Antoine sighed, held the crystal and pictured the small appartement building in his mind. There was a flash of dark purple and he opened his eyes, he was standing among the rubble of his appartment room where a loud grunting noise came from the bedroom.

"The beast's in your bedroom? " Seres asked looking around the place. There were chunks of plaster littered around the floor. The ceiling was covered up with a tarp that was partly open. "What happened here?"
"Every time it swallows flesh and blood it grows stronger." he sighed, his eyes were dark and the dark circles told anyone who looked at him that he hadn't slept in weeks.

"A stone of dreams, or any other light-powered stone." he responded quietly, trying not to alert the beast that was scenting a limb that lay on the ground.

He found the compass that Wolf had given him and studied it in the dim light. I can channel Elaragnia's power through this and it should destroy the beast. "Will this work," he asked, showing the compass to Antoine.
Antoine took it in his hand before he froze a bit, his mind reeling before he frowned. "Was something transported in this device?" he asked, eyes black again.

"An energy? There shouldn't be any energy still in there. Are you sure you're not sensing the remnants of an energy?" Seres asked, glancing towards the bedroom.
"For what I can tell, it's not a remnant of energy." he shrugged, "However, I've been sensing a great deal of things lately." he murmured, before turning towards the bedroom. "Use what you must, I shall help with my own magic which will of course need it's payment in blood." and with that he didn't explain further as he took a knife from under his shirt that was tucked into his pants, and drew it down the length of his forearm and let the crimson liquid fall to the ground. "Ready?"

Does this mean that Elaragnia's energy is in the compass? "Yes," he said and took back the compass. He closed his eyes and reached out to the multiverse. "Elaragnia ma nera voima," he murmered and the compass began to glow. The needle spun around until it pointed to the bedroom. He could feel the power flowing through it and him. He felt his soul start to unravel. "On three?" he asked; it was getting harder to breathe and he hoped that it would only take a couple of minutes.
"On three." he agreed, and with that he began to count, his own blood boiling - literally - the blood that dripped from his forearm began to bubble and spit as he shouted, "One. Two." he wove patterns in the air, chanting in his head. "Three!" he released the power that had built inside of him, the monster of a creature finally turning their way with death in it's eyes as it began to move towards them. He bit his lip, copper-blood filled his mouth but he continued on, the pain keeping him focused. The light from his open palm blasted into the creation that he had wrongly made, and the creature reared, either from pain or anger he did not know.

“Can a magician kill a man by magic?” Lord Wellington asked Strange.
Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. “I suppose a magician might,” he admitted, “but a gentleman never could.” — Susanna Clarke, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell
