Sorry guys, that's the best title I could come up with.

Okay, this is mostly me trying to get further inspiration for a novel I'm working on. The main plot is that six kids get sucked into the story book world when they fall asleep in the kids section of the library - or somewhere around a bunch of kids books - and are now on a quest to find home. I already have an outline of what needs to be encountered throughout their adventure to get back home.

1.Cinderella -Cinderella-
2.Snow White -Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs-
3.Rapunzel -Rapunzel-
4.Tiana -The Princess and the Frog-
5.Ariel -The Little Mermaid-
...and whatever else they may encounter on the way.

What You're Searching For:
You are looking for the magical portal back to the human world which is located on The Last Page.

Appearances:
Since you will be trapped in a story book, I will prefer your characters to be cartoon-related or in Anime form. You can have a human picture if you'd like, but I just assume it would be easier to picture everyone inside a storybook if they actually looked like drawings.

Ages:
You can be any age you want. If you want to be a teenager that's fine, if you want to be a kid, that's fine too. I would like the age limit, though, to be eighteen. But, if everyone else in the storybook is around the age of thirteen, I don't want some seventeen year old in the picture. That would just make tings awkward.

"No more," I said sternly. "I'm tired of dressing up and it's time for bed."
"B-but, brother," she started, her eyes filling up with those false tears I knew all too well.
"No, don't give me that, Rissa," I said, standing up and brushing dirt off of my jeans. "Now, go get in bed." She sighed and stood up, taking off the plastic fairy wings taped to her back. Sluggishly, she walked over to her canopy bed and sat down. I nodded in approval and started for the door.
"No, stay in here with me, please," she begged. I turned around and looked at her with slightly droopy eyes, myself being tired also.
"Sure, kid," I said with a tired smile. After turning off the lights and turning on her lullaby radio, I settled on the floor beside her bed. I was asleep before my head even hit the soft carpet floor.
- - -
I rubbed my eyes and groaned, the sudden intensity of light being too much for my poor sleepy eyes to handle. In fact, it was way too bright to be in Rissa's room anyway. I stood up abruptly and took in my surrounding. All these animates people were walking around me, people I've never seen before, all dressed in old clothes like the ones you only see in...
"Holy crap." I ran around and looked at everything. I've seen these same houses so many times in that one book my sister made me read. Cinderella. Oh no...
I found a mirror on a bakery shop's glass and almost lost it. I looked...I looked...animated. "Ahhhhhh!" What else to do in this situation but scream? Nothing.

oOoOoOoOoOoOo

Crokk

"Please, Nurse Jenny," I started, backing away from the slightly plump nurse. "I'm fine, I have my pills right here, see?" I reached inside my coat pocket and pulled out a small orange bottle.
"But, Crokk," she said, still worried. I sighed and walked up to my Nurse and grabbed her chin with my long fingers. I stared at her with my usual droopy and clouded eyes.
"Nurse Jenny," I said softly, "I am fine. I will be in the library if you need me for anything, but your constant fretting is making me grow weary." I stared at her for a few more moments before stepping back and shoving my hands into my pockets.
"Okay, Crokky," she said lowly. "I will come and get you when Dinner is ready." She bowed slightly before turning and walking away. With a grateful sigh, I turned and finished my journey back to the library.
- - -
I settled myself in the children's section and pulled out one of my favorites, The Little Mermaid. While deep in the underwater world, I drifted off.
- - -
I grunted and rubbed my eyes with the back of my hand, startled by the sudden brightness. It couldn't be tomorrow already, it was still dark out when I went in the library.
"Ahhhhh!" I jumped up at the unexpected noise, startled to attention. "I'm a freaking cartoon!" I looked around frantically, taking in the scenery. Just by what I saw, I almost died. Everyone, everything, looked like some type of cartoon. The ground looked drawn and everyone looked...artificial.
"What the..." I looked down at my pale arms and choked on air. My skin looked like porcelain. I know I was pale but, come on.
"What is this?!" I looked around for the noise that kept repeating itself, only stopping when my eyes fell upon a guy that looked just as confused as I did. He was starring into a bakery shop's window and had a kitty ear and tail. I wonder what that was all about. Slowly, I walked over to him and tapped him on the shoulder.
"Excuse me," I said softly. He whipped around and stared at me, his eyes widening a bit before returning to normal. I knew he could see the confusion in my stare also. "Do you know what's happening," I asked. He opened his mouth to reply but was interrupted by yet another scream of terror.

Natalie and Kelsey Greene

"Natalie, will you read me a story?" Kelsey begged.

