Sorry if its short

Gryk

It has been some time since I had relaxed myself from my experiment. Finally, after a long time, I was able to successfully complete a trial. To think that I'll die soon. They'l soon see what my experiments can do.
I had walked back to the hall glimpsing through the various windows. The air felt a little heavy. I can taste it with my lips. This was a little funny. I swear that I took care of the remaining squatters along with the hiding peasants around the kingdom.
I may order another wide investigation but then again, I could wait. It would be better if they would show up and kill them at that time. It is much more fun.
I nodded to myself as I walk to my room.
John McClane: Drop it. It's the police.
Tony: You won't hurt me.
John McClane: Oh, yeah? Why not?
Tony: Because you're a policeman. There are rules for policemen.
John McClane: Yeah. That's what my captain keeps telling me

Wren
I smiled mischievously at the tiger crouched in front of Elizabeth. "Calm yourself Nightfall I mean no harm." I said raising my hands from my sword and landing on my feet. "What do you mean then?" She growled. "I wish to help you." I said quietly my hands still at level the of my chest. "What do you mean?" She repeated. "If you wish to help Cassie I will help you but we need to get out of here the guards are coming this way." I urged quietly. I knew she was wondering how I knew her name but she didn't ask. "I am Wren Rose. Call me Siren or Rose I answer to either." I added quietly.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."

"But you have heard of me."

**Oh, dear. Something is very wrong with my notifications. I am going to try to pull Kylun into this.

Sir Kylun Aleron

Kylun straightened as he saw one of the palace gaurds drag a little girl into the throne room. A little girl! What business did she have with the king?

The little girl's eyes seemed to be soaking everything around her in with a horrible kind of distaste. Kylun had never seen the like of that look on a child before.

"You there," Kylun said, address the gaurd. "Why have you brought her here?" The guard leered at Kylun.

"She ran," he replied snidely. Kylun pursed his lips.

"Go back to your post. I'll take her," he said coldly. Scum like that man made Kylun regret his knighting more than anything. The guard gave a greasy bow and stalked off. Kylun wrinkled his nose in distaste before bending down to the girl's height.

"Are you all right, child?" he asked kindly.

**I hope this is okay - I was a little confused as to where the king was.

Nightfall

The dark fairy introduced herself as Wren. I watched her with suspicion, but figured that if we were going to save the creatures, we'd probably have to work together.
...yuck.
I flashed her a devious smile.

"Okay," I said. "You can come, if you can keep up..."

With that, I changed back into a cheetah, Elizabeth climbed on, and I took off. Just before I darted into the trees, I saw Wren give me the same smile I had just given her. I suppressed a growl.

All the way to the village, she stayed right with me, seemingly with no trouble at all. I slowed to a trot when we got there. Elizabeth got off and I changed back to a hybrid. I began wandering the streets, looking for the girl. Elizabeth and Wren stayed right by me. We walked into the inn.

Passed-out drunks were lying everywhere, some slobbering all over, some snoring like ferocious monsters. I stomped over every one in my path. Elizabeth and Wren were careful to avoid them. I walked up to the Innkeeper. He seemed like he was about to drop with exhaustion, but he continued serving drinks to the few men that were still conscious, knowing that they wouldn't be for long. Through droopy, nearly blood-shot eyes, he looked up at me.

I cleared my throat. "Did a little girl leave with a small group of people?" I asked him quietly.

He nodded to another part of the forest. "They went through there, about an hour ago."

I growled softly, thanked him, and we left. We headed for the trees that the man had pointed to and walked straight through them for a few minutes. Suddenly, someone jumped down from a high tree limb and stopped us.

"What are you doing back here?" They demanded.

I growled, but didn't change.

I was thinking that since Cassie didn't go to the camp with the rebels, that another spy could find us and take us there. Maybe Sera, or a different NPC? Or Enyalius perhaps? Not sure he would know his way back if he were to leave the camp, but it gives him something to do, right? xD

"Are you all right, child?" The man asked. I didn't answer, I just stared at him. He waited patiently for my answer, but I never replied. I felt like screaming. "What is your name?" he asked me. Again, I didn't reply. I was too frightened to say a word. He sighed and stood up.

