John tugged at the collar of his dress shirt. It was the first time he had to wear one in over five years; ever since his Uncle's wedding. The Dean had talking for what seemed like over an hour until he finally stopped.

"So Mr. Roberts, do you have any questions?"

John looked away from the window at the Dean, "Um, no sir, I don't."

"Very well then Mr. Roberts, here is your dorm key and don't forget the rules we just discussed," said the Dean.

John took the key from the Dean's hand, "Of course sir." To bad I didn't pay attention.

"Have a good day," and with that the Dean waved John out of his office.

"You too sir." Standing up he exited the office and started down the hall. He immediately loosened his tie and unbuttoned his collar. What's the point of this thing.

Stepping outside John reached into his back pocket and pulled out a crinkled piece of paper. Looking it over his eye was drawn to the bottom left corner. Room 315 dorm room D. He surveyed the area and found a campus map. "Dorm D, right over there." He pointed to his right and followed his finger. The dorm was about a hundred yards away.

He reach the building in less than a minute and entered. He noticed a note on the wall to his left. 200's on the first floor, 300's on the second. Taking a few steps forward he found the stairs to the right. He followed them, each step a step towards his new life. Once at the top he followed the white hallway down a few doors until he reached room 315.

Suddenly John's head started to throb. He rubbed his temples and smiled, "Must be the stress." He reached for the door, but the handle seemed to stretch away from him. His vision blurred and the world began to spin around him. He fell forward and the last thing he remembered was hitting the ground.

Headache didn't even come close to describing the incessant pounding in my head. Migraine came marginally closer, but it still didn't fully describe the amount of agony I was in. My head hurt. An angry sumo wrestler may as well have come along and whacked me with a tree trunk. It would have amounted to the same thing - pain, pain, and more pain.

I let out a low groan and tried to peel open my eyes. Looking back, maybe that wasn't the smartest move I've ever made. Usually light doesn't help splitting migraines. I was stupid to allow myself to be fooled into thinking that maybe this time would be an exception. It wasn't.

"Ow..."

I stayed there for a while longer, waiting to see if the pain would subside any. I'm not sure how long I l remained like that, but eventually I was able to force my eyes open with only a small wince of pain. The sight that greeted me, however, was less than reassuring.

I was lying on my back. There was no ceiling above me, which at first led me to believe that I was still in Central Park. My hopes were dashed, however, when a large blue bird flew overhead and looked down at me with a critical eye that had just a little bit too much intelligence gleaming in it to be comfortable.

Okay then. I'm dreaming, I rationalized. That seemed like a logical explanation, seeing as New York didn't have birds like that. I was no animal or avian expert, but I didn't think there was any bird in the world that looked like that one - electric blue, intelligent eyes, and a wingspan that I could only guess to be no less than thirty feet.

I pushed myself up into a sitting position, wincing again as a new wave of pain lanced through my head. Slowly, I turned to look around me. I blinked. There were other people here, all in various stages of unconsciousness. Some were groaning softly, while others appeared dead to the world. The rest of the landscape was bare, open fields.

Looking up again, I caught sight of the bird as it rose higher and higher before disappearing behind a cloud. I stared after it before rubbing my hands over my face and groaning again. I guess the only think left to do was wait for the others to awake.

"Ugh," I moaned, sitting up and rubbing my head. Pain shot to my temples, and I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to force it all away. When I opened my eyes again, I knew I had to be dreaming. There were others laying around me,, some asleep, others just waking up. I stood up, feeling dizzy as I did. There was open field everywhere around us. I looked up at the sky, stunned. This was...pure...awkward. There weren't many words to describe this, but...I'd have to say...otherworldy did best.

I walked forward a little, away from the others. My head was still spinning, and I couldn't see strait. Was I seeing things? I touched my head, not looking away from the reddish looking sky. I saw beauty, but not beauty from Earth. This was something I'd never seen before, but I couldn't put my finger on it. The sky was just gorgeous with the rust coloured clouds mixed with a little white and some blue.

You could only find painting of things like this on Earth. A bird flew overhead, blue and elegant. I reached my hand upwards slightly, but not making my arms go to high. I was only stretching, not going to touch anything, and I knew it. I felt my mouth agape, but I didn't make an effort to close it. I heard someone walk up next to me, slowly.

