I like that, but how about Eighth take the throne and the Shadows settle into their new kingdom first? Then, since they're in control, they can send civilians out to fight, just to weaken the good guys. Then, later on, we can have the actual fight. That way, if the bad guys win it will make sense, and if the good guys win it'll be surprising.

Ok, so here's a small exert:

'"Wow, you know? I love fairies! They fly and are magical!" Ruth said happily, holding her new fairy book close to her heart. "What do you think Kacela?"
"Kacela?"
"Kace?"
"Huh?" I said, coming back to reality.
"What do you think about faries?"
I sighed, looking around casually. "Faires are demons, becuase they are not us. The are abnormally colored, and no intelligent being should be able to fly with mechanical assistance. It's just not normal, it's strange, so it must be evil." After half a moment, I looked up at Ruth, to be met with wide-eyes and a hanging mouth. "I mean, ya, they're awsome!" I said half heartedly through half-clenched teeth. She seemed to accept that. She went babling on about fairys as I barly listened. She didn't know the truth.'
