The Character Tavern

I smiled, slipping through his magic but otherwise remaining in the alley. "I don't see why either of you had to interfere. We weren't planning on killing eachother." I told them, my green eyes flickernig dangerously. I wasn't exactly fond of these two practitioners of magic at the moment but I was having fun. Aside from where they'd attempted to stop my advance on the man.

"Give me the strongest thing you have." Seres told the bartender. He winced, feeling the effects of using Elaragnia's magic.I should probably get my drink and leave. He leaned against the bar and waited.

Antoine

He strolled into the tavern, his dark eyes like unpenetrable black holes as he scanned the interior. He made his way to a bar stool and sat down with a heavy sigh, "I'll have a monster, whiskey, coke mix." he told the bartender, not unused to the stares he got once he'd ordered his usual concoction of liquid.

The bartender came back and handed him a large glass of black liquid. He raised an eyebrow, "Coffee?" The bartender held the glass up to the light, showing dark red streaks in the liquid.
"It's called Bloody Dreams." the bartender replied, " it's the strongest thing we have." Seres grinned, took the glass and tossed it back. He set the glass on the counter and liked his lips. "Can I have another?"

The bartender raised a hand to signal a moment before pouring in the mixture for the next boy who'd ordered, "Here." he said grouphly, passing it to the boy. Antoine looked at it in mild curiosity before tossing it back as Seres had done. He licked his chalps, like a predator who'd just eaten the first kill of the day.

The bartender left and got him another drink. He drank this one slowly, savoring the taste. "Did you have a bad day too?" he asked the man beside him.

"Naw, I wouldn't call it a bad day." he responded, "It was more of an eventful moment in time but I do say that killing innocents isn't exactly easy on the conscions. It doesn't help either that if I had't killed them then I would be a liability." he muttered taking a sip of the next drink the bartender set down before him. "I can't afford sleep when my next victim is to walk into this tavern from here t'ill midnight, or in between that time." he told the man, who looked very interested.

Interesting "That sounds a lot worse than my day." he took another sip. "I'm glad, it was only an old acquaintance who wanted to see me."

"Well, i'm Antoine. You are?" I asked, putting my hand before him and the other man grasped it. "Seres. Nice to meet'cha." he responded, tipping back his drink for another sip. I reached for my own drink, pulling back my hand and then taking a sip of the mixture. "Not the easiest of jobs." I said, "An old aquaintance be welcome."

Seres shook his head. "Not if you met mine. He sold me out." His soul ached. The piece he had absorbed made his pain even sharper. "He sold me out," Seres repeated, " to a group that ripped my soul apart. Now he want's to make up. I don't know whether to kill him or use him to send a message to the Collective saying leave me alone or else." He didn't know why he was telling this to someone he barely knew, but it felt good to.

Antoine turned to look at the man, "Well it's my job as an assasin to kill, so if you need someone to help you. I could always just injure." I tell him, a sly smile on my face. The blade sheathed at my shin is cold now, warning me of my job that will have to be completed soon. His name was Deiter, and he was to die or Antoine himself would take the wound.

Seres sighed, "As much as I would like to take you up on that offer, I rather like his sister and wouldn't want her coming after me. She can be quite scary."

"You haven't met my sister, she's a handful." he responded, smirking. "She's half werewolf, though she can change at will without the moon to tell her when to change. Her name's Katherine, the more recent version of Katarina." he smiled. "My recent name would be Anthony, but I choose to keep Antoine."

"Sounds familiar. I may have met her once." Seres said. He took another sip of his drink and as the bartender came around, asked for another. "How old are you?" he asked Antoine.

Antoine smiled languidly over the rim of his glass as he raised it once again to his lips, he set it down and looked at Seres for a moment, before replying. "I'm eighteen years old." he responded, and he watched as Seres frowned thoughtfully. "You don't seem to act much like an eighteen year old." said Seres, and Antoine's eyes narrowed. "You are perceptive. If you want to know how long I've been eighteen you should be more specifique. I've been eighteen since 1839. No I am not a vampyre or any kind of blood drinking monster." he explained, his black eyes had changed color to a dark auburn brown.
