Sasuke (anime)

Ok, it looks better in real life, but here it is.

Hello there! I just had a few comments.

I'm not really sure what I can say about this drawing, considering that I don't know what your intent was. The truth is that it's very messy. A few things I didn't like:

- The Eyes. Is it me or does he have three pupils? It kind of reminds me of those toxic waste signs. I know anime isn't the most realistic style of drawing, but it should at least look coherent.
- The shoulders/chest. Rather then an actual person, it sort of looks like a bust that's falling over. This is simply because you draw the chest very straightly. And even guy chest aren't straight-there's always a bit of natural, outward curve.
- The edge. I can see the table. I understand that you may not be able to afford a scanner, but you can still look for these things through the view-finder of the camera and crop them out before you post if you don't catch them earlier.

Hope this helps! Like I said earlier it's very rough and somewhat dry. I can see your talent, but there isn't anything that they really keeps my eye focused on this picture. For now I'm going to give it a 4 out of 10.

HARSH! :/ That's called the Sharingan; it's meant to look that way. It's a character from Naruto, and I say it's pretty near the real thing. Just needs a little refining.

What you're calling a "shoulder" is actually a part of his clothing, so nothing wrong there.

Yes, the edge puts me off too.

I agree, this is rather a wayward and messy work, especially with the shading of the hair, and the mouth looks like a thin line dividing the face into two portions, so I suggest shading the lip in a little. That should do the trick. Considering the drawing style present in Naruto, making the lower lip slightly visible is okay, too. The hair looks too stiff and the neck is a little too thin and straight. Try raising the eyebrows a little, make the eyelids more prominent, and the nostrils a bit closer together, because if not, this looks more like Orochimaru than Sasuke. XD

Oh yeah, the face is a little too thin; in both the anime and the manga, Sasuke looks a little plumper than that... so try shading in around the face and the neck lightly, too... Is this Shippuden? Then he should look a little more mature. :3

So there. Have fun drawing your next piece! It's not that bad, you only need a bit more practice before drawing faces in full size. Start by drawing in little, and then make it larger as your knowledge increases, so that it wouldn't look too awkward. That's how I got along with myself, too. Take my word for it.

And oh, if you're having trouble with shading (my problem, too :/) try releasing the tension from your drawing hand by taking a blank piece of paper and scribbling on it as hard as you please. You will be more relaxed as you draw later on. Also, draw with knowledge; what I mean is, know what you want to come out of your drawing even before you draw, so that you can save yourself from awkward angles and such... although I'm not sure I'm already good at that aspect, it still works nice from time to time. So visualize before you draw.

So there. I give you a 6/10, as opposed to the above reviewer, though. This deserves better. It's hard to draw, you know, dang it. XD ...No offense. Just good humour.

Thank you for the reviews. Like Winter said above it is sharingan so it's supposed to look llike that. I had to totally make it up as I went along to because in the picture that I printed it was so blurry that I couldn't even tell he had sharingan haha. Anyway I drew it with a led pencil so it is really messy, and it is from shippuden I just had to use his old eyes, because of the bad quality of the picture. Thank you for the reviews!

I draw with lead too, of course, mon cherie. Anyway, just remember to keep it neat next time.

First, I would like to say that you have a nice drawing there!
Second, I had a crush on Sasuke of Naruto before! (I am still an anime addict, you know)

So there are just some things that I've noticed:

1)Eyes- his eyes are equally okay but you slightly drew his eyebrows which of course, made it thinner than the actual thickness of Sasuke's eyebrow. Your Sharingan's cool but it looks like more of a dot than the real one.
2)Nose and Mouth- You need to make it thicker but not too thick.
3) Shading- I really didn't like the shading part (sorry), because it's supposed to be more a one-side reflection but there are shaded part everywhere! (if you know what I mean... you're confused...sorry. don't know how to really explain it. )

Overall: The drawing's fine.

Keep on drawing some more, in a way it could help you!

I really do like this picture.
I like the way you made him look like he's leaning in trying to look at something on our side of the screen. The facial expression truly fits Sasuke's personality. It is alittle messy but that can always be perfected later! Good Job!~
