Mkay, so this is 64. He's one of the main characters from a book I'm writing. Yes it is posted on here but anyways, I used GIMP for this big guy. I'm fairly new to GIMP and I'm still testing everything out on it so there won't be anything truly special to it. But I'm welcoming critique so don't be shy. This is basically just a concept of what 64 looks like. The guns on his back are retractible, I just had no idea how I would draw them all mechanically inhanced so I left alot of the detail that was supposed to be on them out.
So critique away!

Oh and sorry for such a large file. ^^''

Instead of waisting new threads I decided to just dump these in here too.
These are old but I'm still in love with them.
I would really appreciate major critique for the first two.
I made them links because the files are too big and I don't want
to be slowing any computers right down to the bone.

These pictures are just random sketches, but critique if you want!

This is a cool drawing! I like how your character is sitting upright the guns look awesome... Nice! It would be better if you add some colors or did you just intentionally make his fur white? What's that green thing? Is that his hair?
Anyways...

Keep it up!

Peace out!

Hey! Good luck!
I really like it! I haven't tried the software myself, but you seem pretty good with it! Your character is awesome, and the hair (?) looks awesome, like it's dripping off. Your anatomy seems pretty spot-on (although the body and jaw looks too small for the neck). The ears would look better if they were facing us (you get what I mean?) but overall, very well done! I'm 'liking' it!
Keep creating!

P.S Welcome, nice to meet you! If you ever want a critique, PM me, I'd be happy to!!

Thanks! Yes, his fur is supposed to be white. And the green stuff, is yes, his hair. But glad you liked it!~

Thankyou! It seems I need to work on making hair abit more, I realize now how unrealistic it looks and his neck is big on purpose. He's an experiment of sorts, like a hybrid of a couple different animals and I wanted him to look alittle out of porportion. I'm glad you enjoyed it though!~

Pic 1: Awesome. The hair doesn't look quite as 3D as the rest, but I like it. !!
Pic 2: The fins on its neck look funny. Shade them or something? Otherwise, well done!
The sketches: Very good! Your anatomy is really spot on! My only nit picks are, for the first one, the hollow parts look like they're in the wrong place, although they probably aren't. Try and angle it differently? My second nitpick is, their eyes. I think you should work more on their eyes, and shade them, make them bigger?

Overall, you have talent! Well done, and I hope to see more!

Hi!

So, he's adorable! Is that GIMP you're using? Man, I respect you. I tried using that one time and my art ended up looking like puke. In fact, all of your drawings are cute. I think I like the style you're going for here!

64- I suppose I'd understand this more if I read your story, but why is his name on the nose? I'm assuming it's not natural, but still, the nose would be an odd place to put a tag. Maybe a leg or an arm would better.

Picture #1- Love it. Not quite sure what's it's supposed to represent or symbolize, though. The hair is a little bit coarse and distracting, though. Maybe you could make it shorter?

Picture #2- Lovely, but the neck feels like it's suppose to explode. Is that, hair or something? Or a part of his scales? Like Durrie said you may want to shade this section in.

You've got talent, so keep it up! PM me if you have any questions.

Thankyou! Yeah, I see what you mean. I guess putting in more details on the fins would probably make it look better. And the hair, well I'm just not experienced with hair at all XD So I was just guessing. So I see what you mean when it looks alittle 'blegh'.

Elinor --

The picture was ment to be a kindof concept, I was pretty much just experimenting but I see what you mean when it looks odd. I may just leave the 64 that's on his shoulder instead. But there is a reason that it's there, I just havn't gotten that far in the book yet. XD

Picture number 1 was actually from a game I played awhile ago. And that's what my character looked like. He was originally kindof a derranged character so I guess the long and nasty looking hair kindof represented that part of his personality.

It's actually supposed to be scales, but they do look alittle bit like tufts of hair.

Thanks for all the critiques guys. This really means alot to me ^.^
