Wow, thanks for sharing that poem, it was truly beautiful and inspiring. Considering the context I think it's an excellent poem. I'm willing to bet everyone who heard it really connected with it.

This poem is beautifully bittersweet. Like others have said, happy and sad at the same time. Your rhyming scheme is wonderful and I believe you have chosen right words :)

The only thing I must comment on is the title. The title is beautiful, but you have too different verb tenses...I'm saying the title should be: If Roses Grew Where Petals Fell.

Lovely :)

Thank you for reading my poem and commenting :smt001 You know, I thought for a long time about that beginning line and whether I should use "grew" or "grow" and I kept flipping back and forth, but then I decided I liked "grew" better. But now that I'm thinking about it again, maybe you're right. I don't know why this seems so confusing haha.

Does anyone else think it should be changed to "If Roses Grow Where Petals Fall?"

This poem reminded me why I liked to write and read poems. The raw emotion and the simplicity of relating to it made me so very emotional to this. My comment: very well done. Though one thin that bothered me a little was the last two lines, because I believe they didn't close the poem as it should be closed, as I read it I thought it could use a bit more of power. Anyway, that's a small regard; I loved it ^_^
