YWS Trading Cards... how would that even work?

Obviously if we are referring it to the monster ones then we would have the monster cards be different YWS users. Then like magic and stuff could be like "You just hit 300 reviews, boost your reviewing ability +2 stages"

XD

Haha so Nate, Mesh and Fire would all be legendaries?

I see a couple different kinds of cards:

Land Cards

These cards are tapped in order to play member cards, instants, or equipment cards. There are multiple numbers of these cards in a deck. Types of Forum Cards include, but are not limited to:

Poetry Land: Summons poets.

Fiction Land: Summons authors.

Storybook Land: Summons Storybook Authors.

Big Brother Land: Summons Big Brother

Lounge/Chat Land: Summons social members

SPEW Land: Summons SPEW.

Member Cards

Member cards are summoned using land cards. For instance, Nate can only be summoned if you have a certain number of Big Brother Land Cards. Other members might require multiple land cards to be summoned. Snoink, for instance, might need SPEW, Big Brother, Poetry, and Fiction land cards to be summoned.

These member cards might have special abilities which can be activated. For instance, the Big Brother member card can have a care bear stare that takes four turns (costing 4 Big Brother Land cards each turn) before it can be used.

Equipment Cards

These cards can be added to a character card to provide additional abilities. For instance, an Evi card might be 2/2 member, but when you attach a SPEW Armor card to her, she gains +2/+2, making her a 4/4 member. Multiple pieces of equipment can be added, just not of the same type.

Instants

These cards can be played at any point, providing the summoning cost is paid. A "Kick Room" card might return all member cards to the hand of the players, while a Ban card might remove a member card from the game. Others might prevent damage, like "Poem of Peace."

Yeah, plenty of possibilities here.

I can't draw, but I'm pretty good with everything else when it comes to card games. Might I help as well?

We probably don't even need faces for the member/monster cards. XD Just draw symbols that represent them or make their name fancy. Like for me, you could draw a hut with a face like it's jabbering. For Lauren, we could do a 2010 or some fun wordart or even her avatar would totally work.

The only card game I know is Yugioh! though with different types of monster cards. XD We may need to make our own rules and such so everyone's on the same page. This would be a lot of fun, haha!
I make my own policies.

I've seen a few trading card templates on DeviantArt before, just pop it into Paint/Gimp/Photoshop and fix up the stuff you want and it's done. xD

If this doesn't happen I'm going to be seriously disappointed.

And yeah, like Manny said there are a lot of templates out there. For example:
This
This
And this
The first two are actually from deviantart (but I just did a quick 'trading card template' google search). I have no idea how exactly it would be done, but I'm sure anyone with any sort of photoshop skillz could do it pretty easily.
Got YWS?

Mkay, just going over this really quickly, we would probably need...

A couple artists
2 - 4 people to work on rules/etc.
2 - 4 people to work out traps/spells/monsters/terrains/trainers/items/skills/whatever cards
And I think either anyone who wanted to be a card could come up with their own special ability/skill/whatever, unless they go overboard. In which case, 2 - 4 people to do that stuff.

I dunno...that's just off the top of my head.

Tack, you would probably be both a member card and an effect card. XD Because your name is that awesome.

Griff, that structure is awesome.

And if artists are needed, I might be able to contribute my skills. I like the idea of having some sort of symbol/motif to represent individual members. More artistic. :P
