Okay! I suppose we can start this and get a few more to join later.

Ariadne

The view from Annecy was anything unlike Ariadne had ever seen. She loved the quiet, peaceful and picturesque tone of the place, vastly preferring it to Paris, cramped and crowded. Ariadne had just gotten off the plane and had been given instructions to get the Olympic Village. She exited the building. It was nice outside, cool, but not freezing.

And it absolutely crowded, more so then Ariadne could have ever imagined. She knew it would be crowded, but wow. There were athletes from all over the world, tourists, and news reporters-it was hard to pick out the actual residents. Ariadne could barely move, but she was finally able to inch her way into a taxi.

"Olympic Village, please," she said to the driver, and she was off.

Quincy

"Ooh, there's that Williams kid," Quincy's father said, peering out of the hotel window with a pair of binoculars. "Do you think we'd get caught if we fiddled with her skates before the competition?"

"Definitely," Quincy said, turning the page of his Spiderman comic book. He absentmindedly wiped the back of his hand across his nose. Something in the hotel was making his allergies act up again. Or maybe he was just allergic to his father.

"Come over here and look at all of these people! It's amazing!" His father turned to look at him, grinning widely. The binoculars had left circles around his eyes.

"Mhm," Quincy muttered, turning another page.

"Fine." His dad tossed the binoculars on the bed, abruptly disgusted. He stormed to the door. "I'm going out to check out the competition. Sit here and wipe your nose if you want to."

Codii~

I turned my head around to see people entering into the large hotel. I couldn't help but grin, 'This is what you came here for.' I thought anxiously eating into the bagel I had bought outside the hotel.

The streets were rather busy here, not like those of Sweden at this time of year, though they were still managing to give me a head ache with all the exhaust and bleeping of horns rining out in the roads.

The soft music coming from a small steroe on the roof, made me rather tired. Blinking I tried to shake myself out of it. I couldn't fall asleep! I had to watch the competition, like a hawk. Just the way Mum had instructed me.

"Know your enemy!" I quoted placing the last bit of bagel into my mouth.

Natasha:

There were so many people. I leaned on the balcony rail, watching the crowd flooding into the hotel. I could feel the excitement in the air, carved it even.

Grinning, I turned back to my friend, Sarah, who was sitting on the bed.

"Isn't this amazing?" I asked. She smiled at me.

"Yeah, it's cool," she said and then went back to reading her book.

I sighed and leaned back against the railing, staring up at the sky. I wonder what kind of competition I'll have, I thought, smiling to myself.

I watched as we touched down on the ground. I was away from my home, my friends, my family, but I would be okay. I would do great in the Olympics. I would help win a medal for my home, for Germany.

I got off the plane and went inside the airport, a breeze ruffling my blond hair. I quickly grabbed my bag from the bag "carousel" and stepped outside. I quickly halted a taxi and asked for the man to take me to the Olympic Village. Except I had asked him in German, which wasn't the best. I quickly told him in my best French. My accent was still heavy, but apparently he figured out where I meant.

Ariadne

"Merci," she said quietly as she exited the car, handing the taxi driver the money she owed him for the ride.

The Olympic Village looked fantastic. It wasn't so crowded that you could barely move, so Ariadne had to admire the bustle. There were several hotels and a few crowded restaurants with athletes walking in and out.

"Je suis à la maison," she whispered. I'm home.

Looking at the pamphlet she had been given, Ariadne saw that she was in hotel C, which was smack in the middle of the village. It looked like a nice place. It obviously wasn't anything of the five-star type, but Ariadne still figured that she would be comfortable.

She was right. The place had a cozy feel to it, with grey carpet, wide windows and simple wooden furniture. She was in room 105, which was just down the hall from the front desk. She unpacked her stuff and flopped down on her bed, tired as heck.

Angelika

I sighed as I laid down on my bed. It was cozy here, and I was very comfortable. But I didn't think I would ever be ready for the competition. I had already glimpsed a few other skiiers. Not that they were Alpine, I couldn't tell for sure.

I quickly opened my suitcase and took out the framed picture. I set it on my bedside table and sighed again. "Mutter" I whispered as I looked at the beautiful picture of my mother. Her blond hair was curly, unlike mine which was completely straight. Her blue eyes shone from the photograph and I couldn't help feel tears prick my eyes when I saw my vaters arm around her.

I missed them so much. But I should have gotten over that by now, I had been away on several competitions before. But they were always there, I thought. It was true. They had always been there. But they weren't this time. Die GroBmutter had just passed away, and they couldn't be here with me.

I slowly stood up and walked to the door. I opened it and went out into the hall. I might as well make some new freunde while I was here, at least before the competition started.

Quincy

Yawning, Quincy tossed his book down on the bed and stood. His father had a five minute head start - hopefully he wouldn't run into him if he did a little exploring. He grabbed his room key and opened the door, wondering if the hotel had a library.

He immediately ran right into a girl who had been walking down the hallway. His glasses flew off and they both toppled to the floor, swearing.

"Watch where you're going!" Quincy said, scrambling to his feet.

The girl glared up at him, rubbing her elbow. She had straight blond hair and pretty blue eyes. "You ran into me!"

The door across the hallway opened and another girl looked out. "What's going on?" she asked in a thick German accent.

Hey Magnus, did Quincy run into Angelika or did Angelika open the door? She has blond hair and blue eyes, but she also has a German accent. So I wasn't sure...XD

He ran into Elinor's character, I think. Your character opened the door.

Angelika

"Was ist lous hier?" I yelled, thrusting open the door. I quickly corrected myself in English. "What is going on here?"

I looked in the hall outside my room to see a nerdy guy wiping his nose on the back of his hand and a girl with blond hair and stormy blue eyes.

"She ran into me!" The nerdy boy complained. He sniffed and pushed his glasses back onto the bridge of his nose.

The girl said something in French that I couldn't understand, partly probably because it was under her breath. But it sounded to me a lot like she cussed.

"Well, I think you ran into each other," I corrected, and smiled. "I'm Angelika, but you can call me Angel." I extended a hand to the boy and he took it, shaking it.

"I'm Quincy."

"I'm Ariadne." The girl spoke in English, a french accent covering most of it up.

"So what do you guys do?" I asked polietly.

"I ski," Ariadne said, smirking.

"Oh? Ich auch!" I exclaimed. Ariadne raised her eyebrow. "I mean, uh, Moi aussi?" She nodded in reply.

"I skate," Quincy looked at us oddly. He was most definitely an American.

"Speed skate?"

"Yep."

"Nice," I said. "So, Ariadne, I do Alpine Skiing. Do you do a specific kind of skiing?"

Natasha:

After Sarah left, I heard something out in the hall and opened my door. A nerd boy was standing in the middle of the hall along with some blond chick and another girl who had opened her door.

"Um, what happened?" I asked. The trio looked towards me.

"We ran into each other," the blond girl said and then started laughing. This one had a French accent.

"O-kay..."

"What sport do you do?" The boy asked.

"I'm Natasha and I ski," I told them.

"We ski too. He skates," the other girl said. She had a German accent. "I'm Angelika, by the way. This is Quincy." She indicated the boy. "And that is Ariadne." She pointed towards the other girl.

"Oh," I said and stepped out into the hall. "Alpine?"

Angelika nodded and I grinned. So this was my competition...

Angelika

"So we should be racing against each other then?" This girl didn't look so tough, I mean, come on. I had skiied all my life.

"I guess so," she replied, grinning.

We stood in silence for a moment. "Hmm, I was going to go get something to eat. You guys want to come?" I asked, breaking the ice.

"Sure!" they all said, and we set off on a hunt for some food other than airplane peanuts.
