I'm guessing the lack of anyone besides JMs and mods commenting combined with most of the responses above means that the statistics block can be axed. It'll still exist; just not on the front page.
In any case, I brought this up because I'm looking at reordering the front page to make room for the official poll again. I miss those!
At first I was thinking 'what statistics? ...' But, uh, yes, I know them. Don't look at them, though, as you might have guessed. Official Poll sounds awesome.

I like reading the statistics. (I must be weird. Oo) And, when you had the map on, it was really cool. Maybe you removed it for safety reasons, but great piece of tech, that was.
