Well hello, my new Webmates! My name is EchoSong, but you can go ahead and call me Sarah! I love to write, but I'm not very good at it, so I'm hoping I could have somewhat of a mentor teach me how to... Anyway! My favorite color is orange, and I absolutely love cats and wolves. My favorite thing to do it write and paint in the style of Van Gogh. I'm currently working on a painting of Starry Night with my art class. So! If any of you experience writers could go ahead and let me know if you're able to teach me how to write a good ol' fantasy story, call me.
I think the best way to learn how to write is to just write and don't be afraid to suck at it. But, we'll definitely help you along and encourage you. We all have something to learn about writing, so don't feel intimidated at all!
See you around the site! And, if you need any help, just feel free to bug me! I'll be happy to help you with whatever.

Bonjour Sarah, je m'appelle Zoe :] Don't worry about your writing, as long as you can put it up and someone can fix it and make it better, it'll be fine. Even I make mistakes a lot especially when it comes to grammar. If you're looking for someone who is a specialist at fantasy, then you can go ahead and ask me anything you need and I will be more than enough to help you. Just hope I have time of course. It takes freaking 3-5 hours to finish my homework >.> but rather than that, ask me or just talk to me if you like.

this is oh so true when it comes to Young Writers Society. Everyone writes differently and we all share experience.
My name's Day and it's a pleasure to meet you. As for painting there is always room for new artists to show off their work in the art and photography section. Hopefully the website doesn't seem too daunting at first? But I know it must or at least that's how I felt when I joined. Either way it ends up being second nature when it comes to finding and exploring the forum. One thing I encourage you to check out is the chat room. It may not seem like a big deal, but if you visit a few times a week people will start to "recognize" your face. This then leads to funny conversations and great friendships.
As for your desire to learn more about writing, I'm open for any basic questions, but the best advice I can give you is to read to learn. Just reading other novels/short stories on the forum increases your knowledge whether you realize it or not. If you're truly set on learning even faster you can actually try and break down a story. By this I mean see what the author did well in your opinion and how they went about achieving this feeling.
Good luck on the site,
Day

Hi, my name is Lisa and I have come to welcome you to YWS. Welcome. If you want to improve your writing than you have come to the right place. So tell us a little about yourself. Who is your favorite author? If you could be a flower what kind would you be? What is your favorite food? I love tacos. MMM, tacos.
I have posted some links to some groups that I thought you might like to join. You should check them out.
Both of these groups have to do with the fantasy genre, so you might find them especially helpful. Anyways, I am going to go swimming in my bathtub. See you around!
I am not addicted to reading, I can quit as soon as I finish one more chapter.
