Personality: Nobody knows anything about her. She's a mute who makes no attempts to be social. The only time she shows any personality is anger, when she fights. She has never lost.
Appearance: Short, with a little chubbiness. A pretty face with striking blue eyes. Long dark brown hair.
Skills: Incredible fighting skills, apparent control of fire.
History: Has never lost a fight, one set the Hermes cabin on fire accidentally. She cannot speak, and has only tried once. Chiron asked her if she would like the name Victoire Hawks when she came to camp, and she nodded.
Up for Love: Unknown. Probably not.
Other: She has a sword with a blue blade. Nobody knows what it's made of, and she cannot tell. It doesn't appear to have any special powers.
Ahhh! I was so worried there wouldn't be anymore spots =] Glad I caught this in time!
Name: Dara Lanning
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Parent: Athena
Personality: Witty, smart. Observant and outgoing, not afraid of telling people the truth, even if it's not what they want to hear. She can come off as a little judgmental, but it's just a front. She's a natural leader, and will often take charge in uncertain situations. If she makes a decision, she sticks with it. She's also a perfectionist- if things don't go exactly as planned, she gets really stressed out. She doesn't handle verbal conflict well, preferring to think things out on her own.
Skills: Dara had taken gymnastics and karate as a kid, so her abilities in hand-on-hand combat are almost instinctive. She's a little raw and impulsive, though. She's quick to fight, but not so quick to talk things out.
History: Grew up in Maine. Her father was always kind and supportive, and always wanted Dara to succeed in everything she did. He had high expectations of her, because of her mother, but was never disappointed. She came to camp half-blood when she was nine.
Up for Love: Yes.
The key to every locked heart is commonly found hiding within little insecurities.
Well, I think I've made all of you suffer enough. Let us BEGIN!!
*Cori*
It was before dawn when I left my cabin. Charlie was still asleep, worn out after a big canoeing trip he took yesterday, so I didn't bother waking him up.
I slipped on my most comfortable hunting tunic and sandals. I only wore the really old fashioned stuff when I wanted to go hunting. I looked at myself in the mirror. I sighed. How am I able to run in this thing? I asked myself. The tunic came above my knees and started about the beginning of my thigh. I shook my head. Oh well. Just gotta do what you gotta do and be comfortable while doing it.
My dogs were laying on their palettes. I grabbed my bow and quiver of arrows and whistled to them quietly. They perked up. "Come." I said.
I ran out of the cabin and into the woods, the dogs on my heels. We ran deep into the woods where all of the game was. I crouched down behind a bush and waited. Soon, three wild pigs came through.
Mmmm. Looks like we're having bacon this morning. I thought as I strung up my bow. I let three arrows fly before any of the pigs knew what was happening.
I walked over to the bodies and knelt down beside them. "Thank you for dying to sustain the human race. You will be rewarded at Artemis's temple."
I stood up and grabbed up two of the pigs, even though both were a good hundred pounds each. We demi-gods were known to be pretty strong.
I looked at my dogs. "You think you two could carry that one without messing him up?" I asked them. They jumped up and wagged their tales. "Alright." I laughed. "Just be careful. We do enjoy eating them"
They grabbed the smallest pigs legs gently in their mouths and started to pull. When we came back into camp almost two hours later, the pig's feet were almost gone. We took them over to the mess hall and left them at the door for the cook. I was walking back to my cabin when I saw Chiron trotting towards me.
"Ah, Artemisia. Providing us breakfast once again I see."
"Only a small portion." I said with a blush.
He opened his mouth to reply when the conch horn blew. He smiled. "Go back to your cabin and prepare yourself for the day."
I smiled and waved good-bye and headed back to my cabin, my dogs once again on my heels."
>>>Can we post the godly parent with the name? Or else I'll get confused.<<<
Daemys, son of Athena,
The conch blows, and I groan. Being a head counselor can be very annoying sometimes. I sit up and blink, running a hand through my messy hair.
"Alright, you heard. Let's get up, everyone," I say, yawning. This is met with various moans, and grumbling. Dara is out of bed before anyone else, rubbing her eyes.
"How's it going?" I ask. She shrugs.
"I see," I say, amused. Then I turn to the rest of the campers.
"You lot are going to miss breakfast," I say, "And we've got a chariot race to get ready for!"

Raeni woke up and rolled out to the side of her bunk. (She had won it over a game of Pinochle.) She shook out her white blonde hair and then put it in a high ponytail, weaving gold thread through it so it sparkled. She hopped out of bed, and ran to the bathroom to get ready. In a minute she was out, jean shorts and purple tank top that said "KICk ASS" vertically. She stuck her sharpie (it turned into a staff) into her pocket and ran out the door slamming it shut behind her. She was ready for Chariot racing, and this year, she and Tay were going to win.
Last time they were so close. Ares cabin only managed to win because they had these Greek Fire arrows that burned your chariot from the inside out.
Tay was already at the stables sticking artillery into the chariot. "This time, we're gonna rock this place." Tay licked her lips and stuck some trajectory spikes into a side compartment. "You finish this up, I'm gonna warm up the horses."
"Tay, the race is this afternoon, it's only 8:00." Raeni pointed out, smiling. "Yeah yeah, can't hurt." She ran off to the stables.
Raeni shook her head and started reinforcing the wheel spokes. She muttered a few words and the chariot plated itself in bronze.
"How much more can you armour that thing?" Someone asked from behind her.
*anyone can come in*

