I'm new to this website...

let me introduce myself, I am cannoncomplex...I am a university student studying religious studies and psychology with an odd mix of philosophy.

I enjoy writing stories. I had practice and experimented with various genres and found out that i should be writing that was uncommon. hence, my stories and the context are plain weird and makes your head go a bit crazy. Many people commented on the complexity while the peers in my writing group seem to enjoy it, so i'm still a little baffled and this place may be a good place to let you guys know of what you think...

plus, i can get to read more of your stories as well...

anyway,
i'm gone...

Hi and welcome to the site. I will call you... cannon... complex...cannon. It is great that you are into religious studies and psychology because part of me wants to go into that kind of study. Right now though my life is more filled up with 8th grade school. What university do you go to?

I love to read different things or 'weird' as you call it. Now I can't wait to see your work because I want to see why it is supposed to make me go crazy. You are correct you also need to read our stories or what would be the fun in that? Huh huh tell me! :D I can be very immature at times sorry.

This site may seem really huge and confusing at first, but it really isn't. Don't worry about a thing. Everyone is happy to help the new kid. I tried to do one new thing every time I went on, but I will give you a quick overview of some of the stuff.

Blogs - blogs are a great place to read about fellow YWSers stories, everyday life, or random thoughts. They can be a great way to get a discussion going. P.M. me if you start one!

Chat room - you have probably mastered this, but just let me be happy and explain. The chat room can be found under featured works. (you can also see the leader boards there this is where they congratulate people who have the most reviews.) This is a great place to get to know people and ask simple questions.

Storybooks - Storybook RPGs are a good place to learn to make better characters though the stories are usually never finished. They also take commitment. But, you should check them you.

Besides that I think you can figure everything else out. If you have trouble just P.M. me.

Hope to see you around,

A. S.

Hey, than you should be adequately equipped to tell me if this makes sense.

My summary does not at all represent the book accurately, in fact it's much more interesting and less fantasy...y.
In a book I read, Firestorm, by David Klass, the main character is running away from monsters. His dog friend tells him that he has to move randomly at all times. So they play the chicken and egg game. They pick an egg - a plane - and ask where it was hatched - Kitty Hawk. They then travel there.
As they travel, the hero has a sense to take a detour. Despite the dog arguing he says,'We're being random'. He goes right up to the front get of the White House, or around that area. Suddenly the monsters appear! After a big fight, the dog says they weren't being as random as thought. Actually it was epoch-appropriate behaviour.
As children we are taught that if we're ever in trouble, we should go to an authority. Feeling that he was in trouble, he had a compelling urge to go to a higher authority - the president.

Now would you say that that kind of psychology also applies to the fact that my classmates (Grade 8s in a high school - in this country the high school goes up to 12 and my school is mixed junior and primary so straight from 6 to 18. Nonetheless there is the whole feeling of being the underdogs in the high school as segregation between junior, primary and high school is practice) - those brackets were too long - *Sigh* Would you say that that kind of psychology applies to the fact that my male classmates immediately stand at the toilets just before we're let into the hall for our spring dance? I mean really.

Anyway, it's great to meet you! Hope you have fun here. My name's TheNewHero and, yes, I AM a Superhero. Don't worry, I won't destroy you. Unless you piss me off...

So what made you decide to major in religious studies and psychology?