He started walking down a hallway. I was about to follow him, but he held his hand up to me. "Stay here." he commanded. I did as he told, taking a seat by a wall.

Within a few minutes, he returned, his face solemn. He looked around, then took my arm and started rushing towards the exit to the castle.

"You must get out of here!" he said. Tears filled my eyes. I didn't know what was going on, but I knew it wasn't good. We reached the outside and he commanded for them to lower to bridge. When we reached the end, he bent down and took my arms.

"You must hurry. Get as far away from here as you can and hide! The king is planning to kill you. You are our only hope." He paused and wiped the tears from my cheeks. "Be strong young child. Now go, run as fast as you can!"

I didn't wait another second before running into the forest. I didn't look back, knowing that if I did, I would probably regret it. I wondered what would happen to the kind knight who helped me, hoping he would be okay. People like that deserve to live a full, happy life, but I knew that no one was safe to live a happy here life anymore.

Sera

I had been sent out, on Ren's orders, to find the girl. Why Ren thought she was so important was beyond me, but I couldn't argue with her. She was our all-important leader. And maybe our future queen, I mulled, if Enyalius knew what was good for him.

I was going to the castle, I had some idea she was there. I had no idea, call it intuition, but I felt she was in trouble. I had to walk most of the day to get there, but eventually I was standing outside the gates.

It wasn't going to be that easy, though. Four guards stood outside the gates. I peeked out from behind the tree I was standing beside, and in a moment of stupidity forgot I could bend fire.

I sat behind of the tree thinking of what to do.

((I'm back, although not for very long. Did this die? Seems a waste of a good storybook. I'm posting again.))

Enyalius

Enyalius paced by the edge of the forest, taking advantage of the blind spot he'd discovered on exploring the camp. Here, he was safe from Barric's challenges and Ren's loaded glances. Sera, thankfully, had left earlier to collect the little girl who had travelled with them a couple of days ago. At least he was free from her comments for a while.

He wandered further into the trees, and the sounds of the camp faded behind him, only to be replaced by a shout. With the grace of a dancer, Enyalius slipped behind the nearest trunk - a trick that was proving quite useful these days - and listened.

"We're just passing through." It was a woman's voice. She sounded proud and calculating; even though she was obviously lying, Enyalius could tell that whoever she was addressing would have trouble arguing.

"Passing through to where? I've been here for over a week on the King's orders, and I've seen nobody passing through. Where are you going?"

Cassie

I kept running until I couldn't run any more. I looked around, trying to find some mark that might give me a hint of where I was. No such thing was found. I fell to my knees, my head in my hands. What was I supposed to do now? I wanted to go back home, back to reality. Ren and the others could find a way to defeat the king...I hoped. I knew for some reason that I couldn't leave, though. I wanted to help some how, but I didn't even know where I was.

"Why are you crying little child?" I small, high voice asked. I turned around to see a small pixie fluttering by my side. She gasped when she realized who I was. Did she know something about me that I didn't know? That hadn't been the first time I had gotten that reaction. "So it's true!"

"What?" I asked, standing up.

"I have heard much about you, and I now I see that it is all true. Because of you, we have hope!"

"What are you talking about?" I asked angrily. "I can't do anything for these people except for get into trouble!" Tears started to run down my cheeks. I crossed my arms and tried to look angry. She gave a soft giggle, and I just glared at her.

"My dear, don't you know who you are?"

"Just Cassie Johnson, nobody special." I said.

The pixie gave out another giggle "But you're much more than that darling. You made this world come to life! You have more power than everyone in this world combined." It was silent for a while as I thought about that.

"What kind of powers?" I asked, a smile spreading across my face.

"You'll soon find out." she said, then turned and started flying away. Of course. It was always like that in the fairy tales. Why couldn't she just come out and say it.

