Okay, so there was another person with us. I couldn't decide if that was a good thing or a bad thing. It would be harder to hide, but more brains to find a way to get out. Oh well, we weren't just going to let her die here, or leave her on her own.
"I'm Melanie." the girl said. Okay, here we go with the introductions.
"I'm Marcie." Marcie said.
"Chris."
"Alista."
"Camile."
"Jessica." Jessica spoke quietly, and after introducing herself, didn't say much. I wondered why, but she'd have her reasons. We all talked, except for her, and Melanie got to know us all, and vice-verse. I really hoped Marcie wouldn't tell her stupid things about me, or Jessica. I still didn't know why she didn't like me, and I didn't want the knew girl to think of me like she did too. It was good to relax again after all that hiding and running from the cannibals.
After a while, I stood up. "I don't mean to break up the talk, but we should get moving if we ever want to make it out of this place."
"He's right," Marcie said, standing up, then added, "for once," quietly. I rolled my eyes, hoping Melanie didn't hear that. I didn't want more trouble with people thinking of me as someone I'm not. Marcie smiled at my reaction and I just looked at her, but I couldn't hide the smile on my own face.
We started walking, and I led. "So, how long have you been in this place?" Chris asked Melanie. He seemed to be enjoying her company a little more than necessary, but ignored that. I didn't want to judge him. He might just be being friendly.
