Hiya! Cassi Here! I have to say the first one is amazing, absolutely so. I wish i could draw like that. And the second one *drum roll* BEAUTY AND THE BEAST!!! I automatically loved this just because it looked like the rose off of Beauty and the Beast! No joke. I'm a Disney freak. Ask anyone! This is amazing work here! These were good; my only suggestion is that for the first one, work on the shading. A little tip for getting the shading right is choosing a place for the light source to be coming from, then finding where the shadow would be and where/how the light would be hitting the rose. The second one reminded me of "Beauty and the Beast" too. These were both nice, and personally I always thought charcoal was a little harder than regular pencil, so nice job.

Yeah, the second one is the rose from Beauty and the Beast, though I tried not to be too close to the Disney version.
Charcoal is something I wanted to work on, and that's what did with the first one, though I don't like it when mixing it with regular pencils. It doesn't blend well. Sticking to a light source is hard for me, though. I've been trying to work on it.

So, I really have to give you kudos for trying to draw roses! That intricate petal design makes it tricky, doesn't it? I've tried and tried to draw roses, but they end up looking like spilled ice cream. I always wonder how artists do it!
If I had to pick, I think I'd say I like your first one better. This is simply because it has a rough, more realistic quality to it, while the first one looks computerized-there's nothing subtle about it. Your outlines are just too obvious and with minimal shading it's all just solid color. Also, I didn't catch any thorns on the second drawing, and they're really hard to see on the first drawing.
I understand that you can't go back and these, but when you're drawing a part of nature, keep in mind the tone you want to set. Realistic? Cartoony? That way you don't get an awkward clash of both.

Hey Mochi. i liked it. I would want to tell you one thing. In Hindi, Mochi means cobbler. . I loved your first rose drawing but however I cannot say the same for second one. However, i liked the rose and the glass covering but the background and atmosphere is damp.
