Hello! :D Nice to be here. I just go by "Hakkake"... I'd like to use it as part of a pen name some day because my real name is really very blah, nothing memorable. 'Hakkake' is the name of the inner lining of the hem and sleeves of kimono, and it's probably my most favorite part of the garment because of its intimacy. I collect kimono; they are one of my biggest passions in life as an art form and as clothing.

Other than being a Japanophile, I'm a Francophile XD I speak a bit of French but I've lost a lot of it since high school. I'm currently in college majoring in Japanese, which takes up most of my free time for anything else :( When I do have free time I like to wander around the neighboring towns a lot, shop and just take in the views. And sleep. Sleep is good.

I practice crystal therapy and alternative healing, divination, and all sorts of random things really. I love all things Occult and paranormal :3. This love was probably born from my love of scary movies and books as a kid, and my general belief that there is more to life than what we see on the surface.

As far as being a writer, to be honest I'm really not much of a writer save for what I can wring out of my brain and call poetry. I spend most of my writing life planning and dreaming and getting all pumped to write... but then as soon as I start I lose that excitement because I realize what hard work it is. I'm definitely more of a reader than a writer, so maybe I can help out around here with reviews and stuff. Eventually I'll be able to write, I just need the discipline and belief in myself [/cheesy]. I'd like to be a horror/fantasy writer :) So if there are any other horror fans and/or writers out there, please say hello :D

What's your favorite cookie?

I like cookies. :) You will probably notice, since I posted "What's your favorite cookie?" on a different welcome thing, too. :) I bet you're intimidated by me, eh? That's cool if you are.

Anyway, WELCOME! OMG. I repeat myself way too often.

Japan is definitely a country full of awesomeness. Crystal Therapy? I don't know what the heck that is, but it sounds pretty awesome. What do you think about the the traditional food of your country? I love it, especially sushi ^^.

And you speak french too? Epicness. I speak it, but I'm not very good. Anyway, welcome to YWS and don't be afraid to PM me if you have any questions.

Well, the traditional food of my country would be American food, which I'm not too fond of save for Taco Bell lol. You know, it's kind of hard to pinpoint traditional American food, seeing as most of our dishes are European in descent. My favorite food overall is anything served as a curry dish :D lol

My favorite Japanese food is probably mochi, the kind stuffed with anko. I am yet to meet a Japanese food I dislike, though it took me a while to get used to the flavor of seaweed (now I love it!). I'm lucky, in respects to food, that my boyfriend's mother is Japanese and loves cooking dishes from home. I really just love food in general XD Pizza, pasta, fruit, vegetables, curry... I'm a vegetarian but I did used to enjoy meat.

Fantasy and horror, that's me. Or rather fantasy and darkness. Not necessarily horror but the grimy reality of characters who've been through the mill. Favourite authors?

Howdy! Salutations, I'm Heather XD

It's a pleasure to meet you. I love the occult and all things supernatural too actually (have you seen the series supernatural? Amazing.) but I'm also a sceptic. An odd combination huh? I don't believe in any of it but it fascinates me and I'll admit I dabble in playing with tarot cards, gemstones and the elements. I'm probably the sort of person real believers hate because I just can't help meddling and grappling with it. i think it's the history that fascinates me.

Yeah, that's me as well. Historian to some degree, I love that little touch of historical background to a novel.

Also, don't put your poetry down. I'm intrigued, I'd love to read some. Maybe you have some posted, hmm? Alas, not yet but drop me a line when you do perhaps?

Heather xx

p.s. Feel free to pm for help or a chat ^^
