((Well, we're heading to rebel base camp. Ren has proposed that the rebels plan to overthrow King Gryk, kill him, and instate Enyalius as the new king, though she's yet to confirm that with the rest of her group, who we're now going to meet. Sera and Cassie have turned up too, having found Enyalius and Ren, so they're coming with. Cassie's standing next to Ren right now, walking into the forest, as of my last post and as far as my understanding goes.))
Okay, thanks. I always do that. Mess up, I mean. Oh well.
Cassie
We walked into the forest. I wanted badly to run away. This was all so frightening. All of a sudden, a voice rang in my head.
"Cassie! It's time for dinner."
This wasn't a good time, but I knew I would have to leave. My mother always did have bad timing. Now was the worst possible time, with everything that was going on. My fantasy world needed me, but I had no choice. I knew I couldn't explain to them, so I'd just have to try to sneak away. That wasn't going to be easy.
I watched them all, waiting for a good time to run.
"Cassie!" I heard in my head. I need to hurry. Even if this was a bad time. I would come back after dinner. Without a second thought, I started running, not looking back. I wasn't exactly sure where I was going, but soon enough, I came to my club-house. I sat down and closed my eyes...
I opened my eyes and I was back home. I ran out of the woods at to my house, where my mother was waiting. I would have to eat fast. My mother wouldn't want me to go back at night, but I knew I had to.
((Cassie is the only one that can really save them, since it is her fantasy world.))
I am a fox, sly and quick. I never give up I never quit
It took a few hours, but before long we were at the bar. Actually, it was a small tavern at the edge of the woods, but it was what was under the tavern that mattered. I walked into the bar, and the bartender lead me downstairs.
In the basement of the tavern was a door, a door that lead to a tunnel which, in turn, lead to a clearing in the woods. It was almost impossible to find just hacking through the woods, and encircled by a deep and wide river. It was about as safe as it got for a party like ours.
I let the others go first into the tunnel. With torch in hand, I lead the way. Finally, we came to a ladder that lead to a trap door. Up the trap door, and through a nearly empty tent, and we were standing in the clearing.
"Welcome to base camp," I said. People rushed up to me. They all brought either news, or wanted a favor of me. There was what seemed a sea of bowing people around me, all trying to talk at once. I held up my hand and they silenced.
"Before I say anything else, where do we stand?" I looked at Gris, who kept records.
"As of last Tuesday," he wheezed, "five hundred men, and one hundred women. Of those numbers, we have around two hundred informants, one hundred spies, fifty officials, and the rest serve multiple purposes. And," he looked coyly at the prince, "twenty-two assassins."
Love is beautiful, but what would love be without life?
"My father's reputation goes before me, I see," Enyalius muttered to Ren in between the seas of people seeking an audience with their leader. "Tell me, how are you going to convince a group of people who so hate me to make me king?"
Ren smiled grimly and turned to him. "Have you warmed to the idea, then?"
"I don't see that I have that much of a choice," Enyalius admitted. "Besides, I could use a cause. It will be a fitting legend to go down in the history books, won't it? How we won against a king and his armies?"
Sera snorted behind him. "You seem to be convinced that we've already won. Now, where did the little girl wander off to?"
Ren stopped shortly. "I thought she was with you."
"She was with you, Ren," Sera said, fire sputtering in her hands. "I haven't seen her since we reached the tavern."
"Then she's gone," put in Enyalius. "There's nothing we can do. Don't think about it. Move on. Smile. Ren, you can't lose your composure for a second in this position. It's precarious enough as it is."
"Don't give me advice," Ren snapped, but she smiled openly at the passing people as she did so. "You're the one in the precarious position. Where will you go, if you're turned away? I've sent word around that a meeting is to begin in the next ten minutes. What will you do if it goes wrong?"
"It won't go wrong," Enyalius stated. His voice was monotonous; his emotions were unreadable. Ren sighed and looked away, marching towards the centre of the camp.
Hey, guys, Cassie was supposed to be with Nightfall...
Singing: It's more than my forte; it's my fortissimo --- They say "Guns don't kill people. People kill people." Well, I think guns help. If you just stand there and yell BANG I don't think you're going to kill too many people...
((It's kinda gone all over the place because we weren't really sure... If Fox posts again with Cassie turning up with Nightfall, she could then lead them both to the rebel camp. An idea?))
