My side ached but I didn't want to lie down. Gemma was practically begging me, but I told her I was fine, though everyone could tell I was obviously in pain. That was one thing I didn't hide to well. I could cover the tears, I could mask the the smile, but I couldn't keep the pain out of my eyes. I didn't give in. Tar would have nearly killed me just trying to get me to sit on the bed. I had no intention on going inside. Even when it started raining, I was outside.

It wasn't really rain. It started to drizzle a little, but the sun stayed out. The cool water felt good on my face, the dirt felt good on my feet, and the sun felt warm on my skin. This could be the best day here. I looked around and noticed everyone seemed to be holding some one's hand, or they were talking to them or something. Everyone had someone, that was my point. Everyone but me. I didn't mind it really. It only meant that I was the only smart one here.

Love is something only meant for a fool. Only the smart can keep away. But part of me wanted to be a fool. Wanted to fall in love with someone. Wanted to have someone to tell me that I was beautiful and I was perfect and that I didn't need to change. I wanted to have someone to hold me and tell me that it was fine and that I would be OK as long as we were together. All of my life that was all I wanted.

I didn't need a prince to come rescue me on his white horse. I didn't need him to fight off a dragon for me, or for him to have a crown of gold. I just needed him to want me for who I was, not who everyone wanted me to be. I could feel the tears rolling down my face. I wiped them off before anyone had the chance to see them, looked around to see if anyone was watching, then got up and walked off into the forest. I had no clue where I was going, but no one would have the chance to carry me back, where ever I went.

We were both grinning like idiots. Of course Domi was the beautiful idiot, but whatever. Nah, Domi wans't even the idiot. She was the victim of an idiot, but that's about it. "Wanna know something?" I whispered, kissing her forehead.

"What?"

I brushed a strand of stray hair behind her ear. "I love you." The words could be so easy to say when there weren't a ton of people to hear you say them.

It was beginning to drizzle a little again, my back was getting wet. Wait...my shirt had soaked through that fast? Oh wait...my shirt was torn into bloody shreds and laying on the floor back at the camp. Nevermind then. Well, Domi would be dry at least. I grinned and went in for her lips again. The perfect moment. The rain just added to the effect.

DOMINIQUE

"I lo-" I was cut off by his lips finding mine again. His lips moved perfectly in sync with mine. Oh how i loved him. How could such a perfect guy be mine? He had one hand on the ground, supporting him, while his other tangled itself into my hair. I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him as close to me as i could. I never wanted this moment to end. I was getting dizzy, what was wrong? Oh! Breath, must remember to breath. He pulled away for a second, his smile made my heart flutter.
"Breath." Before i could blink he was kissing me again. His tongue begging for entry, was i ready for this. Yes, i opened my mouth slightly.

Her lips parted and my heart started to gallop. I didn't let my tongue go too far, I didn't want to scare her. The arm I was using to support myself was going numb. It was in a really awkward position. I made no effort to move though, I couldn't ruin the moment. Of course my arm giving out and me crushing Domi wasn't a good thing either. I could hold out a little longer, so I would.

I ran my free hand through her hair. I pulled away slightly again, giving her a little room to breath for a second before pressing my lips against hers again. There was nothing that would ruin this moment for me. The rain wasn't even chilling me, everything had this incredible delightfulness to it. Heck, one of the beasts could be chewing off my leg and I don't think I would care. The only thing that seemed to be in existance to me right now was the beautiful woman I was kissing.

And this is why I didn't hear the twigs snapping or the bushes rustling or the footsteps plodding behind me in the forest. Two sets. Nope, I was completely unaware of everything but what I wanted to be aware of.

So it wasn't that bad. I still had myself to love right? Well, not the same as someone loving me for me. If that even made sense. It's better for the feeling of love to surprise you rather than have them written down like the plot to a story. I liked it better when I couldn't see it coming. But what did I have coming? Love wasn't meant for me obviously or it would have come to me already.

I sat at the edge of the lake where the helicopter had crashed. So many memories were here, yet so many forgotten. I couldn't remember what exactly had gone down after Tar jumped. I remembered lunging for the woman like a lunatic. Then, I remembered fire and blood. Then the pain. I could feel the pain like it had just happened. I kept my left hand over the wound, my arm wrapping across my body. I wanted to remember, yet I was glad I couldn't. could anyone blame me for not wanting to remember? No. Could anyone fathom why I would want to remember? Probably not.

I wanted to know what she had done, if she had given me a shot or something that would kill me. But if she had, I would be dead already. I should have been dead. I'd seen the light, as people say. A very bright white light. I wasn't very religious, and who could blame me after being stuck on this island, but I knew God had a hand over me.

I touched the water with the hand that wasn't being used. It looked like glass, looking across the top of the calm water. There was something sticking up out of the water a distance away. It seemed to be moving in this direction. I squinted to look at it. Unfortunately it was a head, bobbing up and down out of the water. My heart nearly stopped right there.

