Kisa/6:00pm/Azlea City
I hopped of Poni and grinned at my group mates. After chasing a couple Team Rocket Grunts, I was left alone, staring up at the action from below. But, I had decided to follow them... I didn't want to be lost again. So I hopped on Poni's back and, well, here I was.
They had just piled out of Slowpoke cave.
"You can ride that thing?" Kent said, his eyes open wide.
I smiled and fed Poni a berry I had swiped along the way. I had also picked up a few Apricorns. I remembered Azlea was very important to my mother, and thought that she might be here, waiting for me. I also remember that Kurt, the acorn man, lived here also. He made wicked pokeballs out of Apricorns. And I wanted some.
"Uh, I'm not sure of other's can," I said, stroking the fireless hair on her stomach. They were all watching, waiting for an explanation. "But my mother trained Poni ever since she was a little baby to be ridden. Isn't that right baby?" I said, stroking her silky nose. I looked up. "What did you guys do, anyways?"
"Oh, I just handled a huge pack of Rocket Grunts all by myself."
"Pfft," Max groaned and folded his arms.
"So every thing's cool?"
"Why else would we be here?" Max said, looking off towards the town.
I looked across the familiar faces and noticed a new one. He was a tall boy - taller than me - and had an adorable small pokemon at his feet.
I also noticed two were gone. Sam and Tyler? Where did they go...?
"You're a new trainer, huh?" I asked the new boy as we walked into town. I was the only girl...
"Uh, yeah," he responded and scratched behind his ear.
"So how'd you get stuck with Ke-"
"Hey, if you don't mind, I have some pokemon to heal. Hurry up!" Kent called back to the rest of us. I sighed and quickened my speed. But, as soon as we were a few feet in front of the poke center, I paused. I needed to visit an old friend.
"Hey, I'll meet up with you guys after..."
Kent shrugged, "'Kay."
I turned and walked south, towards Kent's house. He was an old friend of mother's, maybe he had seen her.
