Interpretaions

Hello, this is my first post on YWS. I am not a newbie, I prevoiusly had an account, but I decided to start fresh.
My first picture is a cartoon interpretation of my friends and I. On book day, we got to dress up as a book charcater. My friends and i dressed up as charters from Alice in Wonderland. Can you guess who's who?
I also drew an interpretation of THE QUEEN OF HEARTS from the most recent Alice in Wonderland, directed by Tim Burton.

Heh, I like these. The first one especially; is it the Cherise Cat, the March Hare, and Alice? You've got a nice drawing style; it's on the realistic edge but still a touch cartoony. I've especially liked how you drew Alice. Also, you have a re-sized image that doesn't stretch browsers, so I commend you on that.

However, there were a few things. Firstly, usually when people don't color things in, they shade to add value. Right now you've got no color and no value, so it seems as if I'm just looking at a bunch of empty lines. Secondly, I don't really like your drawing of the Queen of Hearts. The paper looks really dark-almost dirty-and the body seems squashed together. I don't really see anything worth remembering in that drawing. She almost looks like a girl dressing up as the Queen of Hearts.

Anyway, these weren't too bad. You're definitely better then I am. Keep drawing, and send me a PM if you have any questions, or if you ever post anything new that you would like me to review.

My Queen of Hearts drawing was just something I randomly drew. I chaged the picture to make the paper less dirty. I'm probably going to add another post showing my coloured in drawings.
