The Great Road Trip (Invite Only)

Plot: It started with two friends. Best friends, to specify. Artie and Dess, the self proclaimed Dream Team. Been through everything together, seemingly joined at the hip. From the bottom of the social scale to the top and everywhere in between, they've gathered a rather interesting array of friends. But all is not well- no one's life is flawless. Sick of whatever is going on in their lives, the network of friends, and friends of friends, decide on the ultimate stress buster.

Road trip.

Setting:

All over America. (If you're not American, PM me, okay? I can help!) Modern day, and, for the most part, in a Toyota Sienna XLE. It's Dess's car. Summer vacay! First post will take place during the last day of school, in LA, California. Here's a map.

Name: December Lee, goes by Dess or Dessie.

Age (16-19): 17

Who's Taking You on Road Trip?: Well, it was her and Artie's idea.

Appearance: Wavy brown hair, streaked with blonde, that just barely reaches her shoulders. Light brown, warm eyes, tall and athletically built.

Personality: Sweet and earthy, sometimes with her head in the clouds. She's passive and doesn't have much of a temper whatsoever. She's laid back and a peacemaker, and though she isn't violent, if she punches her arm in play, it'll hurt. She's on the school's dance team, and is best at contemporary. She's contemplating auditioning for SYTYCD come next season, when she's of age. She's not go-green-or-die, but she does like helping out in the environment. Weird enough, as she's a city girl through and through. She's the artsy one of the group, creative and talented in everything but, as it is, history. Her worst subject. She plays guitar, sings, draws, and dances. In a nutshell: the sweet, artsy, laid back one.

Background: An orphan, adopted by a single young woman named Julie. Her parents were killed in a fire when Dess was still an infant. She's lived with Julie as long as she can remember and loves her a lot. She's always had an itsy-bitsy crush on Artie, but tries to convince herself it's nothing. So far, she's managed to keep it from him. They met at day care the summer before kindergarten, and have been best friends ever since. Julie works at a design company, and thus, Dess usually has designer clothes before they're released.

Likes/Dislikes: Likes soda, mangoes and pomegranates, the city, Artie, her friends, playing guitar, drawing, dancing, and Wii. (She set it up with the Sienna's backseat TV.) Doesn't like cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, arguing, heat, humidity, not having music or Starbucks, dogs that bark a lot, and vultures.

Appearance: She's tall, thin, with black hair, and she normally wears colorful shirts with a pair of jeans.

Personality: She's kind, caring, and free spirited and she knows how to have fun. She loves to party, and she loves spending time with her friends. It's very rare to see her frown, but she does every now and then. She's not all that bubbly, but more calm and serene, but fun and care free.

Background:When Selene was five, her family decided to go on a road trip and they never made it there alive. Selene's mother and father were killed when they lost control of the car and drove off a bridge. Selene's brother--who is 15 years older then her--pulled her out. She lived with him and his wife until Josh thought it was time that she had parents to raise her, so he put her up for adoption and was taken by a family soon after. She doesn't remember anything from before the wreck, or the accident itself. She visits Josh every now and then, and they talk all the time, but she's just finding out that she was adopted. It doesn't affect hr attitude much, because she loves her new family, and she loves the way she can still see her other brother. No one knows about her being adopted, but she plans on telling her friends on the trip, but she doesn't know how or when.

Likes/Dislikes: She loves her new brothers, Daniel, 12, Scott, 20, David, 16, and Tyler, 18. She loves her real brother, and she loves her new parents. She doesn't like that she can't remember what her parents like.

Name: Arthur Flynn

Appearance (no anime, if you're putting a pic): Imagine this guy...in a coloured photograph!

Personality: Arthur is usually fairly bubbly and outgoing and can be a tad flirtatious at times. He tries to be nice to everybody (though that fails at times.) He's optimistic and can't stand it when people are down. He's not a major environmentalist, but he does care and likes working on projects with Dess. He's usually a giant teddy-bear, but if you manage to tick him off bad things go down. He has a heart for music and lugs his guitar and violin around everywhere. He can be artistic, though he sticks to abstract and pencil sketches. He's the kind of person who would rather be himself than anything else and doesn't like it when people try too hard to fit in.

