I wanted to post something on this forum from a long time but I didn't get any time. I would be updating it everyday, i hope. Sadly, my digital camera's batteries are out for rest so cannot click more.

I think I like these. Well, they're okay. Not bad, but I know that you could certainly do a lot better.
Well, with both your photos, I want to mention something about the angles anyway. Since you don't have a scanner, you can put these on a flat table and take it from a downward angle. You should also be able to see in the view-finder if you're getting anything besides the photo in the picture. If you still get unwanted parts, you can crop them out when you put it on the computer.
#1 - So, I like this picture more then the other one, but what is it supposed to represent? Try to make the opening a little more defined (right now it looks like a shaded spot) by darkening where you shading and adding an outline. I think the depth you tried to create was well done, though.
#2 - Okay, so my feelings are mixed on this photo. You say it's your first attempt at "good sketching". I'm not quite sure what that means. Realistic? Detailed? It's not realistic and comes off as a satirical picture due to one proportion of the body being enormous! Even I'm not sure if this what you wanted or not. If you did, this good stuff. If not, you should look at pictures and sketches and drawing guides. They'll give you an idea for more realistic proportions.
I can definitely see your talent, but it needs a bit of refinement, which will come in time, so don't stop drawing! PM me if you have any questions.

1. Stronger lines would help a lot. (Picture Below) Circled in orange- See? The black lines don't connect here. 2. I liked this one much more than the first. This dude belongs in one of the Disney/Pixar movies, if you know what I mean. I love his huge nose, the shape of his face, and his hair! His right cheek is way wider than his left, though. And once again, stronger lines would help a lot.
I just realized, we've been chatting and stuff, but I've seen your pictures before! I don't know how, maybe I was wandering art and photography or something, but your a great artist, maybe we can convince Sol to build us an artist room or something where we can go draw together when we live with her! (I draw too) well, I'll stop talking, great work, byee

I have pretty mixed emotions about these. Like, I'm not sure what the first one is even supposed to be. Were you going for a M.C Esher kinda thing?
As for the second one, I'm not sure what you mean by "good sketching". First off, he's disporportioned, his earring isn't placed right, he has no shading or depth. Overall, I'm just not that into these. I can see that you have potential, so keep working and you'll get better!