No, it's okay, I can work around it, so that we don't have to change a whole bunch of posts, and bring in the new character. I'll send Nightfall to the castle to check out conditions around there, bring along the new character, meet up with Cassie as she's coming back, and she can lead us to the camp. Okay?
Singing: It's more than my forte; it's my fortissimo --- They say "Guns don't kill people. People kill people." Well, I think guns help. If you just stand there and yell BANG I don't think you're going to kill too many people...
I'm going to take us back in time a little so we can straighten this out This is going to be really long, just a head's up!
Nightfall
I could feel the girl's hands trembling even as she clutched to my arm. The more I thought about it, the more I was wondering what had come over me. How could I possibly think I would be able to take care of a child? I had bitten off more than I could chew at the moment, and I needed to check out the conditions around the castle.
I led the girl around the village for a couple more minutes before I found someone who looked like they could help. I approached the red-haired girl cautiously.
"Know anything about children?" I asked her.
"No," she replied, staring at me oddly. Apparently, she didn't come across hybrids very often.
"Well, more than what I know," I said, and nudged the small girl toward her. "Take her, and don't let her go off on her own."
The woman narrowed her eyes as the girl took her hand. "You've got a lot of nerve, giving me orders."
My black lips parted and I growled. "Don't start with me right now." I looked down at the girl. "And you," I said to her, trying to sound gentle, "stay out of trouble." My efforts were futile, which I realized when she nodded fearfully, as though I had threatened her.
I rolled my eyes, morphed into a cheetah, and took off back through the trees. The castle was nearly on the other side of the forest, but at this speed, it wouldn't take long to reach it.
As I approached the towering white structure, I slowed my speed and changed into a domestic cat. I would be a little less conspicuous this way. I rounded the castle, scanning the terrain and checking the amount of security. There was more than I had expected. When I reached the entrance again, I trotted inside, intermingled with a group of guards. I parted from the group when I had made it in.
I ran along the halls of every floor, sticking as closely to the shadows as possible. Every hallway was flooded with guards, and every guard was armed to the skin in the finest armor and weaponry. It had finally occurred to me that maybe this would be a lot harder than I had originally thought.
When I had hit every floor, I found a room that, miraculously, had no guards, and I morphed into a tiger and took off toward the exit. Unfortunately, it occurred to me too late that I would be passing hundreds of guards on the way down, and every one I passed chased me. I was actually very amused that they thought they could catch me, but the joke's humor suddenly dissolved when I came to a dead end. I was tackled to the ground and put in chains. Fighting back was useless, so I allowed them to drag me to the dungeon. I'd be able to get out easily once I was there anyway.
Two guards threw me roughly into a cell and I roared with pain and anger when I hit the floor. They chained me to a wall and locked the cell. I lied down and waited for them to leave. They stood there and talked for a little while once they were sure I wouldn't be getting out.
"Are you sure we should leave it here, unguarded?" One guard asked. I growled when the word 'it' crossed my ears.
The other shrugged. "Fetch the child. It likes animals, doesn't it?"
The first nodded and disappeared. He returned a couple seconds later, dragging a small girl by the arm. "Stay here and watch it." I growled again. "We'll be back for it once we talk to the king."
I stood up and roared savagely when he called me an 'it' again. Seriously, is it that hard to say 'she'? The guards laughed wickedly. The girl flinched back, but she nodded. I could see her trembling. I lied back down irritably as the guards left. My eyes fell on the girl after awhile. Her bright blue eyes watched me with terror under matted, messy black hair.
"Got a name, kid?" I asked her.
Her eyes widened. "You're a - a mythical creature!"
I nodded. "Yeah, don't change the subject."
"Oh," she said quietly. "Elizabeth," she answered.
"Nightfall," I told her, and she nodded slowly.
I morphed into a domestic cat once more. My now tiny paws came easily out of the cuffs and I walked slowly to the bars of the cell. My nimble little body slipped through the narrow steel bars and I sat down in front of Elizabeth.
"You're a slave, aren't you?" I asked her. She nodded. I exhaled deeply, surprised and angered by the offer I was about to make. "You can't possibly be happy here." She shrugged.
"I don't have a choice. I have to do what they tell me."