Background:
Arthur's lived in the same house every since he was born. His grandma moved in with his family when he was six. He has two younger sisters (Twins Maria and Jessica, 15) and an older brother who's in university. (Jacob, 20)
His mother is the one who works in his household, as a sugeon. His father is usually at home, but does quite a bit of volunteering when it's needed.
Him and Dess have been best friends ever since meeting, as previously mentioned.

Appearance (no anime, if you're putting a pic): He always dresses very proper, and his hair is always perfect. He always has to look perfect, and if he wasn't such a ladies-man some people would swear he was gay.

Personality: He is classy, and a perfectionist. He is your typical British bloke from a wealthy family. He is a real gentleman, and is sweet. He's a real charmer, and likes to flirt with the ladies. He doesn't like competition for anything, and likes to show people up on things. He is very smart, and enjoys correcting people greatly. He can be a bit of a show off at times, but also has a personal side. He is usually pretty calm unless riled up. He doesn't take the lead, and just tends to go with the flow.

Background: He was born ans raised in the countryside of England until he was 10. He lived in a small town called Winchelsea. Then his whole family moved to London. He attended a boarding school, but was always homesick. He learned french there and became fluent in it. When he was 15, they all moved to America. He met Dess, and they became quick friends. He still talks with a strong accent, and uses some of the British terms for things. He is pretty accustomed to American Ways, though. He still misses England, and his old friends their. Especially one girl named Amelia. They were best friends, and almost lovers. He left before anything could happen between them. He misses her as a friend, though. He talks to her on the phone sometimes.

Appearance: Pretty tall, at six-five. He's pretty muscular and has curly brown hair. He's really tan, pearly white, straight teeth, and bright baby blue eyes!

Personality: Chad is really a sweet guy. He loves kids, and plans to open a no-kill animal shelter after he graduates college with a planned degree in veterinarian sciences. He has had things happen in his passed that could have caused him to turn out a horrible, always depressed, scarred high-school graduate, but he never let them. He's quiet and doesn't talk a whole lot, but he's easy to make friends with, even if he looks a bit scary.

Background: Chad grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere in po'dunk Autaugaville, Alabama. He and his sister were four years apart, but did everything together. In middle school, his sister, Charice, made some bad desicions and ended up having a daughter by the time she was in eigth grade. His family was the laughing stalk of their small, spread-out town. When Chad was a freshman, his sister and neice and himself were on their way back from Knoxville, Tennessee when a semi slammed into them. Chad watched his sister died that day, and thankfully saved Charolette, or Charlie. When the two were released from the hospital, they went to Charice's funeral, and then, Charolette went home with her father, who happened to be Charice's high school girl's basketball team's assisstant coach. The man was careless, and didn't realize when Charlie had wandered out into the road, and was hit by an oncoming truck. In a two month span, Chad had lost two of the closest girls in his life. He then left Alabama, and moved to LA with his grandparents. He's been there since mid-freshman year.

Likes/Dislikes: Dislikes; abuse in any form, death, teen pregnancy, guys who think they're all badass, getting talked down to by smaller pricks who he could easily lay out, careless people, jerks, preps, all-out-theres, emos, goths, and rap music. Like; girls, visiting his hometown so he can see his sister and neice's graves, highschool, animals, horseback riding, the mountains, the south, sweat tea, country music, and corndogs, surfing and karate(:

Other: She always carries these pictures in his wallet, and he always has the two braided bracelets his sister and Charlie made him on his wrists. The first bracelet is the one his sister gave him. It has the words 'Little Brother' engraved on the front. Charice was burried with her own bracelet that Chad made her 'Big Sister' engraved on the front and 'Chad and Charice Laurence, brother and sister through the end' on the back. The second bracelet was made by Charlie.

Personality: Sweet, quiet and antisocial. She's very outdoorsy and loves art, music and reading. Kiara would much rather be in a tree with a book or out running that in a crowd at a concert. She likes inspiration and could talk forever about music and how, when painting, it's important to capture it's "essence" in the art. She has strange taste in music. Some of her songs are sweet and inspirational, some aré electrónica. Kiara thinks electrónica sounds magia in many cases.
