldn't want to ruin it."

"You wouldn't ruin it by telling me. But, if you want to wait I won't pry. If it is something that bad you know you can tell me anything. I am good at keeping secrets." A small smile crept onto her lips. I wondered why. Probably a memory. The cabin fell silent for a few more minutes.

"So, chariots. What do you want to make?" She asked. I could tell she was still absentminded, but I decided to ignore it. She obviously didn't want to tell me just yet.

"Well, my only idea is really sucky, but I was thinking if we made a net big enough. The person who stands at the back of the chariot could throw it on someone. We don't have a ton of time, but if we worked on it through the night we could probably get one done in time. I already started one." I nodded at the net hung from tacks on the wall."

"That sounds good" She trailed off.

"Spirit, if you don't tell me what is wrong you are going to be depressed the whole time at camp. What is bothering you so much?"

I looked around and noticed that two of my campers were missing. I knew that they could take care of themselves, but Mr. D would be so mad if he found out. Calling me irresponsible and most likely take away my leader ship over cabin 11.

I quickly stood up and headed for the Hermes cabin. Thankfully, Mr. D was to busy scolding a satyr to notice me leave. When I got to the cabin, I peered inside. Sure enough, Spirit and Desert were sitting inside. They looked like they were having an important conversation, and I hated to interrupt, but I had to.

They both jumped when I cleared my throat. "Hey, you guys, we're eating Breakfast without you."

Desert shrugged, "I'm not hungry."

I grimaced, "Sorry, bud, but it doesn't matter if your about to die because your so full of food, your going to Breakfast. Camp rules." I didn't want to be hard on them, they were both kind of new, but rules were rules.

Cassandra (Friday):

I sat at the table in the pavilion, trying to ignore the girl opposite me. It was irritating. I'd only just gotten to this place and I already wanted to leave. I sighed and picked at me food, not really hungry. The man in charge, Mr. D, I'd been told, was scolding a satyr. Who knows what had happened now.

Frowning, I felt memories of my mother creep up on me and forced them away. I would not think about her now, of all times. Finally I pushed my plate away and looked up. A lot of others were staring at me. Yeah, having Hades for a dad would do that.

I wanted to go off on my own somewhere, but I didn't. Instead, I slanted a glance towards the girl who shared the table with me. Ophelia, I think her name was. Well, I wasn't the only child of Hades in camp. Not surprising, that is. Not at all. I turned back to Mr. D and waited, frowning. Now what was happening?

Jack Hunt

"So Jack. How are the weapons coming for the chariot race this weekend?" Lexie said beside me as I sat to breakfast.

"You know ranged weaponry isn't my specialty." I responded. I had almost missed breakfast due to wanting to get some strength training in. I had to run half way across the camp and I wasn't in the mood to give a 'status report'.

"I know," Lexie responded, "so, how's the strength training coming along? Getting close to beating me in arm wrestling yet?"

"Getting there." I said. I guess I saw Lexie as someone I wanted to be like. She was stronger than me, so I used that fact to try my best to get to her level. Though it's hard when she keeps on giving me these useless assignments that are not worth my time.

"Come on you two," Keed said from the other side of the table, "don't fight right now. We need to be together if we want to beat everyone else."

"Yeah, Jack." Lexie said with a mocking smile. Some might see us as being always on each other's last nerve, but that is just how Ares kids treat each other. We usually mean nothing by it and it all is usually just a test of dominence. Of course I was working on the weapons, but I just wanted a better use for my time. I was also worried that I would miss something and they wouldn't work properly. In that case, I had a plan 'B' with something that was in my specialty.

"Okay, Keed." I said, "Lexie, I have some basic weapons on there, like a net launcher and such but I'm worried that it might stick or something so I also added ways to tear up the opposition."

"Like spikes on the wheels?" Keed asked.

"Yeah. That, and a way to detach the horses from the carrige. Just an extendable blade positioned on a perfect angle for that."

"Better than nothing." Lexie said, "Alright, now let's see how that strength training is coming." We both engaged in an arm wrestle. Lexie won yet again. I needed more training.

After Breakfast, Ebony and I headed off to check on our chariot. It was awesome. It started out white, but me and Eb had splattered a bunch of different bright colored paints on it. Our horses were beautiful Appaloosas, one gray and one brown. We each had a quiver that included dull arrows, fire arrows, and fart arrows.

The wheels were set out, colored in bright colors of course. They were laying beside the chariot, still unattached. Me and Ebony each picked up a wheel and began placing it on the chariot.

We only managed to get one on before our cabin councilor walked in and told us it was time for flying horses practice with the Demeter cabin. Eb looked at me, disappointed.

"We'll finish it at free period." I told her, and we rushed off to the stables.

Really, we just started the day. Your cabin is probably at there first activity. No one has mentioned your characters so far, so you don't have to worry about following up on that. So right now you don't have to be any where. I can bring you in if you want.

As soon as I was free of the ever-crowded mess hall, I made a beeline for my oak tree. The tree was ancient, but remained short enough in stature that I only had to scale only a few feet of its trunk before i could reach its lowest branch. From there, I rapidly traversed the familiar route and settled into the space between the bases of two branches, leaning my back against the trunk. I looked up, and sighed. The day was agonizingly clear, defiant of the thick purple ring that surrounded our minuscule circle of sky. Who had decided that everyone's idea of good weather was "perfect", cloudless skies? I guess I could see the merit, trying to practice archery when it was pouring would be pretty inconvenient. Even still, you would think it could rain one day, just one.

Pulling my tattered copy of Jane Eyre down from its "shelf", I began to read. "She regretted to be under the necessity of keeping me at a distance; but that until she heard from Bessie, and could discover by her own observation that I was endeavoring in good earnest to acquire a more sociable and childlike disposition...." I would never survive in her shoes. I doubt any child of Hades would be able to, in fact. Just then, I heard footsteps up he path. I listened intently but I could't identify their owner. Whoever it was stopped, and sat at the base of a tree some feet away from mine, but facing the wrong way. I frowned, who was it?