Natalie groaned. "Kelsey, it's time to go home. Mom told us to be back at 3:30, and it 3:15 now."

"Please, just a quick story?" The little girl's wide, doe like brown eyes stared up at Natalie.

She sighed. "Oh alright, alright... Which story?"

She settled down into a comfortable position in her chair, holding a book out to her. "Will you read me this one?"

Natalie took it and groaned again. "Hansel and Gretel? Again?"

"Pleaaassseee?" the little girl begged, putting on her best puppy dog eyes and wobbly lip.

She sighed. "Okay, okay..." She opened the book and began to read, Kelsey listening with rapture.

That particular version of Hansel and Gretel was very long. Eventually Kelsey began to nod off. Then her head connected with the wooden table, and she began to snore quietly. Natalie put the book down and smiled slightly, stroking her sister's hair. She settled down to wait for her to wake up.

Soon she'd fallen asleep as well.

----------

When Kelsey woke up it was very bright. Brighter than the library. She blinked a few times and sat up, looking around. Then she let out a loud squeal of delight that sounded almost like a scream. "Natalie, look at where we are!"

Her sister groaned, and the girl's gaze moved to her. She gasped, then giggled. "Natalie, you're a picture!"

Natalie's eyes fluttered open, and she sat up. "What do you mean I'm a-" she stopped, staring.

Then she screamed.
Just another quack spouting psychobabble.

"...Your report card came in the mail, genius!" Gabe snarled sarcastically. His poker buddies let out small laughs, digging their chubby fingers into a bowl of french onion dip. Mum stood behind Gabe, smiling comfortingly at me. "All D-, this kid of your Lois is going to be a first grade toilet cleaner!"

"At least that's better then moving rubbish!" I snapped back, throwing my bag violently on the floor. Gabe's poker buddies looked up from their cards and shared conspicuous glances.

"He didn't mean that, Gabe darling." Mum placed her hand on Gabe's shoulder trying to calm the man down. I did mean it though, and I wasn't going to back down to the likes of him.

"No, I did." Mum shot a glance to quieten down - but I wasn't going to!

"So little brat thinks he's a man?" Gabe chided, his eyes shaking with anger.

"I don't know, do you?"

Gabe walked up toward me, lifting his head to look up at me. Gabe was a short one and it was easy to tower over him, though it was not easy to intimidate me. Without notice, his hand snapped around and he forced me back into the wall. I crashed like a limp doll, sliding down to the floor. My hair fell into my face and I snarled.

"Stupid kid!" Gabe spat, walking slowly back to his chair. Mum ran over to me, placing her elegant arms around my neck.

"Are you okay, sweets?"

"I'm fine, Mum."

"Lois," Gabe clicked his fingers, summoning mother to him. I grounded my back teeth together; I was sick of him. He reeked of beer and smoke and his language was Fowler than a troopers. Sliding to my feet, I grabbed at a book. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. I had loved Snow White when a younger child. She reminded me so strongly of my mother that I couldn't help but feel attached to Snow White.

Walking towards Gabe as he and his friends laughed at some stupid joke he made, I raised the book above his head planing to smash it against his thick skull.

"Magic Mirror, on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?" Looking around, an evil voice sounded in my ears. Like it was distant though very near. "Take her far into the forest. Find some secluded glade where she can pick wildflowers."
Was that the Evil Queen? I spun around, as if expecting the woman to jump out from behind the TV.

I staggered back; "Now, quick, child, run! Run away, hide! In the woods! Anywhere! Never come back! Now go! Go! Run! Run! Hide! " Huntsman? The room began to spin. Stumbling from left to right, Gabe and his poker buddies began to disappear and the image of Snow White singing froze in front of me.

Blinking, she imaged. I began to fall, shrieking loudly, the darkness underneath me engulfed my body.
I spy!

Claire

Nearly all research to date has taken place using mouse embryonic stem cells (mES) or human embryonic stem cells (hES). Both have the essential stem cell characteristics, yet they require very different environments in order to maintain an undifferentiated state.

Claire coughed quietly, engrossed in her book. She glanced up briefly to look at Tommy. He was hugging his knees to his chest, enraptured by the book reading. Claire smiled, then turned back to her book.

Mouse ES cells are grown on a layer of gelatin and require the presence of Leukemia Inhibitory Factor (LIF). Human ES cells are grown on a feeder layer of mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs) and require the presence of basic Fibroblast Growth Factor (bFGF or FGF-2).

Claire blinked slowly. The summer was taking its toll on her. She hadn't been to bed very early last night. What Claire wouldn't do for a tiny little nap...