"Well, you don't have to, you're just afraid of them."
"No, you don't understand," she said, shaking her head. Confidence was coming into her tone. "I have to. I'm under a spell."
My eyes widened for a second and I raised an eyebrow. "Ah. Well," I began, and exhaled again, "I'm about to escape. Would you like to come with me?" She looked at me in surprise. "I mean, I understand if you don't... Actually, no, I don't understand. But you're more than welcome to come with me."
"They'll catch you again," she said, suddenly timid again. "And when they catch me, they'll be mad...more than mad."
"Heh," I laughed sarcastically. I morphed back into my hybrid form and grabbed a belt that hung on the wall beside us. "Not if you hold on tight, and instruct me to the exit." I dropped the belt at her feet and changed into a cheetah. She looked at the belt and I flashed her a daring smile. "Well?"
Elizabeth hesitated, but nodded. She fastened the belt around my neck and got onto my back. I walked up to the dungeon door, she opened it, and I charged out. Guards chased us again, but I was much too fast for them this time. I laughed with wicked delight as we dodged guard after guard. Elizabeth gave me every instruction and we made it to the gates of the castle and safely into the forest. Behind me, I could hear people bustling about the castle, informing everyone of the two escapees.
As I ran, I eventually forgot about my passenger, and just made it a point to return to the village. On the way there, however, we ran into a familiar face. The little girl I had left behind in the town crossed our path. I skidded to a stop and my face flooded with surprise.
"What are you doing here?" I asked her. I felt Elizabeth hop off and I morphed back into a hybrid.
"My mother was calling me," she answered quietly.
I growled and sat down as I removed the belt from my neck. "I should have guessed that leaving you with a stranger wouldn't be smart."
The girl looked at me. "She went with two other people to some kind of camp."
I looked up at her. "Where?"
"A little ways from here. I can take you there."
"Perfect," I said. Then, remembering something, I continued. "I'm Nightfall, by the way."
"Cassie," she responded.

Wow, this is longer than I even expected it to be xD 6954 characters Sorry about that! But I hope this clears things up.

I watched as the girl morphed into a cheetah and ran off towards the castle. I couldn't believe she left me...with some...stranger! Then again, she had been a stranger to me not too long ago. I looked up at the woman. She didn't looked too happy to by stuck with me.
"Cassie! It's time for dinner." My mother's voice called.

She just didn't want to have to explain that she let me get away to that girl. That was her problem, though. I had other, bigger, problems to worry about.
I wasn't exactly sure where I was going, but soon enough, I came to my club-house. I sat down and closed my eyes...

"Don't give me advice, you're the one in the precarious position. Where will you go, if you're turned away? I've sent word around that a meeting is to begin in the next ten minutes. What will you do if it goes wrong?"
"It won't go wrong," he insisted. I began to walk towards the center of camp, but then turned around.
"You're a mess, you know that?" I looked him over, then turned to Sera, "Go find Maero. He should have an extra pair of clothes, heaven knows he's rich enough. They look about the same size. Tell Maero it's on my orders, otherwise he'll think you're joking." Sera shrugged, and went with Enyalius towards Maero's tent.
I went back to my own tent, one of the largest in the camp. I had to make myself look presentable, even if I had been hiking through the woods. I pulled on a floor length dark green dress. Around the dress was a matching sash, and I attached my knife to it. Then I pulled my hair into a bun, and put on a pair of heels. They were as much of a weapon as the knife.
I emerged from my tent, and looked around. The meeting tent, put right in the center, towered over the others. Still only big enough to hold about fifty people, I had decided to bring only the officials. They were free to spread the word to the people in their district. I was also bringing a few of my top spies, as they had a right to know.
Sera
I grabbed his high-high-highness's arm, and half-dragged him towards the tent.
"She's wasting her time on scum like you," I said, "why she even bothers, ugh! She should have killed you at first sight, but no! She's clothing you, and giving you the respect of an official, and...." his highness let me rant, all he did was keep a bemused smile on his face.
I focused my red eyes on him, and then shook my head. "Entirely worthless," I mumbled under my breath.
I gestured to the tent in front of me, "This is Maero's tent. If your the 'future king' Captain thinks you are, you can figure out what to do." I stormed off, and watched as he calmly walked into the tent. I took a seat, and wanted to watch what happened.
