Love is Where the Booty is

My favorite thing about this drawing is the title - I know that sounds bad.

I need to put more shading in at her knee, but other than that I really like this one!

A Girl Named Hannah

I had a model for this one. I love her facial features. She has such an interesting face. Trust me, this is exactly what she looks like. Weird, huh?

This one is unfinished. I still have to do the hair, which is really, really hard.

I made it into the advanced art class at school. Wish me luck! <3

Yay Classy!
*high fives*
We posted our work :3
So, anyways, on to the review.

1. I love this picture. It's so cute! :3
I've always wanted to draw a couple embracing but it's hard to get them to look like they're 'actually embracing' instead of having a bunch of limbs and arms hanging everything, haha. But, you've done a pretty good job. My one concern with this is, your shading seems to be all monotone. I would have liked it if you tried to vary the tones slightly, it could have given the picture more dimension. Overall, however, it's still pretty good.

Love is Where the Booty is

*dies* lol

2. I actually like this picture a lot. It seems that you've spent a lot of time drawing her. I can see that. her eyes are beautiful and the detail in the lashes, makes me happy! Haha. I also like the eyebrows, they look realistic, since they're done strand by strand, slightly. And of course drawing hair is hard! It makes me frustrated and angry, that I want to eat my drawing! Yes, it's that bad. But, you have to focus on the shading rather than the lines of hair. Find the dark spots, find the highlights. Use different utensils. Anyway, this is still an amazing drawing :3 Good job, Classy!
Total *likes*

Sam! Hi!

I told you I would review these, and here I am! I really, really like these; you're such a talented drawer.

#1
I like some of your shading here and line work. But I think that it could be a lot better then it is right now; first, despite this title, it doesn't look like the girl has a butt at all. :P I mean, I can see where it's supposed to be, but it still looks very flat in that area. Another thing you might want to consider is having different hair colors for the girl and boy. Since they're exactly the same and they're right next to each other, it's hard to tell the difference. Also, is this pair supposed to be kissing or just putting their arms around each other? The boy's leaned in like it would be the former, yet the girl's staring straight out like it would be the latter.

Otherwise, I really like this one!

I don't have much to say about this one, because it's amazing. I love how you've captured her facial features. However, like Pink said, I think you can work a little bit on the shading. There are parts that seem very subtle and realistic, and it all seems to class with the outline of her face, which is really thick and bold. I'd make it a bit lighter and have it blend in with the picture a bit more. I'd talk about the hair, but I figure it will probably look better once you finish it.

That's it! Thanks for letting me look at these; you're such a talented artists. PM me if you need anything!

These were both great- you're wonderful at blending shades, especially in the girl's face. I would try incorporating more depth in your shading though, as it is somewhat monochromatic at some points. The clarity in the first one is great- there aren't any parts when things seem jumbled at all, which can be difficult, as Pink said, when drawing people embracing. Or two people even near each other.

The second one is great, but her lips are very small, and very dark. Unless she's wearing lipstick, her lips should really be the same color as her skin. Also, the line defining them is very dark- if you look at lips, they kind of just blend into your skin at one point, and there isn't really one line where they end. I would also make her ear larger- ears are surprisingly sized, from about the middle of your eye for the top down to the middle line in between your lips. I really like the detail in the eye, and how you did the nostril (correctly! yay! people always forget about that!). Overall, really well done. c:

Heya Sam! So I figured since we're doing a review contest why not review something of yours? >:D

Now off we go!

Now #1- Now you're right, she does need some shading at her knee, but the biggest thing I noticed was that the dress needs some shading. Some wrinkles, some 3D-ness! I love how you have the outline of her *ahhem* "booty" *giggles* but right now without any kind of other shading it looks like it's see-through. Also are they supposed to be just hugging, or making out? Because his hair is over top of hers, and it looks a little funky. But it's awesome! :D

#2- Love love love! This one, I wish I could do lips like that. The only issue I have with this one it that the line outlining the face is really dark, and solid, making her look one dimensional. Also a little bit of shine, or shading on the forehead I would suggest to make it seem round, since if you look at most people's foreheads, (lol) there's usually like a shiny reflection sort of thing. So go study some foreheads and stuff xD. I can't wait to see this one finished!

Now I'm off to do three more reviews! Love ya!

Hello there. :)

1. People making out! Don't worry, I do that too... I love it by the way. At first glance, I thought this was going to be bad. Yes, I know, this is harsh. But then I looked at it moree closely and scrolled down. It's beautiful.

2. I love her face. If she really does look like that, I would want to see her. She looks really beautiful and an interresting subject.

Keep drawing! You are really good.