Without optimal culture conditions or genetic manipulation, embryonic stem cells will rapidly differentiate.

The page swam before Claire's eyes. Her head bent down to rest softly on the book's crisp pages. Claire didn't realize what was happening until it was too late. She shut her eyes - just for a moment - and she was asleep.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

"Bread! Fresh bread!" yelled a voice. "Baked this morning! Reasonable prices! Get your bread here!"

Claire groaned. "Keep your voice down," she mumbled. Honestly, people these days had no respect. They were in a library, for goodness sake! Why did it sound like a colonial marketplace?

... And why was the man selling bread in a library, anyway? Claire wondered. She opened her eyes to tell the man off.

Claire froze. She was not in the library. She was sitting under a tree. In a marketplace. With a man selling bread across the street. But - No. The tree was too solid. Claire couldn't even begin to see individual leaves. Everything was to solid, too defined. Everything looked - drawn.

"I'm dreaming," said Claire faintly, standing up. She began to walk down the street, looking wildly at her surroundings. "I'm dreaming," she repeated. "I've fallen asleep, and Tommy's stories have gotten to my head. I'll wake up soon."

Claire froze at the sight of a boy her age, but with cat ears and a tail. "No," she said quickly. "That is too much. This is getting ridiculous." Claire closed her eyes, counting to ten. At ten, Claire would wake up and be back in the library, where she belonged. One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine. Ten.

Claire opened her eyes. Cat-boy was still there. Claire screamed.
"The grasshopper!... Mind the grasshopper!... A grasshopper not only turns, it hops!... It hops!... And it hops jolly high!" ~Erik, The Phantom of the Opera

I turned to the person that tapped on my shoulder and my eyes grew wide in surprise before I noticed that she looked just as confused as I was. She had long blond hair and her eyes were strange, one grey and one blue. She really was beautiful, if not a bit pale and sickly looking.
"Excuse me." Wait. That so wasn't a 'she' voice. "Do you know what's happening?" Oh, so it was a he. Weird. I just called him... Oh my. I opened my mouth to reply but was cut off by a stream of screams. We both looked towards the direction it came from and saw two girls in the forest off to the side. I looked at the boy before running off towards them.

"Do you know what's happening," I asked them when we'd finally come in hearing range. The oldest shook her head and the youngest seemed as if she was in Wonderland. The oldest was about to speak before we heard two more screams. I turned around and saw a girl with big glasses and a boy with night blue hair. Maybe they were lost too. I looked at the others before running off towards the other two.

- - -

Crokk~

We'd caught up to the other two that seemed confused and had gathered under a big tree.
"I suppose we should get introductions over with," I suggest lightly, all the murmurs of confusion stopped briefly so they could hear me. I looked up at everyone and blushed when I laid eyes on a girl with long red hair. Quickly, I looked back down and fiddled with the strings on my jacket. "My name's Crokk," I said lowly.
"Ryan," said the boy with the curly blond hair.
"I'm Natalie," said the red headed girl, " and this is my sister Kelsey."
"Claire," the girl with the glasses announced.
"And I'm Calicifer," said the boy with blue hair. I nodded and looked up again, adding more color to my cheeks when I saw Natalie looking at me. Clearing my throat, I ran shaking fingers through my hair and sighed.
"Can someone please explain how we got here. I just fell asleep in my library and, when I woke up, I was here." Everyone went on to tell the different ways they got here. I nodded as they explained and laid back on my palms, starring up at the artificial trees and sky, which actually looked pretty good.
"Why are you wearing kitty ears and a tail," Kelsey asked, tugging on Ryan's appendages. He blushed and leaned back a bit.
"I was playing dress up with my sister before I ended up here and I guess they just got stuck when I, uh, passed over." I smiled slightly at his explanation and let my eyes fall upon everyone else.
"That's lovely," Claire said, "but how do we get back home?"

*I'm going to need someone to bring in the witch/hobo that tells us that we need to get to The Last Page to get home.*

Sabine Rhainhart

It all started when I finished reading my favourite fairytale, The Princess And The Frog. The words "and they lived happily ever after" echoed in my head, luring me to dreamland. It's strange that people don't have happily ever afters in real life! I thought drowsily to myself and promptly fell asleep, curled up against the cold wooden floor.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________

"Get your fresh bread here!" I rubbed my eyes irritably, and was about to tell the source of the voice that this was a library, not a vilage when I discover that I was actually in a village. I stood up and brushed some dirt off of my light blue peasant dress --- thank God I still had my felt purse! --- and wandered around.

