Hello - read it,or the evil unicorns will eat you

Hello people,
My name is Ashley. One thing I can tell you is I absolutely despise shoes. But sadly, it's pretty much a law that you must wear them. I live in Canada- which means I like to tell people we Canadians live in igloos and ride polar bears(9 out of 10 times people believe it). Sometimes I worry that there's something incredibly wrong with my brain, because I get so lost in my thoughts. I write mostly poetry, because whenever I start to write a story of any kind I get sidetracked and never finish. Pretty sure I have at least 17 unfinished stories laying around. So yeah, I prefer to stick to poetry because I always finish the poems I write. Usually I don't share them with anyone but I've wanted some kind of insight on them for a while, so *bam!* here I am. Other than writing, my life involves photography, drawing, and music. My friends always same I'm too weird, which it may not seem at first but eventually the weirdness comes out. Oh, there's also talking fish that inhabit my brain sometimes- just thought I'd share that. Anyways, I'll try to censor myself from my colourful assortment of words, and hopefully you'll all be willing to give me some nice(or not so nice)advice on my work.

Anyway,l so you're more of a poetry person, huh? Great. Me, I prefer stories. I'm miserable at trying to make something poetic.
And, I love photography! There's an Art&Photography forum, which I think you will like. You'll find some pretty awesome stuff. Or, how about a photography contest?
Weirdness is always awesome! Haha, I'm always pro quirky!

I completely agree with the poetry thing! That's why I write mostly poetry. And yes! Shoes are quite horrible, I often find. As a child, I would roam around the neighborhood with my bare feet. Even when I walked across the roads. Flip flops are okay, though. They give my feet some breathing room.

Art, music and photography! Ahhh! We can be best friends. Those are my passions in life. You should post some of your artwork in the Art and Photography section. Send me a message when you do! I'd love to see it.

Sorry it's taken a while to reply. Been busy with school work since exams are almost starting,lots of stuff to get done. Including an English assignment involving writing a poem or short story...

Strawberries or mangoes? - strawberries. The ones we get are strangely mutated and way too large to be normal,but still wonderfully good.
Chocolate or chocolate-covered doughnut? - chocolate. I'd rather stuff my face with chocolate than doughnuts.
Do you have a favourite band? - I have many, but to narrow it down I'd go with anything Andrew McMahon has been in, Death Cab For Cutie, and anything Craig Owens is involved in. I could carry on with bands but I'll do my best not to.

Moose,meese, same thing I suppose. Though I never understood why goose changes to geese but moose doesn't change to meese. But no, we don't ride moose, as far as I've seen haha.

I got attacked by an emu once. It was at a farm in some town and it looked like it was gonna eat my face! So, if your emu doesn't eat you, I'll be sure to stop the evil unicorns from going after you. Deal?

If you tell me you like stuff I write but don't supply any advice, I'm okay with that. I'll still feel warm and fuzzy from being appreciated. As for Canadian bacon, sometimes it's bacon bacon, and sometimes it's ham like stuff. I'll go get some Canadian hambacon and then see if there's anything special. The maple syrup here is good though. The fish seem like a reoccurring thing. I'm not sure if I should be worried about them?

Hey! I have a talking fish that inhabits my brain too! Wow, that is insane stuff. can you please contact my therapist and tell him I am NOT crazy! Just kidding, but really, I will probably have a nightmare about evil unicorns tonight I love poetry too! And one more thing that's similar, I love to write (hence the whole "Young Writers Society thing"). Although, also like you, I can never finish the stories that I start. Poetry is nice though because I like rhyming words.
And funny birds.
And colorful herds.
Of sheep.