I climbed in a tree, slower than usual, to get a better view. My heart began to beat again as I realized it was just the body of the woman. I sat in the tree, thinking of a way to get down. Any of the ways I was thinking of--jumping, sliding down, swinging from a limb--would cause too much pain, so I just sat there. And I sat there for a while. Until I heard something in the trees. I was too high up for anyone to see me, or anything to get me, so I just watched.

GEMMA

I sat down on a nearby log, "I'm ready." I said.

Matt sighed, "Okay here it goes..."

"Matt wait," I interuppted, "Don't feel crazy for thinking that you know me. From the first second you stepped out of the bushes I swore I knew you too. So either we know eachother, or we are both crazy."

"We aren't crazy." laughed Matt. "We lived in the same village. I know, or knew your brother Duncan. Through him I swear I learned everything about you. You were his world Gemma, he would have done anything to protect his baby sister." He smiled, "You were pretty much the only reason he went to school, or work." I let a small gasp pass through my lips, not hiding my surprise at all I knew Duncan went to school just for me but hearing someone else say it, it sounded so different, so much more true. "I saw you around the village lots and knew who you were but I feel like I seriously know you. Duncan would never shut up about you."

"Well, if we are from the same village howcome we weren't on the same plane?" I asked.

"We came at different times, Logan and I are from the first batch of people that was shipped out here." he said staring at the ground. From the look on his face I could tell without words that he was saying him and Logan were also the only ones left from the first batch. The only ones still alive.

"Oh, I didn't know..." I trailed off, leaving us in silence.

Annie and Tars yelling broke our silence, they were fighting about Annies health. No surprise there. I patted Matt's shoulder and whispered "If its any consolation, I'm glad someone here knows the real me. I'll be right back." I scampered over to where Tar and Annie were standing.

"You're an evil mind reader Tar." grumbled Annie.

Tar chuckled, "You guys will keep an eye on her right?"

"Sure thing Tar." I said, recieving a glare from Annie.

As Tar and Domi walked off Annie raised her shirt, exposing her stitches. We talked for a while until I could see the pain distorting her face. "You need to lie down Annie." I pleaded.

"No I don't. I am fine. Don't you wrroy." She said stubbornly as she walked off.

I decided to take her word for it, Annie was stubborn but she wasn't stupid. She wouldn't hurt herself.

Saphire
I walked through the forest deep in thought when I came across Dom and Tarrion doing what else? Making out. I blinked once and screamed "MY EYES!!" They were to busy to notice so I just blinked again turned around and sat down on hte ground.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."

"But you have heard of me."

I heard someone yell "My eyes!" It sounded like Saphire, if I even knew what she sounded like. She sounded maybe a few yards away, so I climbed down, and went to where I had heard her. Tar and Domi were doing what they did. Kissing. I cleared my throat loudly, and they jumped, splitting apart. I pointed to Saph where she sat, her back to us. She turned her head slightly, a smile on her face. Then, Tar realized something.

"You're supposed to be back at camp, laying down." I sighed, and put my hands on my face. I really didn't need this at the moment. My side was still hurting, and a headache was developing. He stood up, still babbling about my health. I put my hand up, and stalked off in the direction I had come from. "Are you listening to me? Where are you going?" I climbed back up in the tree, climbing higher than before. I was home now. I breathed deeply, but it didn't help. The pain spiked, and I couldn't help but groan. Tar was still talking.

If he wanted me down, he'd have to come get me, and this tree didn't have many limbs, so I knew he couldn't do it. So I just sat up there, closing my eyes tightly, and I think I went to sleep.

I heard her groan and I flinched. She was hurting. "Annie, please!" No answer. Was she sleeping? Fine, let her sleep. I wasn't going to let her stubborness ruin the mood. I turned around and grinned at Domi.

"You know what?" I asked, wrapping my arms around her waist.

"What?"

Saphire coughed loudly and I pulled back a little. "I think that after we get Annie out of that tree and back to camp, we are going to have to have a party. A party in honour of..." I could have said love, but I doubted anybody would really appreciate that. "A party in honour of partying for the sake of partying."

"How do you plan on getting Domi out of that tree?" Saphire asked. "And what happened to her anyways?"

I looked up at Saphire. "It's a long story. I would be more than happy to tell it with her in excrutiating detail tonight." I smiled crookedly. "We can probably get Wren and Gemma to coax her down."

Domi nodded, glancing up at the tree.

"We'll go get Gemma and Wren and then we can come back and get her." I didn't like the idea of leaving her here, but what choice did we have? There was no way to get her down and standing here wasn't exactly getting us anywhere.

"Well, let's hurry then," Saphire muttered, nodding in the direction of the cabin.