"Wait!" I called after her. "Can you help me find my way back?"

She looked around in though, then smiled. "Just follow the moon, and you'll soon your friends' camp." I frowned and started walking back. I looked at my hands, wondering what kind of powers I had, or if I had any. She might have just been talking figuratively. I really hoped not.

The little pixie was right. I hadn't even been walking for 2 minutes before I started recognizing things. Once I was near the town, I knew the way. I noticed someone walking around. She seemed to be looking for someone. It took me a while, but I finally realized who she was. I ran up to Sera and gave her a hug, glad to finally be with someone again, someone I knew and trusted.

Sera

"Oh, Cassie, you're safe. That's so good. Otherwise I would have to face Ren's evil wrath." I laughed a little, "Come on, let's get to camp." She looked tired, so I pulled her onto my back.

About halfway there, we ran into trouble. Some enemies Ren had made a while back. I shoved Cassie into an alley, and then unleashed my fire full force. They were skilled too, but with air. They blew back any of my attempts to give them a good burn. A few more blows, and I was getting ticked. Finally, I got mad, really mad.

My hands reddened, and my eyes turned a nasty shade of glowing red. The tips of my hair seemed to some alive, and in one swift movement, I killed all three of the men. They were piles of burning, screaming flesh when I was done with them. I spit in their general direction, and then turned back to the alley.

When I looked over, I saw Cassie, covering her eyes, still in the alleyway. I ran over to her, and pulled her into my arms.

"How much did you see?" I asked her.

"Too much," she started to cry.

I pulled her into my arms. "It's okay, Cassie. It'll be okay." She fell asleep in my arms later as I carried her towards the camp. No child should have had to see something like that, but this was war.

Yay! It's alive again! :D

Nightfall

"Passing through to where? I've been here for over a week on the King's orders, and I've seen nobody passing through. Where are you going?"

After he mentioned that he was sent by the king, Wren and Elizabeth hid behind me. Hopefully he hadn't noticed them in the dark. I flattened my ears as much as I could so that they would not stick up under my hood.

I growled quietly. "What does it matter?" My voice steadily became more hostile. "Passing through is passing through. Who's to say I am even going anywhere? Who's to say I'm not just out for a walk?"

"In the middle of the night?" He snapped.

A louder, more angered growl resonated from me. "You've been here for a week," I said, trying to keep calm. "I've lived in the forest all my life." The man raised an eyebrow. My throat vibrated with another growl. "Just. Move."

The man stared us down. "I cannot allow you to pass. You'll have to go back the way you came."

I raised an eyebrow and started to turn. When I was about halfway around, I jumped back towards him and mauled him to death as a furious lioness. I morphed back and looked down at the broken body.

"Now, if you don't mind..." I bowed slightly to the man's remains and kicked them brutally out of the way. I turned to Wren and Elizabeth. They were both turned away from the terrifying scene. They cautiously turned back. "Shall we?" I asked them.

They slowly walked back over to me and we continued on our way, this time, very alert for more strangers.

If anyone wants to take them to the camp, that would be nice :)

Cassie

When I woke up, I was in a small tent. I yawned and stretched, then, rubbing my eyes, got up and walked outside. It took me a while to remember exactly where I was. When I did, I started to get worried. My mother would be wondering where I was. I'd be in so much trouble!

I noticed Sera walking out of Ren's tent, and I ran to talk to her.

"Sera, I need to go home! NOW!" I said.

"What? Why? What's wrong?!" she asked, alarmed.

"Nothing's wrong. I just need to get home!"

"What do you mean?"

"Can you take my to my tree house?" I asked urgently. This was taking too long, but I didn't want to cause more trouble by going on my own.

"I...don't know what your talking about."

"Please!" I said, tugging on her arm.

"Okay, okay! Where is it?" she said with a sigh

"I'm not sure, but I think we go that way." I pointed, and she grabbed my hand and started walking.
