So many male characters!

Name: Bailey Hart
Age(15-18): 16 (first year)
Gender: female
Appearance:
Spoiler
Image
But not as creepy wide-eyed as her. xD

Personality: Baily is exciting and hyperactive. She loves to run around and talk to people and dance. She likes to be friends with everyone.
Power strength: Bailey is completely unaware of her powers. She doesn't know why she's at this school. She will take a while to come into her powers, but her quick thinking abilities keep her going until they do appear.
Other: up for love

Name: Haven Jamison
Age(15-18): 18 (second year)
Gender: female
Appearance:
Spoiler
Image

Personality: Haven is still a happy and normal person, but has her own bit of strangeness. She plays the guitar, and absolutely adores it. She tends to carry an acoustic guitar with her at all times.
Power strength: Haven has relatively strong telekenetic powers, but everything else is considerably weak.
Other: up for love

I'm joining! :D

Name: Kara Hutchin
Age(15-18): 16, first year.
Gender: Female
Appearance: She's slim and has light brown hair that falls to her shoulders in loose waves. Her eyes are green. She's of average height and normally wears jeans and a t-shirt. Most of her clothes are old and worn because she's the youngest of six girls, and gets a LOT of hand-me-downs.
Personality: She's a cheery person, but she's mute. The fact that she can't speak can bring her down a lot, but she tries to distract herself from that by throwing herself into work. She's embarrassed by her inability to talk and is pretty anti-social. She does use sign language.
Power strength: Strong, but when she uses it it drains a lot of energy.
Other: Up for love.

I've never really done a Storybook like this so, why not try something new?
There seems to be an even amount of guys and girls now, so is it okay if I do a guys profile?

Name: Joseph (Joe) Prickard

Age: 17 (Second year)

Gender: Male

Appearance:
Spoiler
Image

Personality: Joe is an annoyingly cocky guy. He thinks that every single girl and guy fancies him, although a lot of them do. He tends to trick people, making them think that he's always right. He loves having a good time and he doesn't really take anything seriously. He loves scaring the new students, especially when he can use his powers to do so. Joe is a complex character. Throughout the storybook, you'll learn to understand why he behaves like he does.

Power strength: Hmmm... I can't really say strong or weak. More strong I suppose. But it takes him a while to use his power at its best.

Other: Up for love, both guys and girls.

((Ay, when are we starting this? Oh, and if we can state the power, I want it to be power to talk to animals (Tashi) and spell caster-like the whole book of spells thing- (Nathan) ))

We'll start now! :) Anyone who's saved a spot can still join (Apple, feel free to join though you can have a male or female character) And also, about the power, you don't have a "set" power. xD Sorry if I wasn't clear enough.

Basically it's like you're a spellcaster without the spells. You work the magic with your mind and you can use the things around you. For instance, you can make a forcefeild around you or something like that. Only the people who have strong magic can work the magic without really trying to. But remember, they aren't the brightest crayon in the box. xD While the intelligent ones have to work with their powers more.

For second years: You have matured more than first years. Both your power and mind strength are strong. Though, the one you have the most trouble with yet, isn't at it's peak. The challenges are to make you stronger. (;

Does that make sense? Well, any questions, go to the DT and we'll sort them out. :) Anyone can start if they'd like. I'd like to start with the firsts years at school and the second years watching or doing their own thing.

Have fun! I'll post very soon!

Nathan:
I stepped out of the train and pulled my bag up higher on my arm.
" So this is the school, aye?" I turned to Tashi and raised an eyebrow at her, she smiled back at me and took me by the hand.
" I guess so," she squealed. " Oh, this is going to be so much fun." I nodded and took off towards the school. It was huge and a bit scary looking. Intimidating even. We started towards the great dining hall where the first years were said to gather.
" Come on, bro," Tashi yelled," it should be right down this- Ow!" I reeled back and fell down when Tashi suddenly lunged backwards. I looked up at the person she ran into and smiled weakly.
" You'd have to forgive my sis, she really doesn't watch where she's going."

BRIAN

"Hey," he said, laughing, and helping the girl up. "It's alright. I guess we're all a little pumped to get to school then."

Brian frowned. He wasn't sure if he was actually pumped. Maybe a little, but this school made him...wary. He had earned a scholarship here but his grades were terrible. He wasn't smart and he didn't earn his scholarship from baseball either. Although, he would be playing it here. That was for sure. The principal, when he had met him at open house, had only said that he was special. Creep old man, but a good enough guy.

So here he was.

"I'm Brian, by the way," he said, turning his attention to the guy and girl in front of him. "Who're you two?"

Kara

She hoisted her backpack into a more comfortable position, stepping off the train. She made sure that her notepad and pencil were still in the back pocket of her jeans, then sighed. Her jeans were at least one size too big and had a good-sized rip in one of the knees, and her tie-dye t-shirt was worn and faded. Her tennis shoes which had to have been white at some point were brown-ish gray, and probably also a couple sizes too large. Her hair hung loose around her shoulders. She looked around with a sigh. Great. New school meant strange people. People who would stare when she used sign language or wrote notes and pictures instead of speaking. And most of those people would make fun of her. They'd laugh and call her names. It was always the same in every school...

IVY

She looked around, nervously. She was excited to be away from home. Being at home meant cleaning up after drunken mothers and depressed fathers who couldn't spare a minute to ask how you were.

