Beautiful, Cres! I would say, just darken the lines and you're set! Maybe some colour too? I know people (or is it just me? "} ) usually stuff up with colour, but if you do it on the computer you can just 'undo'. The last one is my favourite! Nice shading!! I wish I could draw faces like you!
Luffly! Can't wait to see more! And 'like'!!

Aw! I love the first one. It's adorable. I'm not so keen on the second one, her head seems a little out of proportion with the reset of her body. The last one is very nice, I like your shading in her hat. She strikes me as a movie star of something diva-like, nice job on that one.Sorry if this is a bad review, I'm doing this from my phone and the keyboard is tiny and I hate using it. -Dreamy

Thanks :) I've actually tried colouring before on the computer but it hasn't worked well... Maybe you could give me instructions?

I've been trying to draw a picture a day. Do I post my pics in the same place or do I start a new forum?

That's entirely up to you!

Heya crescent 8)

I thought that your drawings were really sweet. I love anime, so yay! All of your drawings were really simple, but they were also really cute. My favourite drawing was definitely the first one. I think that the shading was quite good!

That is actually on of my nit-picks though; the shading. You don't seem to press hard enough with the pencil (Trust me, I know how you feel! I do the exact same thing). You have used some shading, I just think that you could do with a bit more, especially on the second picture. Although, I do like the shading on the faces and clothes in first picture!

Another small nit-pick I have is the hair. With anime especially, the hair gives life to the person you are drawing. It's a good idea to make the hair darker compared to the rest of the drawing. That way, you can make it more noticeable. The actual shape of the hair on your drawings is actually very good! I just think that the shading lacks slightly...

Overall, I really did like these. The first one was my favourite and the second one was probably my least favourite. You should definitely keep drawing!

picture 1 and 2

Red: Her nose is practically nonexistent. There needs to be a fine line, a distinct line, between the nose and the lip. If you look at yourself in the mirror sideways, I'm sure you have an 'upper lip' area where hair is an all that stuff...

Green: His chin and neck are too angular. I know it's an anime drawing, but loosen up a bit. And his neck needs to be more masculine, more... thick. Make his chin more like hers, just a bit more defined.

Yellow: He has chick eyes oh my goodness! If you see in normal anime drawings, the man's eyes, at profile, connect at the ends. He has chick eyes, meaning they are large and go down to his nose. In basic and common anime, guys eyes do not look like the girl eyes.

Orange: His ear is too high. When you draw, there are several lines you should automatically outline in your first draft: The lines matching the eyes length, the nose, the mouth, and the line going vertically down the center. The tip of the ear usually lines up with the eye, so watch for that.

I realize that you copied this from a picture, but the above are all common knowlegde of how anime and real faces actually look. Plus, don't always copy pictures! Draw your own characters! Moving on...

Picture 3

Orange: When eyes are at profile, they do not look like how you drew them. They look more like triangles, so watch out for that. Just keep drawing and you'll naturally get the hang of things, trust me. ;)

Green: Again, the chin and the jawline is too defined. Soften your edges by shading a bit. Use a cotton swab or a piece of tissue paper to shade (or your finger if you want to get lead on it, haha)

Red: Her hand... my goodness. It's way to small. Make sure that the hand matches the size of the face. If you measure your hand to your face, it's roughly around the same size... so yah.

I'm not doing any other advanced critiques because the others don't have as many things to point out as these two. In your last one... the boy is way to small compared to her. At least make his head and hands bigger, and you should be able to create an allusion that he's bigger.

You're a great artist! Keep it up!

Hi, crescent!

So, I really like these. I did want to make one note about your pictures as a whole. Why can I see parts of the table and the rings of your notebook in some pictures, but not others? It's alright if you don't have a scanner, but make sure that the viewer won't be able to tell.

#1 - I can't draw people kissing for the life of me. It ends up looking more like they're attacking each other. Besides, I think you captured the emotions of the girl and guy real nicely. The guy seem like he's genuinely surprised. It takes a lot to tell a story with one picture, so kudos to you for that.

#2 - Okay, and I like the way you've drawn her and her proportions, but what really bothers me is her lack of emotion. If she received a letter with a rose, it should mean something very special, ja? Even if we never know what's in the letter, you do, and you should convey that through her emotions! That way we will know what the letter said just by looking.

#3 - I really like the surreal yet realistic tone that this picture has. The shading on the hair and eyes is done really well, and her blank expression leaves me wondering what she's thinking. One thing I noticed was that her eyebrow seems a little small. Look in the mirror. Especially if you have an arch like she has, the tip of the brow will always be protruding to the side a little bit.

#4 - I don't know. I thought you did a job of capturing the picture really well, but the shading just seems a little off and blurry, like an out of focus picture. Besides, it kind of looks like she has a five o-clock shadow. I don't know if this was from too much erasing, but remember that you can always digitally erase all unwanted marks to make the image seem a lot cleaner. Otherwise, it's pretty good, but it just needs to be cleaned up a bit.

#5 - What can I say? This is simply adorable. I think you've captured vulnerability really well, and you've almost got me feeling sorry for this creature. One thing is that I can still see the notebook rings, and they're really distracting, but I mentioned that in the first part of the review.

#6 - I don't have anything to say, really. It's just as adorable as the previous one.

#7 - Okay, so I'm not really sure what to feel. This doesn't have the romantic feeling I think it's supposed to have. It looks more uncomfortable then sweet. Besides, I can't see any feature of the girl's face. It looks a little flat. I think you did a nice job of capturing the image, though!

So, you're a good artist and I really admire your talent. You just have a few kinks you need to work out, but hey, no one gets things perfect the very first time anyway. PM me if you have any questions.

Hey Cres! Loving this new work! Thanks for the PM!
On to the review!

1: This is awesome! I commend you! The only nitpick is that it looks like she doesn't have any feet. Maybe darken her shoes?
2: Nice! Very prettyful!! The petals at the top left-hand corner look a little too dark for the rest of them, but well done!
3: Nice! Not as good as the others, as it looks like the rabbit's ear is eating into its face.
4: Lovely! The limbs look a little too short for it, though, but well done!
5: Whooooo! I love it! But it looks like she doesn't have a face. Maybe work for some lips, some nose? Maybe rub a little of the jaw off so it looks more joined.

Very nice, Cres!! Whooo! Thanks again for the PM! I'll be looking for more, don't keep me waiting! ;)

Hmm, the last one (the tree kiss) is weird. I don't have any critique on the art of it, just the idea of it. How could he manage to hold on like that? I would probably fall on her...which would be kinda funny actually.
Anyways, I'd like to see some background in that one, since I don't know at what angle they are. Is she lying down or leaning back against the tree?

You've added more! :D

I really love the one of the girl on the swing. I seriously think that it's really good. I like the way you've drawn her clothes and drawn her hair. Also, I think that you've shaded it pretty well, so well done.

I'm not too sure about the last one though where there are two people kissing by a tree. I wasn't sure what it was at first, I had to look at it for a while to figure it out. Another thing I'm not too keen on in this picture is the girls hair. It looks a bit flat, to be honest.

I still really like these though!

Keep drawing,

xoxo Skins

Thanks Everyone.
Jen: That's what I thought too xP when I saw the picture online! I was like I wonder what would happen if the person fell, would the girl's neck break because she's right under him?