Usually Maero had a bad temper, and I had a feeling this had been a test from Captain for his high-high-highness. But I heard no screaming, and about ten minutes later he came out fully clothed, and looking quite good actually. Not that I would ever tell him that.
"You look like an idiot, let's go," I say, and began to walk towards the meeting tent.

Personality: He's clever, a talented liar, and sly. He doesn't give people a straight answer, and is very talented at twisting peoples words around. He takes things literally, and tends to be serious. He is very protective of the people he cares about, and tends to be a bit dramatic in the face of danger. He likes playing the hero, and has at least two weapons on him at all times. He can be a bit cocky. He is one of the highest knights in the castle, and well respected. He gets a bit flirty at times with Ren.
*Will someone please bring me in?* Name: Wren Rose Gender: F Kind of Creature: (fairy, unicorn, ect.) Dark Fairy Personality: Kind, caring, understanding, is cold until she warms up to someone, then she is kind caring and understanding unless you tick her off. She is rebellious. Because of the fact that she is a Dark Fairy people wrongly think she is evil.
Smoothing down his borrowed clothes, Enyalius walked behind Sera, feeling suddenly vulnerable without his hooded cloak. However, if he was going to make an impression at this meeting, he understood that Ren would expect him to show her people the same level of trust she had shown him in bringing him here. Enyalius knew the risk she had taken in doing so, and found that he respected her for it.
Sera brushed aside the tent's flapping opening and strode in; Enyalius attempted to match her confidence, but he disguised doubt. If any of these rebels hated him only half as much as Ren and Sera had first seemed to, the meeting wouldn't go smoothly. One man in particular, with immaculate blond hair and a knight's uniform, was already glowering at him. Enyalius' eyes swept across the room, and then they found Ren.
Had he called her pretty before? She was stunning. Her dress was as green as the forest itself and shimmered when she moved, and her hair fell in curtains down her back. Yet she looked more awkward than she had done in the forest, with mud on her clothes and twigs clawing at her arms, and it struck Enyalius that she was perhaps not as confident as he had thought.
He only realised he was staring when Sera scowled at him, and so he looked away.
"Friends," Ren began, immediately blanketing the room in silence, "I have brought you here to examine the details of a newly formed plan to overthrow King Gryk. Before I begin, I must introduce an addition to our ranks."
Enyalius took this as his cue and stepped forward. There were several men in the room who had been busy preparing the meeting tent and hadn't seen him arrive, so there were gasps in abundance. The knight with the blond hair gasped as theatrically and loudly as possible, but Enyalius forced himself not to make eye contact. Instead, he locked eyes with Ren, and stood stock still, as the crowd raged around him.
I finally made it out of the house, against my mother's lickings, after dinner. I rushed into the woods and to my play house. When I got there, I sat down immediately and closed my eyes.
When my eyes opened, I was back in my fantasy world. Something seemed different about it, though. Knowing that it was all falling apart, and that it was in my hands, a 7 year old girl, made it seem less...magical. I shook that feeling off and started running. I didn't know where to go, but I knew just to keep going. There was something inside me that told me where to go, and I hoped it wouldn't lead me the wrong way. I should really make a map for this place.
After a while, I stopped to take a breath. I thought I heard footsteps behind me, so I turned around instinctively. When I turned back around, two palace guards were standing there. Great, not thing again. I sighed and rolled my eyes, but I knew there was nobody here to save me this time.
The guard grinned evilly as he grabbed hold of my arm. I looked around for a way out of this one, but I didn't think there was. With two guards escorting me to the castle, I didn't think there was a chance of getting out of this. The only good thing was that I didn't know much. I knew about the king's plan, but that was it. Sera had gone somewhere, and I figured it was to make a plan, but I didn't know where. They weren't going to get anything out of me. Who knows, I might escape before we reach the castle anyway. There was a very slim chance of that, but this was my world, and I had to save it. Anything could happen.
We reached the castle and the bridge dropped. Okay, so I wasn't going to get out of it before reaching the castle. That was out of the picture, but I could still get away...at least, I hoped. I stayed in the middle of the bridge. I didn't know how to swim yet, so I didn't want to fall into the water. We reached the castle doors, and the bridge slowly came up again as we entered through them.
