Hmmm sorry I haven’t posted. I am on a picnic. Right? Could someone please tell me where everyone is thankyou. . .. 

I through Rootbeer’s favorite toy as far as I could. He was the smarted dog I had ever met. I sat down on the grassy hill and sipped my water (wishing for cream soda or pink lemonade) ignoring the talking behind me. Ahhh this was the life. I watched the clouds fly past. It was fun to watch them move. It was like a moving picture. Always the same, yet always different.

Glen

I am still very sleepy when Destiny ruined my sleep and cried about picnic stuffs. As I went downstairs to the kitchen, my drowsiness left me, surprised to see a lot of people inside the house. My siblings, their boyfriends and Aiden's girlfriend crowded the room. I decided to rushed back upstairs to my room, but Destiny was quicker. She pulled me and we strode off the door, following Aiden's lead. I looked at Mom for help, but she just smiled and raised her eyebrows.

At the park, everything is very boring for me. I grabbed a sandwich and sat on the grass, looking at my surroundings. Everyone is having a good time, singing while others were talking. And then I saw Hope with a book on her lap. She was playing with her dog. I went over to her and asked, "May I borrow your book?"

I handed Glen the huge book.

“I’m not sure you will like it. It’s Jane Austen’s work. Kind of lovey dovey. But, not at the same time.”

“Yeah her books follow the same basic storyline.” He agreed.

“Well read it if you want to, but don’t get it all worn out like you do. I need to finish Emma so give it back in a few days.” I laid back. The grass was cool and there was a slight breeze. I started to eat a PB&J sandwich.

Alright, the whole gang had turned up, yeah! Except... they'd brought boys? Ewwwwww! When I'd said everyone I hadn't meant... well that sucked. How would I persuade anyone to play with me while they were kissing and cuddling? In fact, most of them had gone off to do just that: Destiny, Aiden and even Lyric! Eliza had abandoned me to talk to Trixie; she was probably trying to look more grown up while around Rebecca. Booooo! And of course Hope was hosting the book club, the only other member being Glen. Saphire and Abigail were having a sisterly moment which left me alone with the food.

I didn't mind for a little while but there's only so much eating a girl can do and since the others didn't bring food we had to share ours now. Sigh. Whatever happened to Aiden being responsible? "Anyone want to play hide and seek?" I asked, looking around the group hopefully. "Come on guys, I'll even be on first if it means we actually do something!" I concentrated my pleading look on Destiny first and then moved on to Eliza, thinking them the most easily persuaded. That didn't seem to be working so I pulled out the big guns.

"Aiiiiiden! You never play with us anymore." I gave him a sulky expression.

"What? I played Tennis with you!" Dang. I'd forgotten about that.

"But that was last week! Come on Aiden, it will be fuuuuun. Promise."

I didn’t want to play hide-and-seek! Rootbeer would blow my cover right away. Anyway, Glen and I had actually gotten into an in-depth conversation about Harry Potter. We both had pretty strong opinions about the ratings it got. Usually I didn’t talk much, but I really couldn’t get away with it all the time in a family like mine.

“Not me” I said to Faith

“Why don’t we play blind-man’s bluff it is way more fun.”

"Nah, if Faith wants to play hide-and-seek then lets do that!" I grinned at her, tickling her playfully for a moment. "Come on guys... Who do you want to be 'it', Liza?"

Hope rolled her eyes at my obvious favouritism, and I paused. Maybe it wasn't fair to spoil Liza so much.... but then, she was waaay cuter than the others. And I was a brother, I was allowed to have favourites. Eliza smiled smugly, looking around at the other thoughtfully.

"I want...... Lyric to be 'it'." she decided after a moment, and Lyric glanced up, surprised, as her name was announced. Probably she hadn't been paying attention... I gave her a thumbs up. She'd get what was going on once we'd all run off... hopefully, anyway.

"Right guys, we're playing hide-and-seek, thirty seconds to hide, anyone who gets lost will be hunted down and beaten by me. Got it? GO!!!!!!!" I laughed as we ran off, Becca looking kind of bewildered and amused as I grabbed her hand, throwing Liza onto my back, and sprinted into the distance to find a hiding spot.
Elizabeth: "There will come a moment when you will have a chance to show it. To do the right thing."
Jack: "I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by."

Eliza

Aiden ran to the tree at the other end of the park, the one with the huge roots that were great for hiding. Letting me plop down to the ground, I squeezed into a tiny crevice under an immense root.

Aiden sighed. "You and your young tricks," he said, smiling. I wasn't the shortest of the family, but I could squeeze myself into pretty much any little cranny I could find.