*Anyone*

Johnathan Roberts

John suddenly awoke. He coughed and noticed he was laying face down. He wiggled around a few times and once he realized every body part was there he sighed in relief. He slowly pushed himself up and fell back on his rear end keeping a sitting position. "What the hell happened. I feel like I got run over by a train." He started to rub his temples and looked around. He saw two people standing, the rest on the ground.

Taking a deep breath John slowly rose to his feet and cracked his back. The two people, a young woman and a young man, were both staring up at the sky. Her followed their gaze, but he was too late to catch what they were looking at. He walked up beside the young woman, "What'd you see?"

She was startled by his remark and backhanded him across the face. The force of the blow sent him straight down on his back. "Jesus, nice hit."

"Oh my I'm so sorry." She helped John to his feet.

"No, no. It was my fault," he said rubbing his right cheek. The event seemed to snap the other man back to his senses. John took one more look around, "Well, my name's John, John Roberts. Got any idea's what in gods name is going on, because I take it this isn't some kind of whacked out dream." He put his hand down, "This hurt too much to be a dream."

A bright light flashed in front of my closed eyes as a wave of pain washed over my head. Groaning I rolled over and tried to go back to asleep, but something felt wrong. Suddenly realization came over me, this was not my bed. Memories came flooding back to my head, about how I had had a headache and Ren going to get me some water. Then…nothing.

Tenderly I reached my hands out and felt what was around me. There was nothing that seemed even the least bit familiar. Bring my hand to my head, I tried to ease the ever growing headache. Glancing around I noticed that I was somewhere that was not familiar to me. I notice movement to my right, turning so that I was facing that way, I noticed a guy that was sitting up and looking around.

Suddenly hearing a noise to my left, I turned. There was a boy on the ground and a girl who was standing over him with her hand in a fist. Next thing I know, she is apologizing to him and he is making a comment about how this could not be a dream.

Sitting up I glance around the place and noticed that their were other people who are knocked out. Out of the other people, it looks only three have woken up.

“So umm..anyone know where we are?” I wondered quietly, while looking around and taking in my surroundings.

There was movement to my right, but at first I didn't take notice of it, keeping my eyes trained intently upon the clouds. The blue bird was gone, but something didn't seem right about the sky itself. My head was still throbbing too much to think clearly...

Oh. That's what it was. The sky was red. Or, at least less blue and more red, which gave it an odd pinkish hue. And that wasn't normal, last time I checked.

This is one bizarre dream, I commented to myself dryly, finally tearing my eyes away from the sky to look around at the waking people. There was a boy and a girl not too far off, and another waking up nearby. I overheard snatches of conversation, particularly: "This hurt too much to be a dream."

Not a dream? Then what...?

I struggled to my feet and stumbled over to them, just as another voice called out softly, "So umm...anyone know where we are?"

I stopped and turned slightly to look back at the girl who had spoken. She was sitting on the ground, her eyes wide as she took us in. I shrugged before I could stop myself. "Not a clue." I realized how arrogant I sounded and attempted to redeem myself with a polite, "I'm Neil. What's your name?"

Able

I helped him up, seeing that his face had turned red, and was turning purple. His fault for walking up next to me. I apologized though, looking back up at the sky one last time before letting go of my thoughts.

"You can call me Able," I said, letting go of his hand once he was to his feet.

"Where did you get an arm like that?" he asked, gripping his jaw. I looked away from him, thinking of Sebastian. I smiled halfway when I looked at him.

"I don't tell my story till you tell yours." I had learned it's best to know with who you're around before you go telling them anything. All he knew was my name, and not even my real name.

Luka Amanary~Location still unknown

It had been a minute before someone answered my question. Suddenly a man who was in front of me said, “Not a clue.” He must have realized something because next thing I know he says; “"I'm Neil. What's your name?" I stare at him for a second, trying to figure out if I should trust this man who name is Neil. Smiling a little bit I replying softly I say, “Luka”. He smiles back and silently offers me a hand. Grabbing on to his hand, I hoist myself up. “Thanks.” I utter. He glances at and nodded.