Ivy sighed. She was being too hard on her dad. He worked so much to keep the family going. He made a good amount of money too, even after mom drank her way through half of it. They were both miserable.

She bushed against a nervous looking girl who looked at her apologetically.

"Sorry," she laughed. "Are you new here too?"

The girl nodded, shyly and apprehensively. Ivy smiled at her.

"Yeah. Well it's an odd place but I think I'll enjoy myself. I'm Ivy by the way. Who are you?"

My lips curved upwards into a small, pleasured grin. With any luck, this year would be even better than last year. I couldn't wait to freak out all of the newbies, that would definitely be enjoyable. Proudly stepping off the train, I lifted my leather bag over my shoulder.

I could already see a load of newbies getting off the train. Still grinning, I headed towards two girls who were standing next to each other. Pretty nice faces too, and even nicer chests. I could see them glancing at me as I neared them.

"Don't expect to ever get back on that train," I winked at them as I passed.

Without giving them any time to say another word, I continued walking. I couldn't help but laugh to myself as I heard them speaking to each other rather hastily behind me. I smiled once more, This is going to be fun.

Kara

Kara grimaced. Wonderful, people were wanting her to talk already. She signed her name in the air. "K-A-R-A".

Ivy gave her a very confused look, and Kara sighed. She pulled her notepad out of her pocket and started writing. "My name is Kara." She handed the paper to her. Lord she hated being mute.

David:

Ah, what a great day to start the new school year. Stepping down off the train I glanced both ways and saw tons of other students stepping off the train. Most of them looked like Freshies, but some of the kids I remembered from last year were getting off the train as well. Most of them looked strange like they had by the end of last year, but a few of them had smiles planted on there face and looked pretty normal. Spotting what appeared to be a newbie coming off the train I flipped my bag over my shoulder with ease and walked over to him.

"whats up?"

"err, hey," he replied.

"What's your name?"

"Oh, that's Giovanni and I'm Jezebel," A girl called from back in the train.

"I'm David, nice to meet you. "

"You to, Jez said.

"Well I've gotta go check out some of the other freshies. Bye." I said quickly striding off down the side walk.

Tashi:
I rubbed my head and smiled. Brian, he said his name was.
" My name's Tashi," I chirped, my pain instantly forgotten. " And that's my brother-"
" Nathan," he said, inturrpting me. I scowled at him and then fixed the giant purple polka dotted bow I had in my head.
" Nice to meet you two then," he said.
" Same here," I said again. We started back towards the dining hall.
" Are you new here," Nathan asked after ruffling his hair a bit.
" Yeah, I'm a first year. This place is amazing, right?" I twirled around twice.
" Oh, absolutely," I sighed," living here is going to be so much fun!" Lance pushed through the doors of the dining hall and a rush of aromas hit us hard.
" It smells fanatastic," Brain breathed. " Makes me hungry." I went to go sit down on one of the long tables, grabbing a piece of bread.

I strolled casually into the dining hall. There were seven long, wooden tables placed in the grand room. Each one had rows of teenagers sitting down beside them. I couldn't help but head for a table full of newbiees.

I loved being here, being away from my house, my father. The more time I spent away from him, the better. It always worried me though, being away from home. I hated the thought of leaving my mother with him, no one looking after her.

Shaking the thought out of my head, I cheerfully sat down on the newbiee table. They all turned to face me as I sat down... kinda creepy.

"Yo guys," I winked. "You all new?"

A few of them looked as though they wanted to speak, but they didn't dare open their mouths. Eventually, one of the guys spoke.

"Yeah," He said. "You?"

"Nah," I shrugged. "Second year."

All of the kids looked interested now. I'd only been here for an hour and I was already having fun.

"So, what's it like here?" The boy asked. "I'm Brian, by the way."

"Well," I grinned.

This was my chance. I was going to freak these guys out.
I didn't know what to put here so I put this.

Be careful, DayDreams, Jezabel wouldn't have been so nice as to reply "You too." She actually would have more likely looked at the statement as a chance to insult someone.

Jezabel

I saunter off the train into the crowd of students.

David was friendly and down to earth. I knew it the second I saw him. The seond I heard that over confident happpy-go-lucky sunshine voice. I shuddered. I didn't like it.

I scan the new commers. I see people I knew from last year, and the year before that. I wonder if any of them would go through my first task. Tou walk into what looks like yor first period class, but then you find yourself In the middle of a maze of mirriors. I had recognized what was going on imediately. I had simply gone through the maze, somewhat confused, and walked to my next class. But out of anger, on the way out, I had punched through the nearest mirror. That was when I figured out it was shatter proof. My hand got stuck when I punched clean through it. Thankfully, a guy had helped me out of it, but I hadn't seen him...yet.

I finally spot him, Joseph. He's about to harass, or scare the crap out of, some new kids. I lean against a pillar to watch. He makes a little water bubble in the air, then turns it to toxic acid and puts it on the table. As if alive, it starts to roll around and chase the newbies. A couple girls scream and get up from the table. I crack a small smile.

"It'll work best if you gave it wings." I tell him, and make the little acid ball grow to black wings. Joe grins as it begins to fly around the room.

"Nice." He says.

"That's my job." I reply with the usual biting edge to my voice back.
