Orchids

I took this photos because I didn't have anything to do on a party. The flowers are part of orchids. I wish you all like it! I also used color accent on this.
This are not editted either, I only used my camera and it's features :3

The first photograph is gorgeous. The pink really pops out. The second and third are roughly the same, but there seems to be something off about it. :\ I can't tell what. Don't get me wrong - they're still beautiful, but not as much as the first.

The rest are okay, nothing that particularly sticks out in my mind though.

So basically what you did here was take some alright shots and edited them, and I commend you on that! Using grayscale to accent the colors is something I've fiddled around with, and it's fun stuff, but see the problem with most of them now is that there's not enough color! It works well for some, but it ruins what were probably perfectly fine pictures for others. What I suggest is that instead of doing a full grayscale, just tone down the rest of the colors instead.

Hey Vitamin!

The first picture is gorgeous, mostly because of the vibrancy of the flower and the fact that you only highlighted one side, which made our eyes automatically go to the flower. The second picture, you highlighted both sides, which was a little weird and didn't have such a cool effect.

The other ones don't seem as vibrant, and this is mostly because the colors just don't pop out as much. So next time, think more like the first.

Thanks for the Tip! I have to tell you that I shot this in my camera with color accent,I did not edit this on any program. It's a feature were the camera only shows the selected color. But thanks anyway, I'll try to edit it.

First of all, I'm sick and tired with pictures of flowers with gray backgrounds. That said, I think you should know that I really liked the one that was exactly the opposite: the one with a colored background and a gray flower. It stuck out to me because nobody ever takes pictures like that: they're always like the first ones (which were okay, but there are so many of those ones, it just gets a little common).
So I commend you on doing something out-of-ordinary (I'm aware of the fact that it may or may not have been purposeful) I'm also surprised nobody ese commented on the gray flower. Strange...

I don't know very much about photography, well, nothing, really, but I do draw a lot, so I guess I have a little artistic insight. Just to warn you, I don't have much flair for photography...

First picture: pretty cool... but the reddish highlight that pops up ithe background detracts from the flower

second picture:I love the angle and the way some of the leaves cross over the flower...it adds a lot of interest.

third picture: the yellow highlight adds a great contrast, and the pattern of the chair in the background gives it texture and some....I don't know what, precisely, but it adds a lot to the image.

fourth picture: the flowers turned silver is really cool, it looks like a sculpture or something. It's a little busier than the other photos, though, so it's harder to take in.

fifth picture: the focus on the flower is really awkward, with the wide angle and so much plain grass in the background that it makes the flower look very shrimpy.

sixth picture: now this is really cool! The red of the leaves is very vibrant contrasting the grey/silvery colors of the background, and the reflection seen on the leaves in teh distance is charming. I really like the rich colors especially!

Overall: great work! It's a very nice colleciton of images, the sort I could picture hanging nicely on my wall.

Tips to consider: Try to highlight the things you want to bring attention to, and keep playing with angle, that's a lot of what made these so fascinating.

Keep photographing!

I love these, they are gorgeous. The only one I didn't like was the fourth one. My favorite is the last one. I love how you make the pink stand out from everything else. I hope to see more work from you soon.

Ok, so firstly I should probably say that although flowers do make beautiful subjects, I do feel that they're sometimes over photographed. It's a little like clichés in writing.

However, clichés can still be good, so that's no real reflection on your work!

Picture number one stands out to me simple because the colour you've used totally pops out of the photo. As Jen said, this technique is used a lot, but it still has a good effect. It's nice.

The second one is pretty much the same as the first, for me. No point in showing both of them, really. I like the first one a little better, anyway.

On the third, I think that there is too little colour. You've used the same technique, and this did work before, but now it just makes the flowers seem a little lost amongst the world of grey.

Picture number four doesn't jump out at me, but I like it because of the way you've turned the previous technique around and done something different. It's definitely an interesting idea, and you might want to play around with it to achieve a great effect.

Five is just ... bland. Way, way, too much grey grass. There's nothing to focus on! Perhaps if you took it closer to the flower then it would be more interesting, but for the moment there is no point of focus which makes it a little boring.

Six is quite lovely. It's more subtle then previous photos, which gives it a nice feel. Again, I don't feel like there is enough colour, but perhaps you could play with the contrast setting on it so that the greyscale doesn't just look washed out.
