Hannah wrote:Have you ever read East of Eden by Steinbeck? It has been one of my favorite books, but I kind of don't remember it, so I'm re-reading it. I think it's great if you like books really centered around characters and their experiences (which I think you do, since that's what you said you like to write about), and it's LONG and FULL of lives (I think it spans at least three generations).

In any case, welcome to YWS and I hope to see you around! PM me if you need anything (like a review! ;D)!

Awesome! Yeah I have heard about East of Eden and I want to read it. I haven't read it yet though. I'm currently reading any short story I can get my hands on. I'm reading from authors like Nathaniel Hawthorne to more modern writers like Tobias Wolff or John Carver.

Thank you so much for the welcome :smt003

You need something reviewed? I'm your man! PM me the link to your piece and I'd be more than happy to read it and give a good review. I read other fiction and poetry.

Ooooh, She and Him. I like indie music also, but she and him are the only ones I recognised out of your list =o (mind you, I've only just gotten into the genre)
I loved in Bruges, and want to see Donnie darko. =D
Welcome to YWS, hope you have fun here.

It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.
