Coming out of the closet

Hey all,
Was recommended that I should introduce myself and after weeks of lurking have finally decided to do so. So err, yo.
A bit about me: 17, almost 18, likes video games, anime the typical stuff. Writing has been something I have dabbled with on occasion but very much half-heartedly, until now. I have made the necessary preparations. Pens, paper, a desk fan and 2 months of nothing but dreaming. Oh, and cup of hot chocolate with some digestives.
I'm pretty new to all this writing business evident in my current portfolio but hopefully with dedication, criticism and some good ideas. I'll get better.

I found that once I joined YWS, I started writing waaaaaay more. Hopefully it'll be the same for you? Hehe. What genres do you generally write in? Do you have a least favorite genre?

Unfortunately I can't draw and would be willing to exchange a toe for such a gift if anyone's offering. No particularly favourite genre to write in either, I've written so little, even the stuff I have written I'm not sure what genre it fits into. If I had to say I'd go with Realism Fantasy, or something along those lines.
The Hot Chocolate has betrayed me, do not trust it.

Welcome to YWS! So, you like the Video Games? That's really cool--I do too! What kind of games do you play! I'm into a lot of the Mario games--Mario Kart and Super Mario Galaxy are my favorite--but I also love World of Warcraft and all of the fable games. Fantasy? Awesome--I like it a lot as you might be able to tell from my latter two game choices. Do you have any specific writing projects you're working on now? When i first wrote i wasn't very good but i worked diligently at it and now i write very well now. What do you like to write? I am a more poetry person. I can't wait to read some of you're writing.
