It's 2015, nine years after the great Percy Jackson. Camp Half-Blood still provides a safe haven for many demi-gods. The gods still have in place the law that says Zeus, Poseidon and Hades cannot have children.

Chiron and Dionysus still run the camp. There are still twelve cabins, though three are still not used. There are many fun activities at Camp Half-Blood, including archery, capture the flag, and canoeing.

Although it sounds like an almost normal summer camp, Camp Half-Blood is used to train warriors, heroes. Would you like to be one?

Here's a list of the gods you can choose as parents:

Hestia-goddess of the hearth and newborn children
Hera-protector of marriage and goddess of married women
Demeter-goddess of the harvest
Ares-god of war
Artemis-goddess of the hunt, the moon, and the young
Apollo-god of music, medicine, light, truth, and prophesy
Aphrodite-goddess of love and beauty
Hermes-god of travelers, thieves, and commerce
Dionysus-god of wine
Athena-goddess of war, wisdom, handicrafts, and city
Hephaestus-god of fire and the forge

(There are other lessor gods, but you'll have to research them yourselves :smt003 )

Rules:

Even though you're a demi-god, you can still be killed. It's just harder to do.

Language is permitted, just not excessive.

No sex please.

All other YWS rules.

I'm totally in.

Name: Gabe Harvey

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Parent: Ares

Personality: Very anti social, but incredibly focused on whatever he does. He tends to choose fighting as a first answer.

Appearance: Very tall compared to the other kids, has medium-length blue-dyed hair, and clear and healthily tanned skin.

Skills: A very rare Ares child ability is an enrage power, allowing him to make anger build up in others just by a wave of his hand.

History: Gabe was a strong, silent person in school. Although he had decent intelligence, he couldn't stand dealing with other people without a temper getting the better of him. He became an outcast in school. But around age 13, he ended up coming across a baby Stymphalian Bird (a metal, man eating bird) that was almost dead on the ground. When he showed others the passed out bird, they didn't see it as any more than a normal bird. Gabe had a first hand experience of the mist, and eventually he was found and recruited into the camp by a satyr. He left his home almost the instant he could.
Gabe still didn't care much for dealing with people, but he was told it was because of his father's nature. Somehow, Gabe was much more biologically close to Ares, so he was more like him; angrier, more a little more antisocial, not too cheery, and even with a rare ability to create anger in others. Gabe stayed in the camp since he first got there, and refused to go back home. He was allowed to stay, of course, and progressively has become one of the strongest fighters in the camp.
Gabe also kept the Stymphalian Bird, brought it back to full health, and keeps it as a pet, with it most always flying around near by. He named him Thrax, after one of Ares' other children. It's grown to about the size of an eagle since he first found it, and now Thrax helps fight with Gabe. Gabe only lives for the fight now, and doesn't search for anything else.

Up for Love: Meh, not really.

Other: Gabe's main and signature weapon are two hammers called "The Medusa Mallets". Whenever these hammers hit a body part of an enemy, the body part hit grows a layer of stone over it. It's not the strongest stone, but if Gabe is able to get enough hits on the target, he/she/it will be frozen in stone for about 15-20 minutes.

Intense"

Name: Artemesia Coretta (Goes by Cori)

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Parent: Artemis

Personality: Quiet and stubborn. She is very compassionate towards animals and children, but she's adamant about staying pure until she is completely in love. She doesn't trust certain people very easily.

Appearance: http://linedanser.deviantart.com/art/mytisk-dark-elf-95241128 Except she has normal ears.

Skills: She can run very, very fast. She's also the best archer at camp, even beating out the Ares and Apollo cabins. She's good with a lot of athletics, including wrestling.

History: Cori was left on the door step of her father when she was a baby. She and her dad got along okay, but she never felt at home with him. When she turned eight, her father sent her to Camp Half-Blood in the middle of December. She was alone for a while, with only Mr. D and Chiron to talk to. She loves Chiron as a father figure that her own was never able to be to her. He was the one who put the first bow in her hands. Cori met her mother only once, when she was fourteen. Her mother visited her on earth and gave her three gifts: A bow of silver, arrows that never miss its target, and a ring that allows her to turn into an animal or turn invisible. She was also friends with Percy and Annabeth. Annabeth taught her how to sword fight.

Up for Love: Yes!

Other: Has two hunting dogs, Artio, the foxhound and Opis, the beagle

I'd like a spot - but quick question... I thought Artemis would be another of the gods that couldn't have children, only because she is the goddess of chastity?

But I'll take an Hermes child, if that is okay...

To answer Phantom's question, I'm just going by differant fiction books that I've read. I'm going to pretend that the whole virgin thing only lasted until the end of the Olympians' rein. They (Hestia, Artemis, and Athena) eventually decided to have children. That's just how I'm thinking :)

She enjoys water sports but isn’t good with heights.

She has vivid blue eyes, high cheekbones.

I am totally in, so save a spot for me. I'll try get my characters details in later today.

PS. I have never read the books or seen the movie but is it still OK if I join? I mean, I know enough to know that the half-blood/demi-gods inherit powers from their Greek god parents. And I know about Greek gods.
(If I need to know any important details I would appreciate it if some one gave me a quick summary about it)
I'm a JESUS FREAK!!!

Do you have any idea why a raven is like a writing desk?

Name: Kevin Mooresgrove

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Parent: Hermes

Personality: He's a sweet, fun-loving guy. He doesn't bother with many formalities, because he thinks they are a wast of time. Kevin doesn't get intimidated or frightened by people very often, just as it is very difficult to get him angry. When he disagrees with someone, Kevin will usually just shrug it off and choose to walk away. He enjoys witty conversations and Capture the Flag. Kevin

Appearance: http://rockster1.deviantart.com/art/a-guy-75846511 Except he isn't missing a finger....

Skills: Kevin can be very sneaky when he wants to be. He has a way of simply fading into the background and escaping most people's gaze, unless they are specifically looking for him.

History: Kevin grew up very close to his mother. She's a novelist whose work has fallen on hard times. Kevin started going to Camp Half Blood every summer around the age of seven. This year, however, Kevin's mother needed to travel to key places in her next novel to do research. Kevin opted to stay at Camp Half Blood for the entire year versus having to travel so much. Kevin and his mother do keep in very close contact, however.

Up for Love: Yes.

Other: Hermes gave Kevin a watch that will transport almost anywhere when the hour hand is turned 36 hours forward and 36 hours back. However, this is very impractical when Kevin needs to get somewhere quickly, because the dials are tiny and Kevin's fingers slip.
