I cannot feel your pain;
I guess I am too happy.
Don't tell me what I say,
Is "totally sappy".
If you have a problem,
With who I am,
That's your deal,
So why's it me you slam?
I can't understand,
Your misery.
I can't comprehend,
Why you do this to me.
Sarcasm is not funny,
In the way you use it now,
As you make such fun of me,
But they can't see how.
You've got all the teachers,
Completely fooled,
And though you're raging inside,
You try to appear cooled.
You go so far,
As to say, "Be yourself,"
But you don't listen to that;
You're just one of the shelf.
Neither of us is perfect,
But can't we get along?
We can if you stop it!
Stop correcting what's not wrong!
You say "crazy" like it's a bad thing...

the rhyming is far too forced. in fact, it's so forced that you lost sight of both meaning and rhythm. not all poetry has to rhyme - i'd enjoy this subject matter far more if you rejected the rhymes in place the true thing - poetry.

I thought the rhyming was limiting and a bit forced. In most places it still flowed okay, but one part in the middle threw me off:

"Sarcasm is not funny,
In the way you use it now,
As you make such fun of me,
But they can't see how.
You've got all the teachers,
Completely fooled,
And though you're raging inside,
You try to appear cooled."

It's forced rhyming and the period after "how" is misplaced. And "you" has all the teachers completely fooled? How?

However, there were some parts I liked. The first eight lines and the last four are pretty good (except "so why's it me you slam?" seemed like forced wording.)

Overall, I would suggest in future works, don't focus so much on the rhyme. If what you're trying to say can't get through to the reader, rhyming doesn't matter.

Hey innerbeauty, welcome to YWS. Hope you're enjoying the site so far.

As regards your poem: I can definitely see where you're coming from here, and I like the way you let your frustration come through without telling the reader the specific circumstances. Some of your lines are really quite clever - particularly "you're just one off the shelf". Nice turn of phrase! A little bit of editing might make the poem even better though.

When rhyming in a poem it is quite important to follow some form of rhythmic structure. I can see that you've tried to do that here, but it looks to me like the structure you've chosen (as niteowl says) is limiting your creative flow. Because of this, there are parts of the poem where you break with the rhythm and where I felt the word choice and word order were somewhat forced. In "so why's it me you slam?" for example, you are breaking the rhythm of the previous lines - there are too many syllables - and the word "slam" seems chosen specifically because it rhymes with "am". I understand what you mean here, and I think with fewer syllables in the line "slam" might fit nicely, as it is wonderfully expressive of the feeling one gets when criticized or made fun of. Still, I think a bit of rewording for the rest of the line is in order.
A little further on, when you talk about "as you make such fun of me/but they cant see how", this is also a little stiff. For a moment, the reader is forced to do a double take, thinking "Eh? Who cant see how?". This ruins the momentum somewhat (to me, at least) and appears, once again, to have been inserted merely to continue the rhyme. If I were you I would go through and experiment with the wording of some of these awkward lines; perhaps reading out loud would help you to get into the flow, and see where lines need rearranging etc.

There was a nice, steady beat in some parts though, and overall I felt it has the potential to be quite a good poem. You just need to either pay more attention to the rhythm as well as the rhyme, or drop the rhyme altogether and explore a freer method of composition. I know a lot of people believe that its not poetry unless it rhymes: but that's not true! Poetry can often be better and more expressive when it doesnt rhyme, so you could maybe keep that in mind for future poems. I will look forward to reading some more of your work on the site. :D

See you around!

Got a poem or short story you want me to critique?
