I'll help with whatever. I could even try really pixel-y art using Paint.NET...

Well we've discussed what'd be awesome about it. What are the drawbacks beside the fact we'd just have more to be obsessed with?

The drawback is actually collecting or playing the game, I think. XD We can probably work some chat variant of it, but otherwise, this is just for kicks. (And it's always best to not consider any site coding.)

If we're going to do it, we should have any artists here that are willing to sample some drawings and post it.. somewhere.. and we can have the rest think about how the game should be run (i.e. if we're using all of Grif's ideas, revamping his ideas, or starting anew). Basically, start with individual brainstorming.

I'll try to get to a computer lab and work with Photoshop/Illustrator at some point this week. Do we want to structure the rules against another common TCG like Yugioh or Pokemon? (I half-know Pokemon but gave up on it 'cause Yugioh seemed way more fun strategically, but for our purposes, maybe Pokemon would be our best line-up.) Or perhaps we want to use dice with our cards or some-such. *throws out mumbo-jumbo*
I make my own policies.

I think something more like Magic: The Gathering would be fun (which seems to be what Griff proposed). Simplifying it a bit wouldn't hurt, but the system has a lot more flexibility than Yugioh and Pokemon, and so it would allow for more fun with restrictions and effects, especially on member cards.

Every member that wants a card, that is. :)

Instead of Grif's groupings, it might be more fun to use Firestarter's YWS Cliques. :)

I really, really wish I'd seen this before.

I have no skills in card games beyond Cheat and Irish Snap, and my artistic skills are in someone else's body, but I'd love to see how this works out.

Oh wow, let's dooooo it! This looks like an awesome idea, I'd be willing to help out wherever I can. I think where distribution goes, we could have a user that has access to printable versions of the cards and then people could buy them with YWS points? Or something along those lines?

Then a chat game involving them. Epic.

I really like this idea. It another way we could put our unique twist on the site and I would love to be able to confuse my friends with it!

Although if I got one I know I'd be stuck with a teddy bear. I should have thought up a better user name.

Or 22. I'd probably be stuck with superman.

Nate = Monkey/Ape
Firestarter = His famous avatar and on the back, his photo (the sepia one with the crossword)
Mesh = ??

TheNewHero = TNH written in silver, metallic, X-men like letters
Teddybear22 = Rain of teddy bears with 22 written in cursive in the middle
Big_Cheesy_Grin = A piece of cheese grinning widely.
Master_Yoda = Obi-Wan Kenobi, what do you think?
Snoink = The pig
Bondgirl = 007 written with the 0's bearing resemblance to the symbol for 'girl' (The O with the arrow going down, I HOPE?)

Come on, help me out!

I have trouble seeing how we'd play it though. Doing it through chat would be weird, since we wouldn't have visuals of each other's cards, and doing it on a trust system would be nice but cheating could happen.

This could be hilarious -- if Galerius wrote the card descriptions. Anyone else just won't do.