Everything seemed to be drawn out on paper, even the bright blue sky! Could it be that I have entered the world of Princess Tiana? I thought to myself, a grin slightly gracing my face. I jumped for joy and pranced around in my dress, causing the villagers to look at me oddly, whispering amongst themselves that the queer girl with the pink curls was a bit... odd.

I beamed at all of them before I tripped on a rock and fell flat on my face. A voice came above me, and said, "I can see that you need my help, young miss!" A leathery hand helped me up, and to my utter surprise I saw Mr Rhainhart in front of me smiling!

"Uncle Rhainhart! Why are you here?" I jumped on him and hugged him tightly. He patted my back like how he always used to do when I was still little. "Young Sabine, I am not your Uncle Rhainhart, whoever that is." he said kindly, and ran a weathered hand through his graying locks of hair. Seeing my crestfallen face, he gently slung an arm over my droopped shoulders and guided me towards a big tree where all sorts of people were talking. "I don't understand," I said to the old man who leaned on his walking stick, "Why am I here?"

The old man smiled at me, and gave me a little red box. "You should know, little one. The Book doesn't just take anyone here. You are here for a purpose."

I tilted my head and stuck the red plastic box into my purse. "What purpose, Uncle --- I mean, sir?" He really does look like him, I thought sadly.

He looked straight ahead and started walking briskly. "That is for you to discover, Sabine." I hurried after him, picking up the fold of my dress and stumbling.

We arrived at the big tree. "They're normal mortals, just like you," the old man muttered under his breath. The people all looked like they were around my age, except for a little orange hair girl who clung to a purple teddy bear. They were all introducing themselves, and a girl named Claire was just asking how were we going to go home, when the old man interrupted them.

"Why children, you will have to get to the Last Page to get back home!" He grinned at all of us. The eight of them stared at the both of us, and it immediately got awkward. So I I piped up, "Didn't you guys know? We're in a fairytale now!" The gorgeous boy with the kitty ears and fluffy tail looked at me and I immediately looked down at my feet, blushing at the blue patent leather shoes, pulling at the folds of my dress. "I'm Sabine," I said shyly and looked up through my pink fringe. The red haired girl grinned at me. "I'm Natalie, and this is my sister Kelsey." Kelsey looked up from her purple teddy bear and smiled. "I like your dress," she said and I grinned at her. "I like your dress too, Kelsey!"

The cat boy (why am I even blushing at the very mention of him?) looked at me with his stunning (what are you doing to yourself, Sabine?), no, beautiful green eyes and his face lit up in a grin. "I'm Ryan." I practically had to use all of my wits to stop myself from swooning over him. He's just a guy with ears like a cat and a wonderful fluffy tail, Sabine! i scolded myself. Nothing more!

Another boy with blue hair that was as dark as the midnight sky said briefly, "Calcifer." I nodded and looked at the weird female boy --- was he a boy or a girl? --- that had different eye colours. "I'm Crokk." he said in that low voice of his. The girl with the big glasses said, "I'm Claire, and --- Hey! Where did that old man go?"

Startled, I turned around but the old man had disappeared into thin air, only leaving a piece of yellowed and faded paper behind. Crokk picked up the piece of paper and we crowded around him to see what was written on it.

Jessie

It was a usual Saturday night, I like to spend my time in the library, just reading. My mum ideally wants me back by seven, but if the library closes at nine, why should I waste those two glorious hours?
I was sitting in my favourite spot, right by the classics on a super, comfortable bean bag seat. Nobody could see me. I was so engrossed in reading my book, " Rapunzel", I didn't realise the time. The librarian had gone, the lights were switched off. I wasn't scared, and I slowly drifted off into sleep.
- - -

I woke up, hoping for it to be morning, so I could get the heck out of the library. I got up and looked around, everything was cartoon. How could that be? I was probably dreaming, just to make sure I pinched myself; as I looked at my arm I realised that I was a walking talking animation.
There was a castle in the distance, I was someone selling bread right next to me.
"Are you ok?" He asked, I was to scared to reply. I ran to a group of people who looked sort of like they'd been humans once. They were all crowded around in a huddle.
"Ex-ex-excuse me, do you know where I am?" I asked them. They all turned around. A boy who had cat ears and a cat tail spoke up.
"None of us really know, we're trying to figure it out."
I nodded slowly, lost my balance and fell to the floor. The next thing I remembered was the same group of people trying to pick me up. Oh, what a great time to faint.
Someone told me there's a girl out there, with love in her eyes and flowers, in her hair.

But what about second breakfast?
