really bad....

Hey, so here are three doodles I did while listening to a tape about a year ago. I know they are awful, but I would like to know what you think.

Do NOT tell yourself this! These are very, very good! Much better than I could do, haha, especially the trees. *has no talent with trees*

Your style is very unique. Just 'cause not every square fraction of an inch isn't shaded with five degrees of soft lead and your subjects don't have a hundred levels of depth to them doesn't mean it isn't good. I personally like your style--these pictures have a very bold look to them, with a hint of abstractness thrown in here and there (most notably on the clouds in the last one). I think my favorite single thing from one of these pictures are how you've colored the slopes in the second drawing--it gives a very good impression of snow-covered hills. I am also especially envious of the birch and spruce trees in your first drawing.

So! Don't tell yourself you have no talent, always try to improve, and--most importantly--KEEP DRAWING!!

Firstly, may I say, never say your bad at drawing. YOU CANT BE BAD AT DRAWING. Someone might not like it, and someone else might.

Thus, these drawings look like doodles, and aren't too bad!

So dont put yourself down!

+ They also have a certain 'zetti' feel to it. Which i like.

These aren't really that bad. They have a neat style to them, and you have a pretty good concept of shading properly.

First picture:
*The shadows are right where they should be, given the sun's position.
*The background could be better, but as it's a doodle, it's fine.
*Love the tall skinny trees; the shading is great, and the little knotted parts look cool.
*The little Christmas-tree-looking one is a good focal point, what with its position and the color. It looks like someone stuck it out in the middle of nowhere and decorated it. I can't tell if that's good or bad, but it still looks intriguing.

Second picture:
*The mountains. They're all the same height! And the snow-caps are all the same size! Variation would be good here. But right now they sort of look like glaciers that you can pop the tops off of and put stuff in them.
*For some reason, I really like the little triangle fir trees.
*Since you've shaded them with diagonal lines, I'd say that the next time you do a doodle in this style, try putting all the lines going in the same direction; that might look interesting.

Third picture:
*This is my favorite one, mainly because of your experimentation with different patterns in this doodle. Love the clouds. The patterns in the hills are interesting. And what you did with the water combined with the clouds being low and really dark at the bottom make it look like it's about to storm.
*The top left fish looks like he's dead. This is not bad, because the morbid side of me is tickled pink that the fish is dead. This is the other reason why it's my favorite of the three.
*The fish wouldn't have looked dead if both the fishes didn't look like they were floating on top of the water. I'd do a silhouette of fishes next time to show that they're under water, unless they're jumping. In that case, angle them.

But yeah, all in all these are interesting and amusing doodles. And they'd probably look cool in watercolor because of your style.

Don't hate on your doodles. You should love on your doodles and make more of them.

These aren't really bad. I enjoyed looking at them. I really like your style and the different designs you used on the mountains in the third picture. I think with practice you can develop your talent for drawing and create better drawings than these. I also really enjoyed the trees in the second piece.
Please keep drawing. I would love to see more drawings out of you. So keep it up, and work hard at it. (:

So I must say that these were pretty good but hey there is always a scope of improvement in them. THe ifrst one was the best for em and the second one the worst.

Exactly I do not know what a doodle is, but I would do my best to review it.
#1: I liked how the snow has been given a blue touch by giving the ree's branch and the sly dark colour. It looked mesmerizing.

#2: This one practically didn't give any meanign to my eyes. I was even not able to tell what exactly was drawn. So I think you can work on this one.

#3: I liked the water being shown in between the grass and mountains.

The colour combination in all was over-all good.

Everyone has pretty much given good advice. You have a sense of perception that just needs some training. I suggest looking for a book called "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" by Betty Edwards. You can ask your school if they have any copies or order it online. Any bookstore should sell it as well. It's the book I used to learn how to draw. Going through it teaches you all sorts of cool exercises and various tools to use when drawing. You have the beginning understandings and with a little practice you can grow and build on your abilities.