A distant voice, Lyric's, shouted at the top of her voice, "Ready or not, here I come!"

We held our breath.

Saphire
I laid back and watched the clouds go by. I had nothing to do but it was a really pretty day out. I closed my eyes and started to hum wondering where Abigail was. I put my arms underneath my head but kept my eyes closed I felt myself dozing off slightly. I fell into a very restless sleep a few minutes later. I awoke to the feel of cold water being poured on my head I shot up and heard a giggle from behind me. I turned towards it. *can be anyone*
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."

"But you have heard of me."

I was only vaguely surprised when Aiden asked Eliza to pick who was it. Awesome! I didn't have to go first! I knew it was because he liked Eliza best though and not to save me from counting. We all had our favourites. It was impossible not to! There were just so many of us and the most I hoped for was that I wasn't the least favourite of anyone. That would be awful! Coming last out of so many? Ouch!

As Lyric started counting, I darted away to search for somewhere to hide. It didn't take me long. I could have climbed a tree but that would have been dull so instead I decided to go for something crazy. Stripping my jumper off and dropping it near Hope, I ran across to the pond and slipped under the water as quietly as possible. I stayed near the bank and found a patch in the reeds where I could keep my head above water but be hidden. The water was bloody freezing! But I knew it would be worth it and well, I'd dry off quick enough in the sun and could put my jumper back on for warmth. See. I'd thought it through!

Lyric finished counting and I watched as she started looking around. I wondered who she'd find first and hoped it wouldn't be me. Surely she wouldn't think to look in the water, right?

Lyric

Lyric counted to thirty slowly, a smile playing its way on her lips as Austin kissed her cheek and then ran off with the others, laughing loudly. "Twenty eight... twenty nine... thirty! Ready or not, here I come!" She called, laughing loudly at sight of the empty park. With a tiny laugh, she shook her head, and started out through the park, calling out to her siblings.

"I got you!" She yelled, peeking over a rock quickly, only to find no one there with a sigh, she set her hands on her hips, looking around. After a couple minutes, she heard a giggle that resounded throughout the whole park. With a wide grin, she walked toward the far end of the park, past the tiny pond, where a splash sounded suddenly. Peering under the small bridge she spied Faith who was looking at her with wide, pleading eyes.

Lyric grinned crookedly, winking and pressing her finger to her lips. "Shh, I won't tell," she winked again and ran the other direction, yelling, "Come out come out where ever you are!" As she neared a huge tree, she heard a giggle. Smiling softly, she got down on her hands and knees, reaching under the roots slowly.

Before she could get to Eliza however, huge arms picked her up from behind, sending her screaming in fright. Eliza shot out from under the tree, running towards base. Lyric, glaring at her older brother, who was still holding her in the air, poked him on the nose. "Aiden's it!" She shouted, smiling wickedly as he set her down.

Eliza

I ran, laughing loudly from the tree. I was lucky with my long legs and my big brother who would do anything for me. I slowed down to a stop to see who was counting next.

"All right, everyone, back to base!" called Aiden. People came out of hiding places everywhere around us, giggling loudly.

Faith pulled herself out of the pond, dripping wet, and made a dash for her towel and jumper. Then she walked, smirking, back to stand by me.

"She found me first," she finally told me, still grinning. "M-hm," I replied. I knew that Lyric's favorite was Faith. Faith was my favorite sister too, but she didn't know because I never told anybody, in case of hurt feelings. Aiden was my second favorite, and the others, well, they were teenagers, that's all I can say. I grimaced at the thought of being one soon myself.

"Here we go, peoples," shouted Aiden,"1...2..."

Hope
I ran even though I hated it. Better to run than to be found. Right? I jumped up into the same tree as last time. Rootbeer laid at the bottom. We were such a pair. I sighed Aiden never listened to me. He seemed to like everyone else better. I shouldn’t have played. I heard footsteps in the leaves coming towards me.

Eliza

As Aiden counted, I pretended to run in front of him, shouting, "You'll never find me, bro!"
Then I quietly sneaked behind him, waiting for him to finish counting and open his eyes.

"Ready or not, here I come!" he finally shouted. While he tramped off to the tree I had seen Hope hide in, I silently followed just after him, taking care to stay out of his line of sight.

"Aha!" Aiden cried as he saw Hope behind the tree with Rooty. Hope's eyes widened as she saw me behind him, trying hard to hide my giggles, and I put a finger to my lips.

"What's wrong?" said Aiden, looking at Hope.

"Oh, nothing, just I didn't want to get found. You know I don't like counting."

Aiden smiled, but his eyebrows were still raised.

"Whatever," he sighed, then called to everyone once again, "Everybody out! Hope's it!"
