Only recently I discovered the Pon and Zi artwork (surprisingly, through a little picture of Mo's) but I quickly fell in love.
Granted, my work will not be half as good as Azuzephre's (the original artist) but I tried. Pon is a much brighter yellow than he is in the other art, but I like him that way.

This one was my first, and it was uncolored.

So tell me what you think. Can I improve them? Should I have made shadows on the ground, or left it white?

Aww. These are so very cute. I live Pon and Zi. The cute-sy handwriting works very well.

My only nit-pick will be on the last one. Pon seems to be a bit weirdly shaped, if you ask me. And; I'm not sure what, but his eyes seem empty. It's a weird way of putting it, but I hope you get my drift. If not, PM me.

Anyway, good job. Keep drawing.
Cheers,

Great pictures! These are absolutely amazing! And quite cute too. You've drawn their features great and the colours are brilliant! The one thing that is annoying me though, is the way it looks like you've rushed the colouring in with the pen. it looks mucky too, i suggest you should colour in crayons instead. it would look neater too.
Keep up the good work!

Lava: thanks! His eyes are empty because...well, I don't know why the original artist did that. But that's the way they are. It's strange that you pointed it out in only the last one; all except the second have empty white eyes.

Carly: Yes, the color is mucky. It was purposeful, of course, in all except the second one. I have a limited number of felt-tipped pens (crayons are nice too) and I tried yellow+brown, yellow+grey and a number of other combination in trying to get Pon the right shade of yellow. In the end, I dumped the effort and went bright yellow.

Hey there :)

I loved these! I adore Pon and Zi and I think you had some really cute drawings here. I actually like the "muckiness" of them. It makes them more unique.

My favourite, by miles, was the last one! I loooved it! It was really colourful and very, very pretty!

I'll definitely be looking out for more of your stuff!

Jenthura!

I loved these. They're positively adorable, and I loved the little captions in the pictures, but the text seems kind of hard to read, perhaps you could type them? Also the shading seems a little rough, but it's pretty good for shading with markers. Over all, you're a fantastic artist.

PM me if you post anything new, okay?

Skins: Thanks! The last was actually my favorite too.

Elinor. PM? Sure thing! The text was purposefully that way, since the originals were sort of that way. It adds some flair, no?

Hey Jenth!

Well, I didn't mean empty in that sense. I meant that in all the others, the eyes brought out something even if they weren't filled in, but in this, it's more like emotionally empty. (Arrgh, it's tough trying to explain myself.) Anyway, what I mean, the shape of it doesn't suggest the happy-dream feeling.

Forget it, if you don't understand me. : )

Ahh, I understand what you mean. I wanted his eyes wide-open, as if staring at what he's seeing, as if he's trippin'.

I absolutely love these! I actually drew some myself a while back, but yours are way better!

Anyway, I love the fact that they aren't exactly the same as the originals, you bring a lot of your own style into them, and that adds a lot of depth to their character. I like their colours too, they really stand out, and are different!

One criticism - you point the chins a little too much, try curving them a bit, because otherwise they'll start looking like birds with funny beaks!! :P Hee hee

So, great work!

I've been told that they look like birds, but I just can't seem to get it through my thick skull. :) I'll work on that, though.
