I just want to be friends...
What we had,
some might say it was special,
but I call it a
lie.
You never loved me,
you don't know what love is!
When we were together...
Those feelings I had?
I was just going through the motions.
You'd never know this,
but I truthfully never loved you;
liked you to begin with.
I need to forget.
I need to know that when I see you around
we'll be ok,
and there will be no such painful memories
that flash in front of our eyes.
I see you trying...
Must be hard?
...
I feel sorry for you.
I feel sorry for my best friend,
the one that you chose over me.
Because while you are in desperation
and
while you are causing her to feel
depressed
I'll be there
and you'll be nowhere in mind.
I'll be with her
to lead her through the stupid mazes you'll put her through.
Lead her away from YOU. [:P]

I really enjoyed this poem. In fact my favorite lines were the first five:
CreativeFreak wrote:I just want to be friends...

lie.

I love how you italicized lie (even though it doesn't show that when it's quoted tear tear.). It really made the poem stand out and it showed a uniqueness.
I didn't notice any grammar or spelling errors, which is great!
Nice poem, and I hope to read more poems of yours!
Keep writing! :elephant:

I can't believe how exactly this fits to my life right now! Dead serious, sounds just like what I just went through a mere two weeks ago! It's a rough thing to go through and you nailed all the right emotions in this poem. I would know haha. I love this, PM me if you write more about this please.

Oh and by the way my favorite part,
I feel sorry for you.
I feel sorry for my best friend,
the one that you chose over me.

I'll be there
and you'll be nowhere in mind.
it says EXACTLY what I had in my mind :)

hi creativefreak, i'll be your reviewer today.

really did like this one. especially the first five lines, i think they were my favorite. and the situation you talked about is something that happens so often but, i don't often see poems about it. anyway, a good read, keep it up

hello there, creative!

Well you do have a creative mind. :D The poem was very emotional. The flow was good and it connects to every line.

"Walks away smuggly"? or it was supposed to be "smugly".lol

Anyways, keep on writing poems like this and you'll do great!

Peace out!

Hahaha! The dancing elephant is cute, but I would lose that and the whole *walks away smugly* part in serious poetry. ;)

As far as your poem goes, right now it seems a little one-sided! It seems like it's all about her, her, her, and not at all about the kind of relationship they had. That is, there is obviously some sort of relationship, but it seems bizarre why they would enter in such a relationship anyway, since it seemed largely manipulative. Which means that I have less empathy for the characters... a bad thing! So next time, make it a little less her, her, her and help us understand why it happened in the first place. It'll be a lot better, trust me. :)