I put an arm around Domi's shoulders. I needed her close, and this seemed to be as close as we could get without Sahpire puking all over us. What would Domi say if... I bit my lip, a new idea blooming in my head. It was corny and cheesy and it would end up unofficial...but what if? I turned to Saphire excitedly. "I need to talk to you alone when we get back." I figured that coming with Wren and Gemma wasn't such a good idea. Annie was probably in the midst of hating me anyways. I turned to Domi quickly. "I need you to come with Wren and Gemma to show them where Annie is."

Domi stared at me. "Why can't you come?"

I sighed. "Because. I really need to talk to Saph and I guess the guys, too. I have..." I trailed off, biting my lip.

"What? Tell me!"

I shook my head. "It's a surprise." I winked at her and kept going. Tonight would either be the best night of my life, or the worst.

I blinked once and crossed my arms. "Alright. Whatever." I muttered crossly. I hissed in Tars ear "Do not be to sappy or I will have to kill someone." He looked at me terrified and I grinned. I was being cruel to try and hide the fact that I was lonely.

I laid there for a few more minutes, not exactly wanting to move. My side hurt too much. My little stunt probably just led Tarrion to believe I hated him. Of course I didn't. He was only trying to help me. But his helping didn't really help me all that much. It on;y made me want to die. I actually had someone caring about me, but why? I saved his life, according to Tar. I told him to jump out of a frickin' helicopter! He could have died! And all I did was kill the crazy woman that was trying to kill me.

DOMI

Now i was anxious. When we got back to the cabin, i didn't want to leave tarrions side. But he said he needed to talk to the others alone. I reluctantly let him go and walked over to gemma and wren.
"Annie went and climbed up a tree, can you help me get her down?" they both nodded, looking at the new guys again before following me out into the trees.
"Which one Dom?" I looked up into the trees, looking for Annie. When i saw her i pointed.
"There she is." We ran over to the tree, gemma cupped her mouth and looked up.
"Come on down Annie, your going to hurt yourself more!" I heard her groan, impatiently.
"Please Annie?" I called up. This was going to take a while.

I moaned and rolled onto my stomach, looking down at them. I couldn't move without it hurting. Even that last move made the pain spike again. I wanted to fall out of the tree if that was the only way I could do it, but that would only hurt more.

"Come on Annie," Wren called. I moaned again.

"It hurts," I said, sounding like a child. I heard them talking below me, but I didn't focus on it.

"I know, but you have to come down so we can make it stop." I knew that wasn't going to happen. If I couldn't, they couldn't. But I sat up anyway, tears forming as it only hurt worse. I climbed down, slowly, but surly. As soon as my feet touched to warm dirt, I sank down, sobbing through the pain. I just wanted someone to kill me and get it over with.

My heart was in my throat as I ushered Saph, Matt and Logan outside. Wait...I hardly even knew Matt and Logan! Why was I bringing up something this personal? Oh well, I needed some help...

We were behind the cabin. "Okay, what is it?" Saphire asked.

They were all going to think I was the cheesiest man in the whole world, but I didn't care. "Saph, you said nothing soppy and mushy, but..."

She groaned loudly and I chuckled.

"Listen, this is important to me okay?" It just occured to me that Matt and Logan had never met Saph before. "I suppose I should introduce everybody huh?"

Matt nodded. "That would be nice yes."

"Saph meet Logan and Matt. Matt and Logan meet Saphire. Now..." I paused and took a deep breath. This had sounded so, so much better in my head about ten minutes ago. "Wow, you guys are going to think I'm an idiot." I laughed nervously.

"Well?" Logan asked, eyebrow raised. I officially had him interested.

"I doubt we are ever getting off this god-forsakin island, am I right?" I asked, trying to calm down.

They all shrugged. "We're pretty much stuck," Saphire added. "What are you getting at?"

I sighed. "You guys are all going to burst into hysterics, but bear with me okay?" They all nodded impatiently. "Tonight I want a party. A celebration for...well, I have no idea why. Just because I'm in a good mood. We've got music and we can get food..." I paused, unsure of how I was going to explain this last part.

"Yes?" Matt prompted.

"I wanted to ask Domi a very important question... It would all have to be more or less symbolic because there's no way to make it official..."

Saph's eyes widened in realization. "You have got to be kidding! You're asking her to...what did I say about mushy?"

I shrugged. "Yes, yes I am going to. Mushy is officially running through my very veins. I can't get rid of it."

"You're asking her to symbolically marry you?" Matt asked. He looked ammused.

"Well...I suppose so. But it's only symbolic because...well, we don't really have a priest now do we? Or certificates or any of that junk." I took a deep breath, my heart was pounding so loudly I swore everybody could hear it. "I just don't know how to ask."

They all stared at me like I was insane, which I don't deny I was. I was very insane indeed, but that's just what Domi did to me.

It hurt. All of it. The pain was too much, and by the time they realized it, I was begging them to kill me. I didn't know what to do, but I wasn't going to lie there like that. They couldn't move me, so one of them went back to get someone to help. I laid there, moaning, while Wren tried to sooth me.
