Not bad for your first post in the art forum. Not bad at all.

Just a few pointers though (some commending, some critisizing):

I like your color scheme; the blues and purples look good together with the black and white. I also like how you depicted the folds in the cloth, as to how it lays on her body.

However, you might want to work a little bit on your girl. She doesn't look that bad, don't get me wrong, and I know how hard it is to draw people - I've been having trouble for five years myself. But a tip: you could use guidelines, drawn in pencil and then later erased after finishing your inkwork, to help you line things up.

But anyway. Good job!

Could you make the picture smaller? I mean, it would just be easier, sorry to be a pain.
I like this dress. C: I could see it in Debenhams, I really could. ;D Is it more an evening gown or some occasion dress? I would guess that from the length. Actually, it looks more Monsoonish to me... Might be the colours. Monsoon come up with great combinations. I love that colour blue, and it goes well with the purplish blue, and that great shade of brown. :smt023 Nice.
But if you were going for a more summery, everyday dress, making it knee-length would work.
:D
Anyway, it is a gorgeous dress. Love the waistline.
Sorry if this review wasn't too helpful. I just like the dress.

You're = Omission. You're quite strange...

If you are confused about which to put, simply say in your mind "you are" and see if that fits the sentence. If not, you are looking for your.

Hi! This is really, really good. I keep imagining that dress as real-it would be so gorgeous! I only have one nitpick, and that is to, please, please make it smaller. Only a small portion of the picture shows for me at a time, so I keep having to scroll, and it's not fun-especially since I can't see the whole image at a time. Also, this stretches out my browser, which also isn't fun. If you re-size this so the dimensions are about 600x400, you should be good.

Ooh, very nice!

I love the dress. <3 I have a feeling you didn't actually try hard on the girl, but was more using her like a mannequin?

Also, for resizing, it depends on what program you are using, as to how you do so. Paint? Photoshop?

Overall though, very nice! I have some instructions for some commonly used programs on how to resize below, under where I sign off.. :)

~Firearris

Paint Program: Paint program is hard to resize things on, since it's so basic. There is an option that resizes, but it only resizes the canvas, cutting off the image. The only way I know of for Paint is to select the image and drag the corner to a smaller size.

Photoshop: Now, I haven't used photoshop in a long time, so sorry if this isn't very detailed! I believe somewhere towards the top in the options like "File" and such, there should be "Image" or "Edit" or someeething like that, where you can scroll over it and see something to resize the image.

Fireworks: Again, I haven't used it in ages. I think that towards the lower section of the screen, there should be a big square ish section and beside it you can put in the sizings, to see this though, you may have to select the image first. If this isn't found, try what I said for photoshop.
[Griffinkeeper] 10:45 pm: The guard appears "We have weasels now!"
[Firearris] 10:45 pm: askes the guard for the weasel!
[Griffinkeeper] 10:45 pm: The guard gives Firearris the Weasel.
[Firearris] 10:46 pm: aquires the weasel and renames it "Cat"

Take that, Lumi.

ooh nice the colours looks really nice together... the face looks a bit odd, but i do really like it! It looks a bit messy, but i'm sure with more practice you'll get better. and i did something like this the other day in my textiles class with a template like that. :) i was going to do some fashion drawings and post them on here ha ha, and then i saw this one! i do like the bangle on the right arm, very nice, and the top half design is absolutely beautiful! Keep drawing! (er... designing)

Shunhi!

That's such a prettiful dress. I love the flow and the colors. I'd love to see more of your work. As Carly said, you could work more on the bottom half in the sense that take some time and give a touch of texture/layering.

On resizing using Photoshop,
Under edit, there's an option that says Canvas Size. Choose the width about 500 pixels. That should be fine.

Or there's always tinypic, (google it, it's a free download) that'll reduce your file size easily. Though there will be a slight reduction in the quality.

ANyway, keep designing.
Cheers,
~Lava

Hey there.
- Love the colours
- Love the originality
- Not sure about the face, but hey, it's the clothes design we're looking at! XD
- My favourite thing is the upper bit of the clothing.
- Not being a fashion dude myself, but I think an improvement would be to make the bottom of the dress a little more "hip" such as cutting it upward diagonal towards the hip or something, it seems a little 20th century at the moment.
- Keep it up!

Thanks Ben. Every friend of mine keeps on insisting to make a better face. As i am bit weak in that so I leave the face blank but still they have a problem. Thanks for saying that it's the dress taht matters.

Hey, it's Kaedee! I love how at the torso area this dress is asymmetrical, which gives it character. You did a great job, as everyone else said.
If you want to downsize your pics, etc., open up your file in a photo editing program (such as Gimp, my personal favorite, or Photoshop), then there ought to be a tool such as 'scale image'. If you use a popular photo editing program, there should be tips/manuals online.
Keep up the good work!
