I think it's a good idea. Just short little interactions with everybody before they die. Cool. What if an Elder started on the mission with us, but is the first killed?

Is it just me, or are the plot bunnies taking advantage of my ADD?
I need some help. Ok, in the storybook. I'm hoplessly confused. I need some help to know whats going on, because I can't post if I don't know what's going on. Please help?

Alright! Eight's (one of the lead ghost dragon riders) dad is the king of a different kingdom. She just killed him and will rise to take the throne. Therefore, the Shadow riders will control that kingdom. The Shadow riders are currently laying low in the mountains, waiting for the word to spread that the throne is open. Then Eight, technically the rightful heir will step up. Basically, all the good guys have been hanging out and having a good time, but their elders have just called a meeting. I'm assuming it's to discuss the death of the other kingdom's king. Sooner or later, there will be a fight. For now, The Shadows control/ are about to control Shlarlowr's opposing kingdom. The good guys are being filled in by the elders. Within that there's been some character development, but not much else.
Dreamy said it all. Although, I, myself, don't actually know what the meeting will be about yet. Obviously, it would talk about the King dying, but that has only jsut happened. Anyways... I'm off. Later guys.

I was thinking, the Elders will say that the king was killed, the shadow riders were in charge, and might be planning to take out the good guy riders. They tell people to be prepared to leave, or fight if it comes to it.
Then, um, the Shadow Riders attack and we high-tail it out of there? We make it out with a couple other people, (so we can have some people die ) and we decide we have to get rid of the Shadow Riders.
Or something.

Yeah, we should have the meeting and get told that.. It sounds like a good idea.. Then maybe one of the bad guys can move it forward a week? And us good guys have been training the whole time?
