Thank you so much! And ha ha, I knew it was you, and I'm sure everyone else did too... :smt003

~Ellie May~

"I'm glad that your sister is here," I said, grinning. He smiled widely. "I am too," he said, seeming very earnest. Kaylee nodded, a smile on her face as well. "So what happened while we were gone?" Blaise asked. I stiffened, trying not to let the smile fall from my face. I really wished this wouldn't have come up. I didn't want to talk about it. But, in a world of lies, there are some half-truths.

"Blake, Corbin, Michel, and I all talked. I do think Michel hates me though, and I wouldn't be surprised if Blake"--it was hard not to say her real name--"ignores me now. Long story that I don't have time to explain at the moment." That was the most talking I'd done sense I'd gotten there, and, while I talked, my eyes didn't dart around the room like they had before.

"...alright," I said, worried about Ellie but not saying anything. "Did the wolves come at all?"

"Not a peep, but they must be coming eventually."

"We saw some sleeping," Kaylee said. "We know where their den is. Maybe we can take them on."

Blake

I wiped the tears from my eyes and stood up. Since no one's ever seen me cry before--except, of course, Ellie--I got plenty of stares, becoming the Center of attention. A role which I hated. I looked through the familiar faces. I couldn't help but miss one.

"Uh, guys.... Where's Caroline?" I asked.

<if the answer is really obvious, I am truly sorry. My review thingy will only let me see back so far>

Fighting wolves seemed to be something to take my mind off of all the family drama. I had been such a distraction for everyone here. Hopefully that would change soon. Maybe if we put plan miracle into action, we might get to go home...but wasn't it those back home who had sent us here? what did we have planned for after we got back? would we kill them all? No. I was in my own little world thinking about it all, that I didn't realize that Michel and Blake had walked in. I just sat there, braiding Anika's hair, and staring off into space.

Ester Alice:

“Where is Caroline?” Blake asked her cheeks stained red with tears. I looked around simultaneously half suspecting for the cheery girl to jump out from behind a crevice, carrying a flower in her hair. Kaylee smiled tiredly, “I believe she went for a fly. I haven’t seen her ever since I and Blaise left.”

I sat down heavily, flopping back in the dirt. My muscles hurt, my throat was parched and my knee was really killing me. Corbin coughed into the palm of his hand nervously, willing the small chatter to a stop.
“I have something to report.” Michael frowned; Ellie looked up from Anika’s hair, her eyes widening with confusion.

Sitting up, I stared at Corbin, watching his lips move.
“We were sitting in the bushes-” Corbin began. Michael hooted with laughter, “What were you both doing in there?” My cheeks blazed instantly, both Kaylee and Blaise began to laugh hysterically. A smile hit Ellie’s face; she looked away holding back a tirade of laughter. Blake giggled, quickly clamping a hand across her mouth.

Corbin shoved at Michael sending him stumbling to the side. “No need to get all defensive mate,” Michael looked at me and winked jokingly. I shook my head at him, embarrassment covering my face. “Shut up and listen would you,” I looked up to see the whole of Corbin’s face had turned a stark red. Michael placed up his hands grinning. Kaylee waved her hand at him, shaking her head. “What do you wanna tell us, Corbin?” Corbin sighed thankfully; “As I said we were sitting in the bushes-” Michael scoffed instantly. Corbin instantly threw him a look, “And whilst we were there, a wolf attacked us. There was a syringe looking thing poking from his shoulder. I think, well we both think, that this serum gave the wolf super strength.”

“What?” Blake said, raising an eye brow in confusion. “What he is trying to say,” I said standing up, holding on to the wall for support. “Is that, the serum within the syringe was the same foaming at the wolves mouth. When ever we tried to attack, and I mean stab it, the darn thing just kept getting back up.” Silence barred the room. I narrowed my eyes, physically willing away the red that had come to my cheeks.

“You think it’s a serum that gave the wolf extra strength?” Ellie asked. Corbin shook his head, “We know!”

Michael

Michael had shoved down his sadness. He was good at. He was already cracking jokes, but this news sent a shiver through them. The wounds he already had were pretty bad now the wolves were stronger.

“So what are we going to do?” He asked.

“Are we going to go back?” I looked at Anika. We had just got her back, and now we were going to put her in danger. My eyes met with Ellie. I sighed then looked away holding everything back.

“Are we going to go back?” Michel asked.

I turned towards Kaylee, willing her to speak. But she shook her head helplessly. "I don't know, Michel. I... I just don't know right now." I took her hand and, after looking a bit startled, she looked at me gratefully for the extra support. "What do you all think?" she added.

Blake

"I think we should do something," I said. "We can't let them kill us off one at a time when we try to get food. We're too hurt for that. And we can't heal up here; we'd die from starvation."

Others nodded there head, but looked unsure of what course of action to take.

"I think the only thing we can do is leave the island." Nobody wanted to hear that. They all looked at me like I was crazy. Maybe I was. That plan definitely was, but we were running out of options. We were growing desperate. We had to do something, and we had to do it fast.

Sorry for the shortness, I couldn't really think of anything to say-write I mean.

Ester Alice:

"Leave the island?" I mouthed, my breath catching in my throat. I didn't want to leave the island, even when they were talking about it before, it pained my heart to leave my one and only 'home'. I gulped heavily, staring at the shock on everyone's faces.

They couldn't deny it, none of us could. Blake was right, we do have to leave the island. It is a must. Hanging my head, I tried to quickly think up a plan. Something that would stop us from leaving. "But how are we going to hide our wings?" I asked quickly. Blake stared at me, her eyes glazed over.

She shook her head, "I don't know. But we have to find something fast, if we want to survive."

