Ashley:

Foster came back in and slamed the door behind him. I barely flinched and reached for the IV. Foster pulled my hand away.

"If I let you see your sister, would you let me teach you?" he asked. "If not...." he shrugged. "You'll never see her again."

I glared at him and shook off his hand. "My answer is still no."

Foster sighed and shook his head. "Then you're in for a lot of pain."

I felt his presence fade in and narrowed my eyes at him. The drugs were wearing off.

Foster frowned at me. "So that is what happened," he murmured and left the room.

I let out a relieved breath. Suddenly I realised that Rory wasn't in the next room anymore.

"Damn it," I muttered and pulled out the IV.

Just a quick note... since nobody is playing Ashley's sister, do you mind if we just put in a lovely little twist and say that she has been dead the whole time, Foster was just baiting Ashley? Scarlett? And then we can ave a lovely little anguish scene...

Go for it. I don't mind. Just bare in mind Ashley's profile and what it said about the sister. Maybe Foster had the sister beheaded? Hmm.. Or maybe he has he killed soon. *shrugs* Whatever works.

*Susan*

Eventually, a few workers got Susan off the ceiling and her skin changed back to.. well, skin. She was taken towards the room she had been in originally, but assured that the worst was over. A nice worker sat her down on a bench. Susan looked around. A boy writhed on a table, and another worker, wiping her eyes, walked away from his side. A girl, who looked about eleven, was asleep on a table. No.. not asleep. She didn't appear to be breathing. So, dead, then. The worker who had brought Susan there caught her staring. "She passed away this morning. I'm pretty sure Foster had something to do... well, never mind. She'll be taken away soon." he whispered. "Between you and me, I think Foster's cooking something up. A plot. I heard him telling her sister that she was still.. well, alive. That man is twisted."
"Who?" Susan wondered.
"Foster? He's the head honcho around here. He has a license to kill, so he basically does whatever he wants. The rest of the government doesn't care. All of you... well, according to the U.S.A., you're nothing more than animals." He gave her a sympathetic pat on the head.
"Now, I have to give you a few injections for assorted diseases. Then we'll find you a place to stay. Also, mind not... mentioning out little conversation here? Foster'll have my head. Literally."
Susan nodded, and the worker started to stick a needle into her arm. He stopped. Susan had become the same wood as the bench. He sighed. and mumbled something that sounded like "Those damn metamorphs..."
Susan stood, and her skin turned back t normal. The worker finished giving her the injections, and led her back into the hallway.
"Room 8 has an open bunk. We'll put you there." He said, as they walked down.

(anyone mind if Susan bunks with Jessica? Texan?)

Rory

When I came around I was still strapped to the table in the lab. My sister wasn't there anymore and I suddenly wished I hadn't spun out at her. I felt numb from the injection but the pain my sister had promised soon erupted inside of me. I screamed and my sister ran around the divide. She grasped my hand.

"Rory! Rory, I'm so sorry, I gave you the wrong injection. One that hadn't been tested, I'm so sorry." She said tears streaking down her face. I wanted to tell her that it was OK and that I was sorry but I could talk for screaming. Her salty tears dripped onto my face as she stuck another needle in my arm another painkiller. She rocked me back and forth and I felt the pain ease a little. It was enough for me to mutter,

"I'm sorry." I passed out.

Texan! Hey, Texan! *flails arms* Now would be a good time to bring Jessica in, or whatever her name is. Your second character! I'm bunking with her! We're gonna be besties! But not really, cuz your character's evil and hates people. So yes! Bring her in! She and Susan can have an epic face-off! maybe. I actually have no idea.

**edit: I forgot to copy this part out of Word**
Ee-gah! Sorry! School’s crazy today, and yesterday I was busy and uncreative, and the day before that and the day before that we had friends over… I’m posting now! Really! Right now!
**

Jessie

I swayed my arm through the footboard of my bed, bored out of my mind. After trying to notice some stain on the perfectly white sheets or the perfectly clean walls, and after seeing how many times I could hit my head against the wall before passing through, I was officially bored. Every minute was on schedule, it seemed, practicing and training and sleeping and breathing and being bored. In fact, according to schedule, something was going to happen right, about…

The door slid open. I stopped swinging my arm to curl up and hug my knees. Two people walked in, the door slid closed and I focused on my feet intently. “This is your room,” said the male visitor, now to be called “the worker”, to the other visitor before he left. “You’re to stay here until told otherwise by staff.”

The door slid open and closed again as the worker left. The other visitor, who I assumed to be a patient-slash-kid, paused for a moment before walking over to and sitting down on the bed. If things went to schedule –I had had a few roommates before this one– the kid would be looking up at me, waiting for me to look up at her and start a conversation to lighten the mood. Well, I wouldn’t. The mood wouldn’t be lightened since I had nothing to talk about except the little bloodstain I had found in the corner. I stared at my shoes like they were the most beautiful things ever.

“Hi,” she –the kid– said. “I’m Susan.” She waited for a reply before asking my name. I didn’t give it, and in a kind of twisted way, enjoyed the pressured silence. It was… right on schedule. Then I realized how twisted I was becoming, through all the bad vibes and monotony and just plain evilness.

“Good Lord, I have to get out of here,” I whispered my thoughts aloud without thinking.

**I’ll post again later, for Foster and Jessie. I have to finish my schoolwork.**

Now that I’m into it I really don’t want this to die. Post, people!

Isaiah Foster

He pulled a hand through his hair, scrunching up his face. Another complication. 0 With a new plan working out in his mind’s eye, he didn’t have time to recall the past. When the plan started to include other patients, he remembered something.

“Ms. Gertuse?” he said, holding down the intercom button. “Whom was I speaking with before being interrupted by Miss Cambell?”

“Hero Grywisovich, if I’m right.”

“Let’s hope you are,” he said, getting up from his chair. He headed out for the interrogation room, again.

Rory,

I came around in my room. Ashley was leaning over me, she drew back when she noticed that I was awake.

"Your sister just brought you in here, told me to watch you," she gabbled in explanation. "You've been gone for days. Where were you?"

I groaned and sat up in my own time. "I was in a lab," I said rubbing my head and stretching. "I remember my sister giving me an injection and then pain..."

Ashley touched my arm in comfort but withdrew when I gave her a questioning look. "I was just..." she muttered. I shrugged.

"I feel fine now and I guess that's all that matters," I said. "There's something I want to try though, do you mind if I control you?" I asked sudden excitement in my eyes, I wanted to know whether the injections had heightened my power.

Ashley looked confused but she nodded. I pushed at the walls of her mind and found that entering and taking control of her eyes and movement was easy. I could see through her eyes what I looked like. I had a vacant expression on my face and I looked empty. I withdrew from her mind, the injections hadn't given me new powers but controlling people was easy now.

Ashley:

I winced as Rory's control disappeared and rubbing my forehead.

"I woke up in here yesterday," I told him and sat down on the bed. "I still can't feel much." I looked away and glared at the door. "I guess Foster gave me something to dull my powers and it still hasn't worn off yet."

"Oh, right," Rory mumbled and sat up.

"Yeah, it sucks," I muttered.

We sat in awkward silence for a moment until the door clicked open.

"Lunch time," I announced and stood up. I headed for the door and looked back to see if Rory was going to come too. He was still sitting on his bed. "Rory?"

ohhh sorry. I didn't read it that carefully. But he should be really weak... probably not in much of a talking mood... plus, Scarlett, he knows your little sister is dead.
