(My first SB in a while. Wish me luck, and bear with me!)

Name: Monica Masters (a.k.a. Moni)

Gender: F

Age: 19

Picture:
Spoiler
Image

Personality: She likes to have fun - the childish kind. The kids love her. She's not much of a decision-maker, nor is she good at thinking of great ideas, but she is the first person that will volunteer to help. Away from kids, she's much more laidback/contained. But she always seems to be in a good mood, and she just wants everyone to be happy. She can find something humorous (whether cute or comical) in almost anything, and she's most definitely considered an optimistic person. Her knowledge in technology, higher-up math, and the sciences are very lacking, but she's got the creative juices for music and art, and her mind is always focused on having fun with whatever she does, whether she's good or not.

Her goal in life is to enjoy it. Her biggest fear is people not liking her or people laughing at her (rather than with).

Senior or Junior counselor: Senior

Likes:
Games: She much prefers outdoorsy games that require movement (she's definitely got the energy to burn), but she'll put up with video games if everyone's having fun!
Sports: Not very good at any of them except volleyball, but she does enjoy playing nonetheless!
Movies: Enjoys kid/family-friendly movies very much, but fast-moving, action-packed movies are pretty awesome too.
If I could be anywhere, I would be...: Here, playing with the kids!

Dislikes: Bugs that refuse to leave her alone, people who purposefully bum everyone out with some sort of sob story about themselves (or digging for sympathy)

Favorites:
Color: Yellow (It's a happy color!)
Animal: Squirrels (They're always so hyperactive!)
Season: Spring!
Food: Brownies and Mac & Cheese
Clothing Item: Sunglasses (Has five pairs and counting!)

Talents: She plays flute and a little piano; she's working on her singing; she also bakes and gardens. However, she refuses to boast or even mention she can do these things. She sets the bar too high for herself, so as far as she knows, she doesn't have talent in these areas at all.

History: She grew up well for a kid nowadays. The only hardship she's had is her father, who is always strict with her about the rules, her actions, her behavior, and overall how whimpy she can be. And yet her mother is kind-hearted and as enjoyable to be with as Monica. Her dad's always up to snuff with sports and politics, so she gets her full of it just by listening to his rants. However, she knows she doesn't have it bad at all, and that's why she always seems to be happy with life anyway. Her dad is also why she's afraid of people not liking her: She doesn't want to be treated as negatively as her dad has done when raising her.

Up for Love: Well, she's single. She'll be stubborn about starting a relationship since she never thinks about a relation beyond friendship.

Other: She's partially deaf in one ear. She has trouble hearing whispers, and her lip-reading is awful.

Alright, I'm hoping if we start, more people will join, so here we go!

[Rose Williams]

Week one, 10:00 AM, Staff meeting day 1

I walked into the small Park and Rec building with a smile on my face. This was my favorite part of the year - summer camp. Working it was more fun than going to it. So many different kinds of people, so many kids, so many activities. Summers while working at the camp were fun, exciting, and most of all, time-consuming.

I walked over to my boss, Sandy, and gave her a hug. Sandy was like one of the children, and she liked to treat her employees like friends.

"Rose! I hope you're ready to help out the new counselors."

I smiled, it was so great she depended on me. "Of course. Who's my junior?"

She looked down at her clip board. "Lucas Riley. He likes to be called Luke."

Then, behind me, the door opened and all the other leaders started piling in. I smiled; they looked promising. Hopefully we would be able to put together another amazing year of camp.

[Once everyone introduces themselves, I will control the boss, Sandy, and we will begin training. :)]

PS, see the first post to find out who your partner is. If you don't want them as your partner or you want a specific person, post in the discussion thread.

Monica Miller

I bounded into the room, a huge grin on my face. This year's camp was going to be amazing; I just knew it! Memories of last year poured into my mind, overwhelming me with so much energy and excitement.

"Oh, my goodness! It's Sandy!" I squealed, throwing my arms out, and I ran over to her.

"Moni! Haha, awesome to see you back here!" I jumped on her in a hug then bounced back beside her. Sandy flipped through the clipboard in her hands and marked Monica as present.

"Rose! I how've you been? I've missed you! Last year was, like, a blast." Rose's smile was sufficient a response for me. I clasped my hands together, bouncing on my toes. "Oh, Sandy! Do I get a junior bee-eff-eff? I'm so excited." A final squeal made Sandy laugh again.

"Yes, you're paired with Thomas Lane! He's probably in here somewhere..." Her voice trailed off as she looked around in the crowd. "Ah! There he is." She pointed in the direction.

"Fantastic!" I scurried over to the guy she pointed too and gave him a huge smile, showing quite a lot of teeth. "Hi, Thomas Lane! I'm Moni. Such a pleasure to meet you!"

Luke Riley

I walked in, somewhat confused at the situation of a older girl jumping up and down as if she'd found a love for cotton candy, but I dismissed it as an act of excitement. I walked further into the room, not entirely knowing what I should be doing, so I simply decided to waltz up to the lovely looking lady with the clipboard. I mean, after all, if you have an issue, the one with the clipboard always knows how to sort it right? Definitely, I assured myself.

I looked at the lady, wide-eyed and noticed she was wearing a clear name badge with Sandy scribbled on there in friendly handwriting. Must be a friendly person then, I assumed. She looked at me and said, "Ah! Look isn't it? Pleasure to meet you! How are you?"

I grinned, looks like my names gets around! "Hey there," I bemused at my own joke, "Luke's me, pleasure's naturally all mine and I'm mighty dandy thankyou, your wonderful self?"

