Hey everyone, I've found this great website that compares over thousands of words that vary meaning between Britain and America. The "Slang" section was particularly amusing!

lol, some of them are funny. I remember when I was in California, we had just finished dinner and were about to go for a walk with our friend who had lived here for a year and another friend of hers. "Hang on, I'm just going to go grab a jumper," I said and the American friend literally spat out her drink and was like, "A WHAT?" It amuses me.

Haha thats awesome Ben!

I find it pretty interesting how different it is not only between England and the U.S, but the differant parts of U.S too.

Where I'm from everyone uses "Wicked". Like "Thats a wicked cool place!" Or "Thats wicked sick!" and if you go to like...say California or whatever, no one knows how to use it xD

My sister's friend tried to teach her cousins to use it properly and it didn't work

haha! Some of these are really funny...
Although, I'm from Britain and I haven't heard of a lot of them... but still!

It's even funnier for me, because where I come from, it's even more different to America and England.

I say things like:
I'll be there in a min! (I'll be there in a minute)
I need a cwtch (I need a hug)
All right baht? (How are you doing?)
What's occurin' (What's happening?)

I didn't know what to put here so I put this.

Off I go through the dark of night.

Maybe but not in the same sense?

We use it to say when something is good and cool or use it instead of really, you guys may use it to say like bad or horrible? Is that right? Or am I wrong?

Is it sad that I knew what "aggro" meant because of WoW?

This was an awesome time-waster. Good ol' Ben. xD