I finished getting dressed by the time the conch horn blew. I was a bit of an early riser. Made a bit more time to practice.
I fastened my hammers in my belt and walked out the door. I slammed the door on my way out, which woke up the almost strangely sleepy Ares kids. I pulled out an oatmeal bar that I kept in my pocket for a quick breakfast. Besides, I had a race get ready for.
As I walked out the door, I realized I forgot something. "Thrax!", I yelled at the roof of the Ares cabin. He came down and started flying in circles around me.
I looked around at the currently empty camp. People would be rushing out soon, and all who were out so far seemed to be me and Daemys. I think he was waiting for his kids again.
I turned on my iPod and turned up the volume to "Sad But True" by Metallica. I had to finish up some final prep on the chariot before everything started, and the music helped me get in the mood to win.
I was going to win. I've been on a 3-time win streak on this race, and I was planning on make it 4.
Raeni was already there first. I felt a little cocky today, and wanted to have some fun with it.
"How much more can you armour that thing?", I asked. They turned around and looked at me. "Cuz it ain't gonna help you"
Raeni rolled her eyes at me and got back to working on her chariot. She was just ignoring me. Fine. No need fighting this battle.
I climbed into the seat of the Ares chariot. It was made of pig blood drenched, sliver metal. The crossbow we used on the chariot with the greek fire was in the chair.
I didn't like to play dirty, but I liked to win. I pulled out a small clump from my oatmeal bar and stuck it into the machinery. The fire would start when it was fired, but the arrow wouldn't shoot; it would just fall out into the user's chariot.
"Hey, you want this? We got some better tools this time round", I said to Raeni. She seemed pretty surprised. I tossed it to her and she caught it.
"Thanks", she said nervously. I don't know if she suspected that I screwed around with it, but she still seemed to want it. It wouldn't matter if it did work; I made the chariot resistant thanks to a special power mirror placed where the greek fire bursted at. We were safe from that thing.
I started tightneing some bolts on the front of the chariot, and I loosened some in the back section. My thought was that it would be able to fall off, and make us a little faster at the very end. A little weaker, but we'd have enough speed to make it. Today was going to be a good day. Someone might die, and I was going to win.

((((((Forever Threnody, I really really hate to say this, because you were really nice for putting me in your story, but I have two problems: One, I have never read the Percy Jackson books so I am soooooooo clueless about this stuff. Two, this is Tay's first year going to camp because she didn't know about her father until about three months ago, so she is also very clueless about this stuff. I really like what you wrote about her but could you change it up a bit? She can still be really excited about the race, but it can be because it's her first one. Again, sorry, now I feel really bad.))))))

She turns around. I usually race with Ama, Sena, and Dara. We all had very different abilities, but had a lot of fun because of it. My main job was to blind the oposing team, and throw them off balance. It worked really well, actually.
"Ready as I will ever be." She responds. I smile.
"There's that go-get-em attitude I love." I say, only half sarcastic.
"Hey, be nice." Said Dana.
Sena picked up a mirrior and fluffed her hair a little, "Does my hair look okay to you guys?"
"Its fine." I assure her.
"You guys all ready for today?" Ama asks.
"Uh, maybe, as long as I don't have to wear a helmet." Sena says. She really gets on my nerves sometimes.
Love is beautiful, but what would love be without life?
I check my reflection in the mirror. My hair still looks okay. I breath a sigh of relief. But I better check with the others.
"Does my hair look okay?" I ask Merisol.
"Its fine." She says to me.
"You guys all ready for today?" Ama asks.
"Uh, maybe, as long as I don't have to wear a helmet." I say. I hated wearing helmets. They ruin my hair and besides, I look awful in silver, just dreadful. I am better in blue.
"Tell me, do you ever think of anything BESIDES your hair?" Dana asks.
"Well, I also think about wearing cloths that match and..."
"Let me rephrase that question, "Do you ever think of anything besides your looks?"
"Sometimes." I say half-heartedly. I knew I was more than slightly vain, but it is impossible NOT to be when you are the daughter of the pretiest goddes in the universe.
But I was the pretiest demi-god, and no one would deny it.
>>>Anyone want to be paired with Daemys in the race?<<<
Daemys, son of Athena,
I throw on my racing clothes, and go to the chariot house, to go through a final check-up of Athena's chariot. We've been working with Hephaestus, and there are several hidden weapons all over the chariot. I smile. We have decent chance this time. And I plan to win. As I'm fiddling with a hidden expanding dart mechanism, someone comes up behind me.

I stepped inside the stables and breathed deeply to take in the smell of the horses. I walked up to the horses that Raeni and I were going to use for the race. One was a powerful gray appaloosa stallion. The other was Palomino with muscles bursting everywhere on his body. I was sure that the team would lead us to victory.
"Hey there, Ceetar," I said patting the Appaloosa's strong neck. He pricked his ears and blew threw is nostrils into my hand, a horse's way of saying hello.
I was nudged from behind and I turned to see Viyb. "Knock it off." I said pushing the Palomino away. He nudged me again, I think he knew that it was racing day and he was anxious to show his stuff.
"Are you guys nervous too?" I asked. Ceetar shook his head sending his main flying.
"Of coarse not," I answered my own question. "You've done this before. This is my first time..." I trailed off starting to feel worried. But then I clinched my fists, smiled mischievously and finished my sentence, "And I plan on making it good."
As I walked Ceetar and Viyb outside to run them I saw Gabe enter the stable that held the chariots. I glared at him; even though I had only been at half-blood camp for a little while I already didn't like or trust him. I was thankful that Raeni was in there so that she could make sure that he didn't touch our chariot; because, from what Raeni told me, he was a cheater. Ceetar blew loudly through his nostrils, his ears pulled back. And Viyb pranced as if he was anxious to run so that he could show Gabe what he was made of. I could tell that they disliked the proud boy as much as I did. "Come on guys, lets get training so that you can kick his butt."
