" I want people to talk to me not just for escape plans. I want someone to be my friend but no one ever cares to ask if I'm ok." I burst out quietly.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."

"But you have heard of me."

"We all care about you, Saphire," I said earnestly. "We always thought you were the type who wanted to be alone."

"I do, but not all the time!" she choked out. I looked into her eyes.

"We're sorry," I said.

I watched as Saphire bit her lip and said "Thanks."

Why didn't she talk to us? Why did we always have to make the first move? I shoko my head.

I saw Jupiter shake her head and I stood up and faced her. "I know your wondering why I don't reach out. I do so I don't get hurt I do it so I can stay safe." I said facing her directly my face blank but my eyes a turmoil of pain and sadness. I walked up to one of the cameras and said coldly "I want out until I need to go to testing."

Saphire didn't trust us? That was just annoying. I walked away and stood next to Logan. "She apparently thinks we're on their side," I said scathingly, my usual happy manner gone. "That we're working against her. Glad she's just the kindest person here."

Logan looked surprised. "She thinks we're on their side?" His face hardened.

I nodded sadly. "I don't know... apparently we have that bad of an opinion with her."

I turned towards Jupiter having heard what she said. "I don't think your on their side. I just don't know who to trust anymore." I said defeatedly. One of the nurses walked in and I turned towards her with a false bright smile on my face. "May I stay in my room until testing?" I asked her politely. She smiled and said in a sickenly sweet voice "Of course you may." I followed her out and into my room. I sat on my bed after closing my door leaving it only open a crack. "Mary had a little knife, little knife, little knife Mary wanted to end her life, end her life, end her life, Mary had a little knife whos blade was stained with her blood." I said as loud as I could. One of the nurses popped her head in and smiled a false smile. "Excuse me I couldn't help but overhear. Don't you mean Mary had a little lamb?" She inquired. I grinned and shook my head. "Nope I meant exactly what I said." I said brightly. She looked at me strangely for a moment wrote something in her notes and walked out. I crossed my legs and grinned slightly it was fun messing with their heads.

~Angel~

A nurse lead me into the room, using more force than was necessary. He didn't smile, he didn't nod to me, and I knew why. I had stabbed one of the guards, and they put me in a strait-jacket for two months. I had abut gone insane in there! I pushed him away from me, not being playful at all. These were people I hated, why in the world would I be playful with them?

"Mary had a little knife, little knife, little knife Mary wanted to end her life, end her life, end her life, Mary had a little knife whose blade was stained with her blood," Fire said as loud as she could. One of the nosiest scientists here.

"Excuse me I couldn't help but overhear. Don't you mean Mary had a little lamb?" she asked, cocking her head to one side. Fire smiled widely. "Nope I meant exactly what I said." I smiled, taking a seat in the only available corner. I didn't feel like talking to anyone at the moment. I closed my eyes, trying to take a nap before evaluation began.

I watched as Angel came in. I didn't go over to talk to her. I just sat there and leaned against the chair.

Sterling

Everything is pitch black.
I can't feel my toes, my knees, my fingers. My tongue feels numb. Something pokes the bottom of my toe. Dang! Alright, I felt that. Who the...? Oh crap, why the heck am I spinning?
My eyelid slowly begins to rise. The room bright room looks extremely blurry and distorted. Light floods my vision, snapping my eyelid back closed.
"He's coming to, Doctor." A distant female voice.
"Get her in here." Another voice demanded.
The door unlocked and swung open. I felt a warm hand on my forehead, the thumb forcing my eyelid open. A light beamed into my eye.
"His vitals look good. You're saying he killed one of your guys?"
"Yes. Ripped his eyeballs out..." The woman standing over my body paused and glanced behind her, almost not convinced.
"You're sure about this?" She asked, clicking off the pen-light and releasing my eyelid.
"Of course I'm sure! I was standing right next to the man! I have his blood on my coat!" The female nurse grew angrier.
"Alright, alright. Calm down. We'll get to the bottom of this."
"Bottom of what?" The angry nurse stepped forward. "He needs to be put down, there is no treatment for this, Gretta."
The 42-year old nurse standing over my body turned to the door. "There is always treatment. Clear." A loud, sudden click resounded through the room and she pushed the door open, leaving the room. The door slammed close, leaving me alone in the room with the nurse.
She proceeded to remove my restraints quickly as my eyes slowly began to open. "Wake up, sleepy head." A distorted image of a young blonde woman appeared in my eyes.
"How ya doin there kid?" She asked, finishing the restraints.
"Susan?" I turned my head to the side slowly, a pounding sensation appeared in the back of head.
"How's everything? You feeling alright?" She spoke slowly in her soft southern accent.
I rubbed my head, beginning to sit up. "My head is pounding." She quickly pushed me back down. "No no. Stay down, buddy. You need to take it easy."
My head slowly felt that soft pillow below my head again as I licked my dry lips. "Could I get some water?" I coughed. "My mouth is seriously dry."
"Of course, of course. I need to get your meds anyways. Give me a sec." She patted my stomach and walked out of the room. "Oh, and happy birthday Sterling. 17, wow. It's been a long time. I'll be back with that water."

