To make sure everything works once we start on the novel (May 4), I'd like to do a test first. To test, all you need to do is go here:

Clicking on that link will take you to a test document for the 1000 Monkeys Project. If you don't already have a Google Account, you'll be prompted to create one. Once at the document page, write anything but write something.
By the way, for those who may be wondering, I decided not to go with Zoho Writer. Turns out, it would've cost a ton of money. Google Docs is free, and probably better.
So, test away!
Update
Well, tested it just now with a maximum of 10 people editing at once and the test went great. You can see people edit character by character, and you can chat with those currently editing at the same time.
At the time being, the test document linked above is open to everyone. That is only for the test. When we go to write the real thing, I will have to manually add you to the document. That way, we can track everyone (otherwise it just calls you 'Anonymous User').
I just wish Google Wave was fully out already! It'd be perfect for this kind of project, but alas. Maybe next time.