Sandy seemed impressed with the long introduction and let out a little laugh. "Why, I'm doing alright thankyou! I've paired you up with the Senior, Rose, over there, look."

I looked down her arm where she was pointing almost comically and laughed. "Right'o, I best go introduce myself then!"

Sandy laughed as I walked confidently over to Rose. First impressions? She was cute, which usually meant friendly, so t'was all ticked boxes so far. I thought a lot as I walked, some might say it was a good thing, others might regard it as a simple self doubt, all the same it's what made me, me.

"Boo!" I yelled and the room instantly went silent apart from the one cotton candy girl who still seemed might excited. Rose stared at me as if I'd just done some circus tricks or something. "Did it scare ya?" I asked, laughing.

Bonnie

I pull up at the camp, about thirty minutes late, in my yellow bug. It has flowers painted on the side, curtosy of my friend Alison. I run into the meeting room.

I spy Thomas standing near another girl. Her red bown hair is shining in the light from the overhanging lights.

"Tom!" I yell, running up to him.

"Hey Bon!" He says. I laugh.

"I totally didn't expect to see you here!" I say sarcastically.

"You two know each other?" The girl asks. Me and Tom both laugh.

"Si!" I say, laughing some more. A guy comes up to me.

"Uh, I'm Chris. Are you Bonnie?" He asks.

"Yeah, how'd you know?" I ask.

"A bird told me you'd be the one who was late." He says, pointingly glancing at Tom. Traitor! I ddin't need a reputation for being late first day. Usually it took me two days to develop that reputation. I frown at Tom. He laughs.

"So your th big offical senior person thingy I am working with?" I ask.

"Yeah." He says with a smile. This was going to be great!

This is my first one, so here goes!

Matthew Blenkinsop
Age:20
Occupation: He is the caretaker at the camp, and has been for two years.
Description: He seems to have a permanant frown on his face as he hates his job, but he cannot get another because he failed everything at his school. He wears a big, round pair of specticles, a battered, old janitors coat and a pair of scratty jeans. His hair is short and always brushed to the side. His eyes, which are of the deepest blue, are always darting around, as if he his up to something.
Protagonist or antagonist: ?

When are we starting?
"Madness rides the Star wind"

HP Lovecraft. Ironic, no?

Classy! *runs in panting* *does puppy eyes to join*

Name: Melissa Jones

Gender:Female

Age: (16-22) 18

Picture:
Spoiler
Image Image

Personality: Melissa is a very passionate person, about almost everything in her life. Once she falls for something, it's a huge fall. She's very compassionate, has a very good sense of right and wrong (though there are still shades of grey). She's a great friend, loyal and trust worthy, a shoulder to cry on. She might seem like the good girl on a first assumption, but she does what she feels like and what she wants. When she's mad, boy you don't want to see it. She is also a fan of shouting when mad or frustrated. Mel is also very strong minded, and won't break easily. She is very sweet to the kids and she assumes the role of an older sister when it comes to them. She is especially good with those between the ages of four and nine; the kids love her.

Senior or Junior counselor: Senior

Likes: She is a very active person, so she likes most sports, though she's won't train them and isn't very good at any particular. She has a big passion for music ever since she was a little girl; her mother taught her how to play the piano since she was three, and now she's a master of it. She is also a sweet tooth. She is very fun to be around, so she likes to play around and sometimes act childish. Though, those times are chosen well.

Movies/music: She likes pop rock, R'n'B, rock, oldies. As for movies, dramas and comedies are her thing. 'Gladiator' makes her tear up every time.

Dislikes: Liars, fakers, posers. As she gives very importance to her friends, she has been betrayed quite a few number of times and she decided not to stand it any longer. Rudeness is not on her good side either, but she'll answer to it. Thunder, natural catastrophes, animals with big teeth.

Favorites:
Smell: jasmine.
Flavour: Caramel.
Snack: Fudge and Doritos. Separate.
Colour: Purple, blue, grey, black and brown.
Animal: Dogs. With small teeth.
Season: Fall.

Talents: Mel is very comforting, which means she has a way with words, that manage to comfort and give hope to those that are sad. Her talent with music is known, with the piano and her voice, though she avoids playing with other than herself listening; she doesn't like audiences.

History: Mel went to this same camp when she was little, two summers, and decided to come back and work for it later. It was a good way to spend the summer and have a good time. She grew up normally, with no accidents, explosions or tragic deaths in her family. She has an older brother, and only her grandparents from her dad's side are dead.

Up for Love: Yes.

Other: She has a scar on her right forearm, that goes from her wrist to the start of her elbow. The way she got it is a secret she doesn't tell easily.

(Oh, I didn't see that. Thanks.)

Thomas:

Bonnie waved and walked away with Chris. I laughed and turned back to Moni "So what sports did you say you like?"

(Sorry it's short, I'm being kicked off.)

I walked into the room slowly, observing the people I would be spending the summer with. Hiding behind my bangs, I slowly made my way towards Sandy, introducing myself.

"Hi, Faith!" She spoke with excitement, than looked down at her clipboard. She frowned, "Oh, dear. It seems we have a slight problem, you haven't been matched up with a senior counselor yet." I frowned, of course this would only happen to me. What was I supposed to do now? "Don't worry, I'm sure we can get things in order in no time. Just hang tight." I nodded and walked to the edge of the room, once again observing the others.

Everyone seemed to fit in nicely here,
I thought. Why did I even bother to sign up for this?
