Hey there, everyone! The name's Stephanie and I like to write. Hence why I'm here, of course. I'm 20 years old and double majoring in Radiologic Tech and Pharmacy, have an insane music collection and rather enjoy fried dumplings.

I think that pretty much covers it for now, haha. :P

Hi there, and welcome to YWS! I hope you love it as much as I do.

I'm lupis, or canis, or Canislupis, doesn't matter. :)

So, what kind of stuff do you like to write? Poetry? Fiction? Non-fiction?

What kind of music do you like?

If you have questions or need a critique, let me know! I'd be happy to help or point you towards someone who could. :)

See you around!

Lupis

Hi Steph! Those sound like excellent majors. :D I'm a biochemical engineering major myself, so who knows! Maybe we'll be working with each other someday. :)

Nice to see you here!

@Canis: Well, I prefer non-fiction but I've also dabbled in other stuff (namely opinion articles and essays). Try to experience everything, you know? And as for music...Oh my, haha. I listen to jazz, house, classic rock, downbeat, punk, ska, classical--I could probably go on and on and bore you. And I'm always looking for new musicians to listen to (hint-hint)!

@Snoink: Oh wow, awesome! But I'm sure you're a lot better with math! It is perhaps the biggest of my banes, numbers. But, the medical field has been a lot more promising than Advertising (the major I was originally aiming for)--Business theory classes are perhaps the worse. >_<

Business theory classes ARE the worst, lol! But yeah, math can be a little difficult. Still, what got me in was the biology... still! Radiology? How's that? :D

Hi Steph!

Welcome to YWS! Name's Freyja. Nice to meet you!

Rad tech, eh? That's what my mom is. I'm a nuclear engineer myself...whee!

So, you like music! Yay! Well, I'm more into industrial, but if you like that, I can recommend some good bands. And fried dumplings -- <3

Anyway, hope you enjoy it here, and if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask!

I like industrial, although lost touch with it and recently got back into it with Trent Reznor's newest band How to Destroy Angels. Good stuff! Have you heard 'em? And aaahhh, I wanted to go into nuclear engineering but the uni that has those classes is four hours away, UGH.

Hello there!

Welcome to YWS!

I hope you're enjoying your stay here. How did you find out about YWS? Anyway, I'm really glad we have another member here. I will be also happy if you publish your stories here and see what I can do to help you through a review.

What type of genre are you most into writing?
What is your favorite book and author?

Just some slight random question just to know you better. try vising Chatroom, just found in YWS Homepage. It's really a cool place for everyone to talk about anything.
Remember: If you don't review, you won't get any reviews.
So try reviewing other people's work and you may not know you are already helping them to become a better writer!

PM me for questions or anything.

Peace out! :smt004

You know, though, with the radiology you can still work in the nuclear engineering field, but as a radiation health thingy-person. I'm sure a career counselor can give you more information than I can on that, but basically they have people at plants who read the TLDs and such.

I haven't heard that band, but the name Trent Reznor sounds really familiar... I'll check them out whenever my internet stops being a dork--it'll only open Yahoo and YWS, but at least it opens YWS, right? :D Anyway, I didn't mention. I'm mostly into electro-industrial, dunno if you're more on the rock side or the electro side...I keep going backward, though, discovering my favorite artists' former bands...haha. *throws out a few band names* Icon of Coil (one of Combichrist frontman's earlier projects,) Jesus on Extasy, Assemblage 23, Angelspit, Deathstars (they're more rock,) Ladytron (more electro-clash), Neuroticfish, Rotersand...yeah, those are my favorites. If you want/like/whatever.

:D

Freyja out.

Do you like Harry Potter?

Or, more importantly, a Very Potter Musical?
Honey, you should see me in a crown.

It's really late, but I don't care! Muahaha.

By the way Freyja, Angelspit is AWESOME. They led me toward Combichrist, and I'll for sure check out the bands you listed off. :D

As for Harry Potter...Read the first book when it FIRST came out way back when and was catching steam, but otherwise, I've stayed off that bandwagon. Nothing against HP nor Rowling--I actually respect her as an author--but at the time I discovered LOTR and it was game over, lol.

Perhaps my favorite genre to write within is fiction--be it fantasy, sci-fi, supernatural or otherwise. Recently I've been on a sci-fi kick, though. My favorite writers are, hands down, Neil Gaiman and Frank Herbert. Neverwhere and the Dune series are BIG favorites!