Kaylee:

Squeezing Blaise's hand I said "We need to leave here. Fast. We can only come back when we know for sure we're safe. As for our wings, well, let's hope we all know stealth because we're going to need to break into some shops without anyone noticing."

Blaise gave a thoughtful look and said "We have to steal the stuff from one area and move on to another so no one gets suspicious." I nodded in agreement.

I looked around at all the faces, saving Blaise's and Anika's for last. With a larger amount of strength in my voice I said "We're leaving tomorrow."

"Tomorrow!?" Someone nearly screamed "But-" I cut them off, the leadership in my voice showing "We must leave tomorrow. We can't afford anyone else getting hurt or killed. And there's no way that we can heal while being chased by wolves."

I scooped up Anika and held her with one arm, till holding onto Blaise's hand with my other hand "Anika," I said to her quietly "Do you want to go on a trip?" After a moments thought she shook her head. I gave her a smile "Sure you do, it'll be fun." When I got no response I added "Blaise is coming with us." With that she nodded.

Kissing her forehead I whispered "Good girl."

Ester Alice:

Tomorrow!? Cheese on a fish stick, were we really going to leave that fast. We didn't even know what the Human's village look like. Were there lots of people? What kind of weapons did they wield? Would they kill us on sight...judging from the scientists, that would be a yes.

I fumbled with my bandana and sighed loudly. Looking down at the rags I called clothes I wouldn't be surprised if we were pitch forked in the very place we stood. I almost giggled, looking up I saw Kaylee staring down at me. Had I spoken aloud?

"We should all get some sleep, we have a big day ahead of us tomorrow," Kaylee said softly. Though, it was an outright order. Curling up into a tight ball, I listened to the foot steps as the others tried finding a comfortable place to sleep. I didn't really feel like sleeping anymore, as if this new of leaving drained away my fatigue into a burst of pure engery.

Caroline:

“H-hello guys.” I said faintly. I could sense a strong aura inside me, as if something or someone was controlling my entire body. Their bewildered eyes on me, they looked speechless.

“Where the hell have you been, Caroline?” Ester went towards me and held my hand. I was shaking. I was weak. I couldn’t speak, something was holding me back.

“Your hands’ cold.” Ester said with a puzzled look. It was awkward to see her examined my body.

I couldn’t say it.

“Excuse me, Caroline? Why you’re not saying anything? You’re hungry again?” I heard her laugh a bit. She didn’t have any clue. Everyone was looking at me; cold stares filled my blurry view.

Oh no.

Before I knew it, I held out a sharp dagger out from my side pocket.

What was I doing?

“Caroline, what are you doing?” Blaise said behind Ester. His conscious look gave me goosebumps. And then, a cold dark feeling dominated my body. The flow of my blood through my veins… I felt it but it wasn’t me anymore taking actions.

I’m sorry guys.

A tear rolled down my red cheek.

A force happened and there I knew my body was moving fast. I took in a fighting position and directly went to Ester and pointed the tip of the blade towards her.

Fast. Blaise covered Ester and block my action as he dodged my dagger using his knife. Blaise pushed me with a strong force and I fell down with a loud thump.

“What’s wrong with you, Caroline?!” Ester exclaimed.

I couldn't say it.

Kaylee:

I hovered over Anika protectively. Looking at Caroline's face with a hard expression I noticed something different in her eyes. I placed a hand on a ranting Ester and she became silent. Crouching down by Caroline I placed my hand on hers. It would seem comforting to her but it was really just in case she tried anything else.

She looked away when I met her eyes. "Caroline," I whispered kindly "Look at me." She didn't make a move. With a little more force I said "Caroline look at me." She again made no movement. This time when I said it it was an outright command "Caroline you look me in the eyes right now."

With a struggle she looked at me. Searching her eyes I saw something different in them. Taking on of my hands off of hers I took her chin and looked as far into her eyes as I could. I gasped and my mouth fell open. Snapping it shut I let go of her and began inching backwards.

Tears welled up in her eyes and I muttered "No. No. This can't be happening. No." Then I broke into sobs and screamed "No! No, no, no, no, no! We were so close!" I stood up and stormed around the room letting out frustrated screams. I knocked over everything in my sight and let out aggravated screams.

Someone wrapped their arms around me from behind. Before I thrashed out at them I crumpled to the floor and hugged myself to the person holding me. It smelled like Blaise "We were so close Blaise. We were so close." I whispered through tears.

Blaise

"We were so close Blaise. We were so close," whispered Kaylee. I nodded and stroked her hair. Anika was standing by Ellie, confused, but she didn't do anything. I kissed Kaylee on the forehead and then leaned my cheek against the side of her head.

"What do you mean, Kaylee?" I asked when her tears had subsided a bit.

Kaylee:

I took a deep breath and let it out but it was shaky. I clung to Blaise and whispered for his ears only "Something isn't right with Caroline Blaise. There's something in her eyes that's just-" I cut myself off so not to cry.

After a moment I continued with "Her eyes look like the wolves do. Haven't you noticed how the wolves eyes have changed? Like something is in there that's not supposed to be. Haven't you noticed that when one of them gets hurt or hurt us they look like they want so badly to stop?"

I glanced at Caroline quickly and then back at Blaise "They got her Blaise."

Blaise stroked my hair and said quietly "Kaylee you're talking in riddles."

I bunched my hair into my fists and with a sigh I released it "Blaise, something is controlling Caroline. Something beyond our knowledge. Di you not see her face when she took out the knife? Did you not see her start to cry when she attacked Ester?"

After a moment of silence I whispered "They've got her." Looking over at Caroline I let my gaze linger on her as I said "And I don't know how to get her back."