I was soon walking through a bright hallway. Decent looking. Better than any hallway I've seen before. It actually had carpet and wallpaper on the walls. It almost seemed like a hotel hallway, or at least the ones I have seen in movies. Two men in white shirts and pants walked next to me and Susan led us through the hallway, a clipboard in her hand. "C'mon Sterling. Hurry it up." She hurried me past a door. Glancing inside a little window, I saw a young girl yelling some weird phrase about Mary and a little knife. I had never heard that version of "Mary had a Little Lamb" before, so I assumed she was mentally ill as well, or just stupid.
We continued past some more rooms and stopped at a white door. Susan opened the door to a bright room. This room was unlike anything I had seen before. Plenty of young people, a TV in the corner with some cartoons playing. There was even a little arcade game in the corner. A water fountain about ten feet to my left.
"Here you go, Sterling. Make some friends, you deserve it." She looked down at her clipboard, quickly scribbling something. "I'll be back for you in a couple of hours with Mrs. Ryding. She's going to talk to you about a couple of things." I nodded and with a quick smile, she shut the door.
I looked back toward the room and noticed a young girl with a bump in her stomach area. Look at that, how the heck can someone get screwed here? I mean, do they even watch these people anymore?
I ignored the thought and glanced at a young blonde man sitting in the corner along with another young kid sitting next to the pregnant girl. I smiled and walked over to the small couch in front of the TV and calmly sat down. I like cartoons.

Logan glanced over at the new guy. "Who do you think that is?" he asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Someone new, I guess."

"Should we introduce ourselves?"

"We probably shouldn't, but let's do it anyway," Logan said, shrugging. I laughed and grinned and we walked over. "Hey," Logan said.

"Yeah, hi," I said nervously. "I'm Jupiter, and this is Logan."

Eva

I'm locked in my cell again. The nurse had already came and gave me my meds. I'm completely calm and relaxed. I'm laying on my cot, humming a tune, when the door opens and a different nurse then I'm use to walks in.
"Hello?" I said, smiling. Her name tag reads Renee.
"I'm Renee and I'm your new nurse. Dr. Lyke, your regular nurse, was killed today by a freak psychopath," she tells me. My smile fades. I liked Dr. Lyke, he was always so kind to me when he took me to the lab.
"So, now what?" I asked.
"I'd like you to go meet with the other kids. I heard that Dr. Lyke never let you come out and I feel like you need some social interaction," she said. I was stunned. I had heard there was other children like me here but I never knew that they gathered together or even talked at all. I thought they were treated like me.
I got up. "Okay."
She lead me out the cell, down the hall, to a steel door. Renee put her hand on the door and paused. "Are you ready?"
I took a deep breath and nodded. She opened the door and I stepped through. My eyes took a while to adjust, the light in the room was brighter then the light in my cell or the hallway. I saw kids, mostly older than me, gather in groups. When the door opened everyone glanced over at me. The guy watching TV glanced at me then looked away but everyone else just stared. I felt insecure. I didn't know what to do so I stood there, waiting for something to happen.
Every time you smile, I smile
And every time you shine, Ill shine for you

The new guy could stay there with Logan, but that girl looked really uncomfortable. I walked over, feeling slightly nervous- some people saw me as a freak that had to get screwed no matter where I was. Some people didn't believe that they made me get pregnant.

"Hi," I said, "I'm Jupiter."

"Eva," she said quietly.

"Nice to meet you," I said brightly. "I think you'll like being able to talk with us."