After that we both turn around and start stroll toward the other two that are up. Right when we get there we hear that the girl who punched the guy was named Able and the boy who was punched up named Johnathan. All of a sudden Johnathan asked how she got an arm like that, her only reply was, “I don't tell my story till you tell yours”. Standing next to Neil, we all listen to his story.

Chris Bale~

It happened on a Wednesday. The sky was bright blue and the sun poked out through the fluffy white clouds. The lunch hour traffic had just picked up as people were hurrying back to their jobs. Chris sighed as he rolled down the window letting the cool air in.

"Ya know," he said, turning to look at his sister "the air conditioner had to chose the hottest day of summer to break down."

Sarah nodded rolling her window down also. "It's more like YOU had to chose a jeep with a crappy cooling system."

Chris, smirked. "It's worth it. There's nothing more manly than a jeep."

Sarah rolled her eyes. "Oh please! You turn nineteen and suddenly think your a man?"

"Whatever!" Chris eased on the breaks and slowed to a stop at a stop light and whistled. The traffic in front of them was backed up for miles. "Dang. Guess that's what happens on a lunch hour in the city."

"God!" Sarah exclaimed. "we were supposed to be at the reunion an hour ago!" She gave Chris a look that said 'why'd I get stuck riding with you?'

Chris ignored her and focused on the road. Eventually the light changed and the traffic eased up. As they traveled further out of the city, the abundance of buildings thinned along with the traffic. Soon they were on a long dusty road out in the country.

"Are you sure we're not lost?" Sarah asked.

"Of course not." Chris replied as she eyed him carefully. "Look, I've been this way a couple of times I think I know where I'm going."

"You sure about that?"

Chris scowled as they he slowed at a four way. The light was red but there was nobody coming.

"What the heck!" he complained.

"Should we go?" Sarah asked. The road was quiet and a lonely lays potato chip bag was carried across the road riding an ominous wind. Chris put the car in neutral and they waited. But even after twenty minutes had passed the light did not change and the road stayed quiet. Chris grinded his jaw.

"This is ridiculous!" Sarah exclaimed.

"Okay I'm going," Chris put the car in drive and pressed the gas. The accident only lasted a second. The car made it to the middle of the four way. Sarah turned only just in time to see the white truck that slammed into them at full speed going 90 mph. The little truck didn't stand a chance. It flipped, and turned. It settled next to the truck in the middle of the road.

When the dust cleared Chris awoke in his seat belt. His head ached, he felt something cool sliding down his cheek and he had a metallic taste in his mouth. Chris turned just in time to see Sarah's frightened face and the second truck coming down the road behind her...Everything went black.

===

Chris opened his eyes and saw a red sky. At first he wondered why he was on his back then realized he was sitting upside down in the jeep. Suddenly his memory returned and he looked to the left for where Sarah was--No. Where Sarah had been. The whole right side of the jeep was missing. It had jagged edges and the metal looked torn and twisted as if it had been bitten into and not just hit by two fast moving trucks. Chris unbuckled his seat belt and slid out of the jeep to find himself unharmed except for the huge cut above his right eyebrow. He swiveled around to get a good luck of his surroundings...

*I had no idea how i'm gonna get him to the group so someone help me out please =P*

(I've got it.)

Johnathan Roberts

John looked as another young man and woman came to stand near him and Able. They were all staring at him as if waiting for something.

"Well," said Able with her arms crossed.

John sat down laughing, Who knows where the hell we are and I'm being ordered around like some slave. "Alright, may name is Johnathan Roberts. I'm was born an only child on a farm in Central New York. I've worked the farm all my life with my father, but my parents wanted me to receive an education and make a better life for myself. Before I woke up here I was..." John paused as the memories flashed into his head, "I had just finished an orientation with the Dean of NYU. I remember reaching for my dorm room door handle and then, nothing." He placed his hand over his face, "It's all blank." He looked up to see all there faces. They all looked like dumb founded. "Well, she asked, and I answered."

Able gave a slight smile and was about to say something when suddenly an explosion sounded from behind him. He tucked into his body as a wave of air and dust crashed against his back. The event was over in a matter of seconds and once the dust settled he spun around to see half a jeep behind him. A young man fell out of the drivers seat. "Hey!" John jumped to his feet and ran over the the young man catching him as he fell to his knees. "You okay!"

"Yeah...just...dizzy."
